You want to hear Floor sing 10 different genres? Your talking about the Beste Zangers show.. It a Tv show from the Netherlands.. Floor went on that show in 2019, because even though Floor is from the Netherlands, Metal is not popular in the Netherlands like in Finland, Sweden or Germany.. so Floor was basically unknown in the Netherlands.. Hell, the other six singers invited on that season didn't know much about Floor.. So in the Beste Zangers they invite seven Dutch singing artists from many different singing backgrounds, Opera, Folk, Latin, Pop and have them perform every week.. Basically every week one singer is chosen to be "on the couch". That week the show is about them.. The other 6 singers find out about the life of that artist and pick a song that is special, for career reasons or personal reasons, and perform the chosen song for that singer that is "on the couch" that show. Floor sings Pop, opera, latin.. in German, Dutch, Spanish and English..

Beste Zangers 2019 is what you need!
Beste Zangers (unsurprisingly translated as Best Singers) is a tv show from the Netherlands where they take some dutch singers from different backgrounds and at different moments in their careers, and in each episode one of them is on the spotlight, and all other pick songs to celebrate that person. Sometimes it is a version of one of that person's songs, or a music from their childhood or something that fits into their personality, anyway, it often makes the highlighted person emotional.
In that tv show you'll find Floor singing opera, pop, hard rock, latin music and so on. Besides, she has songs in 4 different languages (English, Dutch, German and Spanish).
Oh, and by the way, although it may sound unlikely, Floor was actually not much known in her own country as symphonic metal isn't really popular there. For that reason, many of the singers on the show have never heard her singing before, and that makes it even nicer to see, and watching their reactions discovering how good she is.
A good idea is to watch her presentations in the same order as the tv show, so the first one would be Vilja Lied (pronounced kinda like villya leed), which she picked to sing for Henk Port, cause it was a song his mom used to sing for him on his childhood. As it is the opening song of the show, you can see the first impact Floor caused on the other guests and it's awesome.
I strongly recommend you to watch not only the song but the parts of the show introducing Henk Port as the highlighted guest of the day, and also talking a bit about Floor.

You want to hear Floor do ten different genres? That's actually possible. As long as you don't mind hearing them in eight different languages. Yes, I think the Nightwish Army could come up with a list for that. Off the top of my head, you've already heard her do several different metal styles with Nightwish. She can oblige you with some really harsh, growly metal in ReVamp, or a combination of the two styles in After Forever. She can give you some hard, old-school rock with Northward. Or, how would you like a Puccini opera in Italian? Or the old 13th Century prayer, Ave Maria, in a mix of Latin and English? Or a traditional religious Christmas song in Finnish? Or how about a Caribbean salsa done with a metal flare.... sung in Spanish? Or an 18th Century classical operetta sung in German? A Dutch folk song sung in Dutch perhaps? Maybe a sad, tear-jerker country song translated from Dutch to English that left not a dry eye in the house? A cover of Lady Gaga's Shallow? The Disney song you mentioned in the video? A cover of Heart's Alone? Adagio? The theme from the Tom Cruise movie Oblivion? And a drop-dead incredible Phantom of the Opera as a duet with the original Phantom from the Dutch version of the musical. Yeah, we can provide links for all that! Just ask which one you want first... ask and ye shall be given! ;)

As other people have said, the Beste Zangers show will blow you away. Watch the clips in order and you will see how the Dutch public finally discover Floor, and fall in love with her. she went from practically unknown to dominating their charts in a few short weeks.

If you are going to do Frozen by Floor, make sure you take the remastered one she published a month after the first one (she/her husband are getting better and better in the mixing). Nightwish rendition of "The Phantom of the Opera" End of an Era concert/DVD in 2005. Tarja's last concert with Nightwish. Her operatic vocal style fits the song just great. Not to mention Marko, the bassist/vocalist as The Phantom. He has blown away a few female opera singer reactors with his vocals, and a few vocal coaches too.
While you are at it, why not make everyone happy and do a double reaction. In addition to the Nightwish version also react to the Floor and Henk version for comparison, both in one reaction video. How about that?

Yes, this is mandatory for 3 reasons:
First of all :you can only find out how good a singer Marko is by watching Phantom of the Opera. You mentioned he's good, but actually he is far beyond good!
Second: to get to know this band you must checkout their history. Floor is the third singer, but to see where they came from you must see Tarja.
Third: this is Tarja's last song she ever sang before she got fired from the band. You can not watch "the Poem and the Pendulum" before you know all about Tarja

Hi Missy MacQuarrie, thank you for this reaction to this very beautiful and emotional song. This is one of my favorite songs of Nightwish. I'm always impressed of the athmosphere they can create between them and the audience. Floor has natural charisma on the stage among her amazing voise control. If I remember right she has told that she was very sick having fever the day before that concert loosing her voice totally. And still she could go through the concert. She has something in her personality which touches us, something more than just her singing skills. It's her personal appearance, the way she meets people, interaction with the audience and the way she feels the songs when she sings. That's what we like about her, don't you think.
Marko is playing a custom Warwick Infinity bass with a Framus Panthera 6 string guitar attached as a "double neck". (Warwick own Framus).
It will cost you about $15,000 US to have one made, so I'd start saving up right now...

Love this song... In one of the last videos Floor posted, she said that the song she thinks more difficult is Ever Dream, because is so high for the entire song... Maybe you could take a look at Wacken 2013 performance... For styles, go fot best zengers show, she sings like 8 songs in 4 languages and different genres including salsa, aria, etc...

This is a very emotional and personal song for Tuomas. The small child's voice represents Tuomas speaking. When asked what this song was about "Tuomas has said about this song, that it's about if he were to die tomorrow, what would he want to say to everyone that he loves, and that love him..." Notice the small boy on the screen reaching out to the flying swans on the screen. The swan is the guide to the afterlife in Finnish mythology. He is reaching out to implore them to take him with to the other side. A beautiful song filled with sadness from an unfulfilled destiny.

Marko's Infinity/Panthera double-neck was custom made for him by Warwick/Framus. He brings it out whenever he needs to play a six-string part, and when he needs to switch between guitar and bass mid-song. I love this performance of this song so much. In fact, I like it more than some of the Nightwish songs that have way more RUclips reactions. The ending high part gives me chills every time. Floor absolutely outdid herself (and that's saying something).

I have heard Floor comment about how ill she was on the day this show was filmed so what she just did with those beautiful straight tones is even more mind-boggling. One of my favourite Nightwish songs and I love this newer arrangement. Marco's double neck guitar/bass is Warwick/Framus (It's the same German manufacturer, but they use Warwick brand for their basses, and Framus for their guitars). The guitar part is quite interesting: In addition to the usual magnetic pickups, it has a piezo pickup - that's why the clean sound on it is so rich and resembles the sound of an acoustic guitar.
You know I have looked and looked for a piezo bridge pick-up and cannot see one even in the backstage gear tour:

But whilst the bass is DI'd of course, I understand both Emppu and Marko use Kemper profiling amps, so I wonder if his acoustic sound isn't actually a Kemper profile.

It's TonePros Tune-o-matic Ghost Piezo bridge. In fact, modern piezo bridges are difficult to distinguish from standard ones - they look almost the same, you can only barely see the wiring under it. But even without specs, you can clearly hear that this is a piezo bridge: Guitar effects still can't emulate the sound of a piezo so well.

I know the modelling/profiling amps can do most things now but obviously not yet to emulate a regular PU signal into an acoustic one.
It's all fascinating to me, its been about 57 years now since I made amps from scrap box parts and scrounged KT88's, 66's, 6L6M, EL34/84's and 807's. . . . . . . . . . . . I wanted to get up to 813's and now someone has done it brilliantly.

It's been mentioned already, Warwick/Framus Infinity/Panthera bass/6 string Missy, Marko is a Warwick endorser and these double necks are custom shop order, start thinking like some $12,000 upwards. . . . . . . . .
@Musta Laatta below has excellently explained the meaning of this song as Tuomas epitaph/obituary self-written. The lyrics then make complete sense.
May I add this, Tuomas says he's a man with a boy's heart, so wherever a boy appears in a Nightwish song it is Tuomas speaking of himself, poet (of course !), writer and dreamer are all the aliases he uses for himself.
Also you see the boy (Tuomas) appealing to the swans in the backdrop, in Finnish culture it is the swans that carry you to the afterlife, there is also The Swan Of Tuonela by Sibelius.

For songs Annette sings I recommend the official music videos, and for Tarja either end of an era concert or concerts with better sound quality. Tarja concerts are older and the quality varies so finding the best may be tricky. Anyway for Tarja I suggest Phantom of the opera (end of an era dvd) or 10th man down. But if the recording is good, there's really no bad option for a song. For Annette I suggest Amaranth music video and then go from there based on further suggestions.

Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.

Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on RUclips recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
The next performance on NGT was her cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. Angelina’s acapella performance is astounding especially for a girl who had just turned 8.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old.
On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London.
Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated.
Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on RUclips. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. On 11/6/20 her first single on Republic Records, Million Miles, was released. Her 2nd single, 7th Heaven is a jazzy, upbeat, inspirational song. Hopefully her first album on Republic Records will be released soon.
Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. She is on videos saying she wants to sing for the entire world and also that she wants to improve the quality of life for all the children on Earth. She has helped to raise millions of dollars for children’s charities and environmental causes.
Musicians who have worked with her have been quoted saying Angelina is among the most talented musicians they have worked with and she is the boss in the room when rehearsing. Remarkable for a girl of few words when not singing. For Angelina, it is all about the music and not her.
Personally, I find Angelina’s voice the most soulful and emotional voice of my lifetime. Angelina as a person, inspires me to be a better person and live longer to listen to her sing for as long as I can.
