People keep in mind Dr.Lori has many NEW viewers, I see them ask in the live chat, how do I get an estimate, how do I get this and that?? Then a new person comes in and they are asking also. So yah she has to repeat herself on what she offers. She is not here just to do what we want, she is also drumming up business. Now that is a great business woman!! But some people just like to complain!! Get a life, I say, or start a business and see how hard it is to get clients!! Keep up the great work Dr.Lori, we appreciate it!! I went to a shop in "small town" America (midwest) today looking for Cast Iron. I mentioned you and the owner said oh, yes I've been hearing her name a lot lately. Love it.
Two things. 1. Trolls enjoy taking up time to address them. Don't fuel their escapades. 2. I finally got signed up for your news letters ect. Happy. I really enjoy your expertise. Thank you.
As I learn about serigraphs today, my mind travels to the past, and I now understand what that screened frame and stack of extra pieces was all about... 😂😂👍. (my Mom... in the mid 70's) as I recall, the process is rather challenging.😱😄😁
I also have a variety of other ones that are in frames I got them from my aunt who's 86 and her father used to travel to Japan and other places back in the day
I love sterling silver, and the bracelet is beautiful. Thank you Dr. Lori for another great video as always, and for sharing your knowledge and expertise.😉
I wish you, Dr Lori, had been my Art History professor. I would surely have learned a thing or two. Thanks for sharing your amazing and vast education, knowledge and experience.
Mr Lay was my American history teacher. I think she you remind me Lori of a substitute teacher I had never knew she does talk curtly or Professors do always !!!!??
But you got to listen ,your like me though. I can talk and listen but we talk alot tooo much sometime, we all do. ! You must be important for them to say anything so no sweat off your back .!!! Right idc
dr. Lori, thank you very much I always watch his videos, I write to you from Italia-Brescia. I am a mother of two babies, you help me a lot, thanks to you I have started to buy and sell on the internet. Here we cannot leave almost a year, I do not wait for the pandemic to end to go to art markets throughout Italy. I will always carry my magnifying glass with me, thank you❤🙏
Wow Dr Lori! I learned something new today from you about the Silver settings/prongs... and dating NA jewelry. Thank you. Having collected, bought and sold, Native American jewelry for over 30 yrs, I feel fairly confident in my info. However, I would love to walk around in your shadow for awhile. Just to catch some of the knowledge that falls off your shoulders.😂😂
I did a Google search for the serigraph as you were teaching us about it. I found it being sold with another, also Olah, on eBay. They were asking $39.99 for the pair. I offered $36 and then bought them. I'm hoping there is not as much tanning (or any). They are framed. As a reseller, I'm hoping to flip the pair for at least $150 (maybe more if no damage.) THANK YOU! - Amy
I just remembered Rockaway Playland used to give out carnival glass in the late 50's early 60's when I was little!! Yep :) long ago! Can't forget that shine!!
I appreciate the information about turquoise and silver jewelry. Because I have spent many years in Arizona and New Mexico, I have accumulated many pieces. However, I still have difficulty assessing what makes a piece good versus not so good.
Ask those question during my next live video or you can schedule a video call with me, show me your pieces, and I can teach you what to look for using your own pieces.
I see alot of vintage bowls and creamers but the sugar bowl s always seem to be missing the lids. Did the sugar bowls always have lids? Thank you so much. I love to watch you and learn so much from you. Have a Blessed Day! Thank you.
Just discovered you last week.Thank yo so much for all your expertise and information. I have a ton of jewelry and antiques l was going to liquidate.....not now!!! I am going to start my business. Thz k you Dr. Lori
Nice pieces still show up at many estate sales and auctions; as us older collectors shed....😂😂. Be wary of immitations. As the Native American Crafters used hand made processes and their Artistic creations will display this individuality. Always a good idea to ask Dr Lori 1st.😁
I am learning so very much 😀 I’ve been buying antiques for my home for over 30 years I’ve got a lot of goods and some I certainly need looked at such as my Carnival punch bowl with their cups a beautiful Art Deco necklace with the screw back earrings clear stones with that pretty light blue a big Turquoise necklace Nippon pieces it goes on 🥰🤪 Royal Dalton pieces
Hey Dr Lori, just saying.... if trolls are NOT coming at you .... that would indicate that you are irrelevant ...... start worrying once they stop. I have learned much from your vids, and appreciate your efforts. My recommendation would be not to spend more than 10 secs addressing trolls, do you and let them cry and complain, don't give them more attention than they deserve.
I’ve gotten some absolutely beautiful pieces of Zuni for a song because sellers didn’t know what they had. I’m a collector not a reseller with your loop and a few hours of makers mark matching it’s possible to identify who created them.😍 Bucket list a video call to Dr. Lori of my collection cause figuring out the actual value is literally as skewed as our viewer guesses. Actual South West national park tourism retail prices are 3 fold what’s on eBay and need rescue 😅😂
Hi Dr. Lori, the turquoise piece is amazing!!!! Also the info on the carnival glass was helpful. I am going to your web page now to sign up. Thank you.
Hi, Dr Lori, I love your videos! The first time time I saw you in RUclips was with gallery 66. I bought a sterling silver paul revere style bowl tiffany &co last year for 10 bucks it weighs 29 troy ounces but it was given a to a salesman person of the year in 1986 I guess that decreases the value. I became a treasure hunter thanks to your videos! That's Dr Lori. Sorry English is my second language .
Thank you Dr. Lori V, ii just got your loop and diamond tester, I tell everybody about you, love you friend and fan near fort Tejhon, my kid dogs and cat too!💜🐕🦺🐝🌻🥑💙😇🐈🐞🌲💛🐾🌼🐝
Thanks for sharing your wonderful education on the speciality areas that you bring to UT/Am writing from Australia and have been fascinated by the beautiful Indigenous jewellery from USA/Although I can research the general history of this particular area of jewellery making, I would love to know if there is a spiritual/ceremonial aspect to these pieces, consideration of it's museum quality or importantly if there is Indigenous 'places of keeping' for these beautiful pieces/Have seen many 'goodwill' pieces and feel very sad that the true value of Indigenous 'craft makings' doesn't seem to be understood and recognised!
How do I find your loop? I only saw your coffee mugs. And also how can I get a very large, old book appraised? I’m not sure how to get on your live shows. Oh, and you said go to the menu button for the sale of your loop, but my iPhone 8 doesn’t have a menu button. 😢 I love watching your videos, I have learned so much from you! Thanks Christina
Dr. Lori...I came across some 1950s baseball picture pack pictures and 2 scorecards unscored from 1953 and 1954...from some research ..I cannot figure out if there is 18 or 24 pictures in the 1953 All-Star pack...And how would you protect and send them for grading?
