Sending everyone good vibes during this tough time! Here are tips I've actually used to get my finances in order! What other videos related to money do you want to see? Investing 101 is coming! - hugs from your virtual big sis 💜
Well... ? Well... ? ...mmm! 🥰Maybe you can do The value of a dollar/currency in certain locations you visit?! When you were traveling With a teaspoon of your videos of that location. You know what to do.😇Then add some of your Brainstorming powers!! And I hope that’s Apple juice with 100% vitamin C 😂 Save me some😂
Balling on a budget lol. I have done crazy stuff to save a buck. I wanted to go to. NYC SO BADLY that I booked a flight into the long island flight (ISLP) and walked 3 miles to Ronkonkoma and took the commuter train into NYC and got to Jamaica center queens and to my Airbnb to Astoria queens. Took 2.5 hours. Lol crazy stories to save a buck.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO, JO! I'm 26 and I feel like I still know NOTHING about personal finance ('till now 😊) which is unfortunate because I have some debt and this is my first time actually grasping the concept of what APR means and stands for. 🤦🏽♀️ I wrote down all the tips you shared and I finally feel like I have a plan, thanks for explaining everything and breaking it down in an easy-to-understand way. I was literally clueless about so much of this stuff! I'm about to start a HYS account asap especially since I realized that my bank has been charging me a $5 per month fee for having a savings account like WTF?! Every little bit adds up over time and that's $60 per year that I'd rather spend on a slightly nicer airbnb when I'm traveling after outside opens back up. Any who, I'd like to see more investing and passive income stream videos too! Also, congratulations on your new site! Go girl, keep thriving! 💕
iwilitu I’m Armenian from France and that’s exactly what I was thinking, the thought of having to live on a credit is mind boggling to me especially when I see people not with one but with two or three credit cards, I’m like wait..what?Thats the difference between American and European way of living I guess
Kiwi here, this whole vid is kinda surreal haha (great though! I'm enjoying watching it even though much doesn't apply to me - and what does apply to me is crazy helpful and important) - In NZ we only worry about credit score in a casual kinda "one day you're gonna want to get a house" way; very little else is done on credit
You do... The sad truth. My family figures I'm well off (they aren't wrong) but I keep doing poor things lol. You have to keep them guessing or they will want your money.
Please do a video on all your passive incomes and how you built them. Also a video on investing. And another on helpful finance books- I heard 4 hour week is good. I currently follow Beat the Bush and Nate O’Brien and they also give super helpful financial tips. I remember in high school my algebra teacher made us take a Dave Ramsey course our senior year and it wasn’t until my sophomore year in college that I got more serious about my finances. Financial advice/should be a priority and also taught in schools especially for the youth to know and use in the real world. Thanks for this video Jo. 🙏
I would like to see videos about student loan management, roth ira/starting retirement, basically anything a 22 fresh out of college young person needs to know.
I might be able to help yall with that as well I paid of $17,000 of student loans in 7 months with a very low income a few months after leaving college, had a $22,000 in a portfolio i saved in less than 2 years(half of which was in a roth ira) and I am a licensed tax professional that has legally paid nothing in income taxes since i left college
I live in Venezuela and I’m 16 I’m trying to teach myself about this topics because I want to help my family, living in a hyper inflationary country can take away all your dreams, it’s so hard to see how my mom is getting old and she studied and graduated from law school to take good care of me and my sister and now we barely have the money to afford the daily food but that’s something that I’m willing to change I need to do it for them. It’s just that all this financial terms are still confusing to me but I’m here trying to learn to be ready for when I can have the opportunity to emigrate, thank you for helping us with this kind of videos, thanks to you I still have hope And if you have any advice to situations like mine I would really appreciate it❤️
stay positive, puede ser mucha inflación destruye sueños, si yo fuera en esa situación trataría encontrar una manera de intercambiar mi dinero por algo más estable como oro puro, plata puro, el dólar estadounidense , oh algo que no es la moneda de mi pais. i know that's probably easier said than done, if not impossible, sino vale la pena de tratar. Si la economia alli es muy mal quizá considera saliendo el pais, once again I know that may be impossible, not a desirable option, and it is definitely easier said then done.. I wish you well on your journey
Im 18, and I beg teachers and parents to help me become more financially literate and no one seems to have answers. This video helped sooo much and I hope you continue spreading this knowledge. You’re amazing! Such an inspiration!!
I think you should check dave Ramsey for his baby steps Ignore his investment advice tho but the basics ie emergency fund and expenses are solid principles
financial education is important and it will get you far, i've always been a frugal individual since I was a little kid, but real financial education goes beyond just saving money, and thats what I help others with now
I find it incredible that ALL Americans are in debt when they start their lives... I graduate this year after 6 years of studies, I had no help from my parents but I didn’t get a student loan, just working during holidays and part-time last two years and I even managed to get a bit of savings... that’s when I realize that I’m lucky to be French ahah
Not all but most. Some Americans are super rich and don’t know the meaning of debt or student loans. I worked my ass of and managed to get a scholarship for school. I want be going into debt any time soon. Plus I’m leaving for France or Germany.
Americans have more work experience and move up in positions because many start working at 16, in high school to pay for college. Americans learn many trades from experienced workers and educational programs for trades thus why many prefer to employ Americans. I was paid intern at 18 in Brazil through an American company because I had job training in a high school program and developed work experience in my field. Many college graduates from other countries that arent the U.S. because its 4 years for a bachelor's, not 3 like in the EU dont workout usually because college does not always equal smart people who work hard and know that much of anything and they dont go to school as long as students in the U.S. My bachelors will carry over to most other countries no problem.
Jo you’re an inspiration, I’m a girl like you whose family has struggled as immigrants in a foreign country and you inspire me to dream bigger, I want to be able to travel like you, to have a company like you, to manage a team, to cultivate myself (you motivate me to learn even more languages, I currently speak 8) to get my shit together and to just be a better person, I love you❤️
I love you. Found you today. I need all of the financial info, like you my parents were poor and didn’t teach us about money. I learned the hard way. Thank you!!
Please make a video on investing!! I have always wanted to get into it but am so confused on how and where to start!! Though I am from Australia I would love to hear your thoughts about it and how to find out the right amount of money to put into invedting. Love you Jo!! So proud of you xx
JO FRANCO thank you so much for THIS! You're such a helpful person and you've taught me how to be more free and yet practical, and more happy in my life! Thank you to you from a Venezuelan immigrant in the U.S.!!!
I’m 17, but this is one of the greatest, realest conversations about money and finance that anyone has ever given me. Never delete this video. I’m gonna need this in the future.
Jo we need more of these personal finance videos! You actually provide information that's practical. We can leave this video and DO something different. Thank you. 🙏🏾
I will like to see a financial video of being debt free and the road to financial freedom. Thank you for the great financial tips and advice. Excellent.
Ok I love the video. As a CFP (certified financial planner), a few things people HAVE to Realize. Yes credit scores is very important in order to get a house, car, or credit card, but credit scores is a report card on how well you pay your debt. In order to be financially independent we would need to be debt free. One of the first things my clients say is how can I have better credit? Or, should I take out another credit card to increase my credit score? We need to shift our mentality from thinking about credit scores to thinking about how am I able to grow my net worth. Great video though!
am i completely not financial independent and dont know squat about finanances? yes. did i understand anything from this video? no. did i still watch it and thoroughly enjoy it and start planinng for my future because jo inspires the hell out of me? you goddamn bet!
Jo, we're the same age and you're such an inspiration to me. Finally someone with similar experiences as me sharing information on how to hit the ground running and fix finances that you couldn't get help with from family. it's not their fault but it's definitely hard having to be the one to break the cycle. I thank you and appreciate you so much. Keep grinding, mama!
gosh when quarantine is over can we go grab a coffee? Brazilian here too, moved to America, work my butt off and pursuing the dream of being my own boss ☺️ I’ll fly wherever you are, I got plenty of miles saved bc YO GIRL luhsss finance too!
Bruh. I’ve been following the joint channel for a while and such. I migrated away when my life took a turn that had me focused on other things. BUT I’m LiVInG for these money talks.
Fellow Brazilian in the US here! Girl, thanks for doing what schools and college failed to. Why don’t we learn about this stuff in the classroom? Why do they want to keep us financially uneducated? We need to study trigonometry but can’t even do taxes 😫
I learned more about credit in this video than I did in my hs econ class good lord bless u (from someone who has always been terrified of credit cards) ;)
One video that I’d love to see is about not making the same financial mistakes the ones before you have made. Or maybe “How to build up your credit history if you are a young teenager” (18+). You’d be surprised how many teens don’t know about the financial world because not all of our parents introduce us to it. I was lucky enough to have 2 immediate family members who’ve worked for the bank and have been advising me on how to manage my finances. 😊
hey jo! I just want to say you're amazing and that sharing all these experiences are very helpful to me. Please never stop because if you're helping me, there is probably a ton more. love you girl! lol
JO!! You are so amazing, your advise is so helpful! I am also from immigrant parents and they did there best for us. It's up to me to learn and improve my financial knowledge to invest. Thank you for creating these type of videos
Hi Jo! 👋🏾 I really love how you made learning about finances fun and easy. I used to think that it was boring and annoying but as a 17 year old, I don't have a lot of time left before I'm able to make my own financial decisions. So, thank you for not only being an inspiration but also a guide.
As an 19 year old college student, this is the most helpful thing. I too don’t come from money and have watched my parents live pay check to paycheck. Definitely want to be much more financially independent! Thank you Jo
I appreciate you, Jo! I am a Dominicana who lives in Jersey and i see a lot of myself in you! Thank you for making content for people like me who dont usually feel seen. Futura Diplomat, you are one of the reasons why.
holy cow! you opened my eyes to so many things and cant wait for more. definitely more financial videos on investing and perhaps what to do when you have a lot credit cards open. thank you!
It is not in my best interest(no pun intended) to say this but never pay credit interest, pay them off quickly, then use them wisely, i have roughly 4 credit cards and never pay any interest but get cashback and points I can use to idk buy a sandwich or a plane ticket
that 90s intro is def. a bit of me, laaaav it! v v useful video, thanks for that! also video suggestion (mainly because I love watching them and haven't got round to filming mine) but .... what's in my bag (or you could do travel bag .... or in your shut up & go tote (shameless plug)) 😂😄
This video was so good and I loved it; I decibel this came from where you came from with money and I’ve had to learn a lot of these things on my own and it was so nice to have it laid out like that. Thanks, Jo!
As somebody in his early twenties, I definitely needed to see this vid and i am looking forward to seeing more of this type of vids from you, Jo! EVERYBODY SAY THANK YOU JO FRANCO
Thanks jo! You made me realize I’m not as financially illiterate as most people and I knew what you were talking about! These financial videos I’ve been watching and educating myself have paid off!
I loveeeee paying attention to my credit. Currently, I have a few credit cards and I’m working on paying some off - because I want a freaking delta credit card I love delta and I want to sit IN A SKY LOUNGE! And I want POINTS lol!!!! But I bought a technology item and I’m working on paying that off (more than the minimum payment Ofc!!! And zero interest for 18 months - gotta love it.)
Hi Jo I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years now and I’m going off to college next year. Could you make a video about things you wish you knew about money before going to college or the best ways to save/ manage money during college? Thanks you’re the best and I’m so happy I have gotten learned so much from you!!
Love your advice always!!!!! You definitely add value to everyone’s life ❤️❤️ would love to hear the best ways to invest money rather than keeping it in savings account etc.
Love this! And would love to see some deeper dives into investing and passive income (general tips would be great cause I'm watching from Canada where our banks/economy work slightly differently). In case you're curious, The Financial Diet is another great resource for money info. Thanks, can't wait to see more!
Sending everyone good vibes during this tough time! Here are tips I've actually used to get my finances in order! What other videos related to money do you want to see? Investing 101 is coming! - hugs from your virtual big sis 💜
can you put a subscribe feature on your website so I get the new articles in my inbox please??
Hi Jo,
I would like to see videos on the process of making passive income. :) thanks and i hope you and your family are well!

I'm French and it's crazy to me that Americans live on credit. Like I really have difficulties grasping this whole concept
iwilitu I’m Armenian from France and that’s exactly what I was thinking, the thought of having to live on a credit is mind boggling to me especially when I see people not with one but with two or three credit cards, I’m like wait..what?Thats the difference between American and European way of living I guess

Yes exactly! That would be so helpful! A 25 (almost) fresh out of uni lady here✌
Yassss! I know Jo said in another video that she paid off her loans and I want the details.
I might be able to help yall with that as well
I paid of $17,000 of student loans in 7 months with a very low income a few months after leaving college, had a $22,000 in a portfolio i saved in less than 2 years(half of which was in a roth ira) and I am a licensed tax professional that has legally paid nothing in income taxes since i left college

the fact I have a short attention span, get bored easily, and need very simplistic explanations….. this video was perfect for me!
Im 18, and I beg teachers and parents to help me become more financially literate and no one seems to have answers. This video helped sooo much and I hope you continue spreading this knowledge.

Well, some have to pay for college and tuition fees are like a couple thousands dollars each year, sometimes tens of thousands, hence why
debt is a way of life for many, even after student loans are no longer a factor, credit cards maxed out, car loans to the sky, large mortgages etc..
Americans have more work experience and move up in positions because many start working at 16, in high school to pay for college. Americans learn many trades from experienced workers and educational programs for trades thus why many prefer to employ Americans. One video that I’d love to see is about not making the same financial mistakes the ones before you have made. Or maybe “How to build up your credit history if you are a young teenager” (18+). You’d be surprised how many teens don’t know about the financial world because not all of our parents introduce us to it. This video was so good and I loved it; I decibel this came from where you came from with money and I’ve had to learn a lot of these things on my own and it was so nice to have it laid out like that. Thanks, Jo!
