They are the best shoe I ever skated so far. Somehow the kick flips where totally off so I had to totally readjust how I flic them. But otherwise. Most comfortable shoe while super sturdy. I am skating them now for 2 weeks with fp insoles. What I do not like is that they only come with one pair of laces. I have the green ones. And... well... if that one rips apart you can not get a second pair from somewhere... in green. The laces have their own structure also .. so even if you would find a pair of green ones... they would be totally different. But I build lace guards out of trick tape anyhow for all my skate shoes. Somehow they always rip on the top hole after an hour otherwise.
But what if 2 completely different shoes get the same rating but there both good at one thing and bad for another. And then people will think they are basically the same shoe. Srry if it didn’t make sense

As a former Vans employee I can confirm that they only send out one or two sizes for new shoes. They used to send us 13s and 3.5s if we are going to be getting kids sizes. It was super lame

It used to have a kinda bulky shitty looks and feel...now I'm in my early 30's and DC shoes are the best shoes I've skated... Try out the lemos shoe or Manolo kalis shoe. Great grip board feel and wear when doing olies or kickflip treflips... but as I did about 6 herlflips the material was gone but there was a big hole in my sock.. all in all a good shoe but bad material at some places. Also a little pricy

I don't skate myself but do a ton of walking around and can eat through the regular Vans 'diamond' shape undersole in a couple months. The first Vans I bought that lasted years were the Trujillo advanced prototype, I was impressed with those shoes but apparently they're not made anymore? I then bought these shoes in the video and holy hell they not only look great but there's hardly any wear on them for the amount of walking I do.
@@christianflores lol, yeah, prices in Canada are brutal. For clothes and stuff, whatever the US price is usually costs us an extra 30-40 bucks up here and prices shown in stores here don't include the tax. My shoes were like 120, after taxes though it came up to like 140-ish.
If anyone buys these I highly recommend you try on/get a half size down due do to the shoe being 80% mesh the mesh is supposed to stretch around your foot not be all loose.
I got the blues and fucking love em! Got me some DKL grip tape (the non abrasive stuff) and my shoes look as tight as when I bought em 2 weeks ago. Been skating everyday 🤙
@@christianflores shit, 30 is super hard to work with, with 30 you should still be able to mess a little more tho, or balance between a little bit of warping and a little bit of frame drops.
I've had 3 pairs. Regular and GT. Gets ollie hole in 1-2 days. Flick area will never last a month, and they are thin with very little protection. To give them a positive word, they are very comfy, especially if you have narrow feet.
