Just a suggestion… had a brand new 2004 XR250R and the easiest way to start it was to slowly kick the engine over until it was at TDC on the compression stroke and then give it a good kick while standing. Good luck! Usually started on the 2nd or third kick that way.
I like the five gallon bucket trick for changing that tire, im going to try that next time
