Strauss, Don Juan, op. 20, oboe solo, Albrecht Mayer Recorded 13th of June, 2009 Oboe solo: Albrecht Mayer Conductor: Daniel Barenboim Berliner Philharmoniker
Auch wenn ich weiß, daß Frauen das genauso gut können, sage ich als Mann, daß dieser kleine Ausschnitt zeigt, wie auch Weichheit und Sensibilität zur Männlichkeit gehören.
That night, first flutist Emmanuel Pahud was soloist in Elliott Carters Flute Concerto, so he was not at flute desk in the Orchestra, and Hasel took over. So far from the records by Berliner Philharmoniker.
Karl-Heinz Steffens, 1. clarinet Stefan Schweigert, 1. bassoon Michael Hasel Flute Ludwig Quandt, Cello Guy Braunstein 1. Violin ... as far as I can depict them at first glance

This is a beautiful oboe solo, but I've always found Mayer's vibrato to be too fast for my taste.
Le minime sono quasi tutte troppo corte e poi il secondo re basso è suonato troppo forte.
