Share the Stoke
США
Добавлен 5 июн 2009
Hey! My name is Andrew, and I want to share some stoke with anyone willing to watch. Any chance I get, I'm enjoying the great outdoors. Whether its dirt bikes, skiing, skateboarding, hunting, tinkering in the garage, or just about anything I find cool, I believe sharing that with other people is one of the best things we can do for ourselves and the world around us. Doesn't matter how fast you are, how nice your tools are, or what brand pants you can afford. We all can share the joy that comes from landing your first kick flip, jumping that first double, getting sketchy and saving it, finally solving a mechanical mystery, or just hanging with the homies. If you're interested in that check out our videos and consider subscribing! Much more content is on the way. Email me if you have a cool idea you want help with!

The non gummy version of ve33 works better for me. I also run the vx40f in the front but not sure how I feel about it
@@davidbeauvais1364 I agree! I just have both of those and need to use them up. My favorite front for the PNW is the Bridgestone x31. Haven’t found a favorite rear yet! Thanks for watching.
@ so far the most predictable for me has been pirelli scorpion and m59. Vx40f is good through rocks and sidehilling but taking fast ruts and berms I don’t trust it
Fender tape to do lists. Genius! My 2 kids and I all race. This’ll help immensely.
@@MD72501 yes! Glad you got something out of it. It’s rad bc you can walk away from the bike for a week and pick up right where you left off without confusion. Thanks for watching!
I'd recommend a Two Stroke Performance ERM with one of their tunes for your bike. You can use the ERM to lean it out if its still running rich assuming everything else is set correctly.
@@mikebarger3563 word! Thanks dude. I’ve been saving up for one of them. I’m hoping to do a refresh on the 300 xc here soon and that’s definitely on the list. Thanks for watching.
Stop on step 9. Don't say "hey can you give me a deal off on parts?" of course they can, all of their stuff is marked up 40% anyway. Tell them "for you to sell me the new bike I will need you to include a set of mouses and a rear disc guard thrown into the purchase." Come up with about $400 to $500 worth of parts that you want them to include in the deal. I've purchased several new bikes and I've never had the dealership say no. And if they did, I make sure to give them the feeling I will move to the next dealer. Also, keep in mind KTM has a set price on bikes, just like Apple does on their phones. There might be $200 difference from dealer to dealer but they can't discount the bike a whole lot. That's why you have the parts included as part of the entire purchase price. Don't try to come up with $600 or more, they won't budge...it's about $500 or less. Also, dealers will play a game where they give you a great price on the bike but when they are writing up the deal the freight and assembly charge is much higher than other dealers, so make sure you get the "out the door" price before you compare one dealer to another.
@@devodar2579 good word! Thanks for watching
Horrible to See someone works on This bikes Without using a Torque wrench 🫠
@@Speedy_exc300 I’m sorry your world view doesn’t allow for people to do what they want with their own property. In my world, I only torque things that matter like triple clamps, head bolts, chassis components, etc. Either way, thanks for watching. I had a lot of fun working on this bike.

Just a suggestion… had a brand new 2004 XR250R and the easiest way to start it was to slowly kick the engine over until it was at TDC on the compression stroke and then give it a good kick while standing. Good luck! Usually started on the 2nd or third kick that way.

Had 2 of them, one a 2000 and the other a 97 with the 440 kit, al baker pumper carb, big gun full system, hydraulic clutch. Bike turned out awesome, those graphics against the black really set it off. Nice job on the video edit as well. After watching this I think I'll pick up a set of KTM perch clamps and try removing the orange anodizing also. Did that KTM etching stay after they were completely stripped like when you showed them at the 18:22 mark?
@@vonrunner thanks for the love brotha! Appreciate it. And that KTM etching stayed even after sitting in the acid bath. I thought it looked super cool so I was glad it remained. Must be laser engraved or something. Same thing happened with the tusk logo on the rear disk guard. Any high dollar drain cleaner should strip the anodizing right off for you, but definitely handle it with gloves. Good luck!
@@JustSharetheStoke Yeah I didn't expect the KTM logo to still be there when you pulled it out, definitely looks cool. Going to give it a go and maybe give them a slight polish after stripping the anodizing. Do those Fasst Co rear brake return springs work well? The OEM spring isn't strong enough in my opinion and doesn't give much feedback through the boot for me.
@@vonrunner in my opinion the fasst co rear brake spring is a must! It’s relatively cheap and dramatically improves your rear brake feel. We did it on my 300 xc and her xc-w. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Especially if you ride gnar you’ll appreciate the brake feel on those brutal steep downhills.
