I love all the different shapes meeples/tokens! It's so neat to have a wine bottle, rooster and all the little trellis, cottage, windmill ones. Adds something to the game that's different than if you just used cubes.
If you had waited 30 seconds more, he says that the expansion will be available for anyone later on. Regardless, thank you rahdo for your wonderful videos.
I got this expansion with my Kickstarter pre-order. I don't know what it's called but I got it! Pretty much sums up the boardgame Kickstarter scheme going on nowadays.
Personally I don't like the idea of an expansion that's available right away. It says that they have held back content specifically and that the base game is incomplete.
Then you may be pleased to know that this expansion is so superfluous that it was dropped from the 2nd edition, and is not available anywhere officially, only through 'print and play' websites. So it really was an addition, and not, in fact, base-game content :)
I can't imagine that anybody, anywhere, would use that last worker to plant one apple card in the summer, instead of saving it for winter to gain £7. Especially when the player is out of money, and apples gain you next-to-nothing except a slight increase in moral. That's mental :-P
10 years old and still the best playthrough video of this game.

Thanks so much for creating this run-through, Richard!
@29:13 "...Jen doesn't age at all..." There's some magic chemical in the Malta drinking water, lol.
Just a quick note, the el Grande worker only gets the bonus in a 2 player game if no one has gone to the spot first.

I was so about to write PEE-no. Jen just beat me to it. 😆

the game actually looks like good fun, though 2 player variant looks like expansions could really help it out.
Checking this out to see which peeks our interest more, Viticulture or Vinhos. First World Problems....can't afford to chase both! ;)
At 26:28, the Crush Expert, kinda look`s lile Jen :)
I love your reviews, but how can you play Viticulture without knowing how to pronounce Pinot ... ;)
I always smile a bit at how you can't pronounce French words. But "Pinot"? It's pronounced "PEE-noh", as in Pinot noir. (PEE-noh nwar).
Aaaaaaand I just saw Jen's note :)
need to find a game that could serve as an 'el hephe' add-on.
