- Come and join us for a tour of our Evernew RT1000 Caravan. And see what we think is a very comfortable way to travel full-time around Australia. The van is 23'3' and weighs in at 3000kg, we have 3 x 150w Solar Panels on the roof and a 2000w Enerdrive system. If you would like any more information, on the van or the gear we carry, please feel free to leave a comment below.
Cheers Paul & Wenda
Love your clothesline. I’m going to use that idea.
Haha go for it. We love it as we can't have a fixed one in place as it would cover the top of our door when the awning is closed
Lovely to meet you both in Longreach, your trip looked very interesting, flies are a bit thick, but a good fly net is my to go to.
Look forward to your next adventures ❤😊 Rosie.
Thank you Rosie, yes it was great to catch up. We will miss our Happy Hour with you tonight 😉
Cheers Paul & Wenda
Great setup. 👍
Thanks we've been happy with our choice 👌
Love the walkthrough of your van and also the layout. Really enjoying your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Graeme we appreciate the encouragement. We’ve been very happy with the van
Cheers Paul and Wenda
Do you plan on continuing full time travel ?
@@MaitlandRambers we have no plans to stop anytime soon. We originally gave it 12 months to see if we enjoyed it and love the lifestyle so we will continue as long as we can
Watched the video, forgot how lovely your van is, I enjoyed listening to you both xx
Great video
Thank Steve and thanks for watching. Cheers
I love the layout of your van
Thanks loulou we have been very happy with it 😁
I love the layout. We are looking at a very similar layout for our next upgrade. Also, the diesel heaters are fantastic.
The layout is perfect for our current lifestyle on the road. It is a big van but when it’s your home it’s worth it

Loved the walk through, such a beautiful van…. Just a few questions 1. Where did you obtain the under the sink water filters? 2. Did you install the diesel heater yourself? 3. Does the water heater have an anode? 4. Where did you buy the flip antenna pole bracket on the back bumper? 5. Does the generator operate straight from the box you keep it in, and how noisy is it on the van?
Thank you we have been very happy with our choice and thank you for your questions.
The water filter system came with the van but we have purchased replacement filters from www.clarencewaterfilters.com.au/ and know they supply the same type of system.
Evernew installed the diesel heater at the build
The water heater does not have an anode
The antenna bracket came with out antenna kit and we got it from www.telcoantennas.com.au/
We don't operate the generator from in the box as it will overheat as there is no exhaust outlet. It is reasonable quite for a generator and if it is positioned in the right spot we don't get too bothered by it.
Hopefully that has been helpful and please reach out if we can be any more help
Cheers Paul & Wenda
Thanks you two, great video. Very informative. I'm nearly there!
Cheers Kim
Thanks for watching 😉

We love your review. We are from South Africa and lived in Oz for a year . Would love to travel around Oz in a caravan or campervan. We also have a Utube channel. Rose Douglas - Explore Africa.
Thanks Rose, we love the traveling lifestyle. We just subbed to you channel, it looks very interesting! And they say Australia has dangerous animals lol.
Cheers
Great video. Thanks for sharing. You have a really nice setup. We are off on our lap next year. Keep safe and keep enjoying yourselves.
Thanks Peter, we have been happy with it. All the best for your travels next year. There is a lot of excitement in the anticipation!
Keep an eye out we may cross paths
Cheers
That is one fantastic van and really well set up for your travels thanks for sharing it with us
Thanks Ed 😉 we love it!
Hi! Love your van set up, the layout is really wonderful. Thank you for the tour and I'm enjoying your videos 🙂
Thank you 🌹 we appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoyed it

Great walkthrough guys and love the layout of your Van, particularly the Club Lounge and plenty of windows to enjoy your views. A Question - We are picking up a new Van (JB Gator X) in June from Melbourne which has the same 200AH Enerdrive system and the Domestic 224L Fridge. Did you find the 200AH sufficient for a few days off grid? We are thinking if we need more power we might opt for the ECO Flow 1600 or 2400 / rather than an expensive Power & Solar upgrade - cheers, Ross
Thanks Ross, we love the layout it has done well for us. The back window has been great.
We have found the 200AH battery is enough but recharging it has been the issue. If it is cloudy it won’t fully recharge. We have 3 x 150w solar panels on the roof. So maybe one more would be good?
We have just started using the EcoFlow 1600 as a back up and that works well. It will recharge the van battery to make up the gap if we couldn’t fully charge it during the day. We find the EcoFlow battery is handy and a great alternative to an upgrade. And you can use it in places where generators are not allowed
Cheers Paul and Wenda
@@beyondthegreyoz Thanks for that - Yes I will certainly look into the EcoFlow as an option for recharging / and running other 240 appliances - cheers & see you on the road 😀
That's amazing. How much would that cost, if I may ask?
Thank you, 3 years ago it cost just over $110k
Great video. What a beautiful van you have. May I ask if you would recommend Evernew? We’re considering them now.
Thank you 😊 we are really happy with our home on wheels. Evernew have been great to deal with and the workmanship has been great. We did have some issues at the start with things not working properly, a couple things going wrong, nothing major just components, and they fixed each one no questions asked. We have found them to be great to deal with, their after sales service is second to none and happily recommend Evernew. The vans are built tough, we have taken ours up to Cape York, Arnhem Land and along the Oodnadatta track without ant concern. We do have the RT model which is built for tough conditions
Cheers Paul and Wenda
Thank you so very much.
Can you please tell me. All the fusion grips and goodies. Where do you get them from? Can you give me more details on them so I can see if we could possibly find them in South Africa. Many thanx
We use them in the shower for soap and shampoo etc,we use one as a toilet roll holder, we use a couple of hooks to hang our towels and one to hang my guitar. We got them from Bunnings Hardware (you could probably find them online?)
New to your channel. With a large van and all that gear, assuming you have done some sort of GVM upgrade to stay legal?
Definitely! We had the GVM upgrade from 3350 to 3850 and the BTC from 3500 to 4000. Our van is 3000 and rated 4000. When we did our weights the tow ball was 370 and van 3525 (without water) so we are pretty heavy
Cheers
Wow guys!!! We're full time travellers too (I think we camped beside you once in Melbourne) and I envy you the space, but man, that van must be heavy!!!
Haha yes it is, but fortunately that hasn’t stopped us getting to the places we want to see 😉
It’s very possible we were neighbours in Melbourne. We’ve stayed at Braybrook a few times.
Safe travels guys! Cheers
Hi , we enjoy your videos. Perhaps some extra information on fuel consumption, on differing road conditions would be helpful. We have a 22.6 JB van, 2019 GXL 200 series and would travel similarly to you, not rip tear and bust as seems to be the way of some. We have not started to travel as yet, hence asking for information. Overall well presented and informative videos, please keep them up. Thank you.
Thank you Sue, we appreciate your feedback. We are planning to do a rig rundown of the Car soon and will include that type of information. But I can say we use just on 20lt/100km , in good flat conditions, a head wind will add 2lts Oodnadatta track was 24lts/100km (lower tyre pressure). But our van tow weight is 3700kg. So very heavy
Hope that was helpful? Thanks for watching
Cheers Paul and Wenda
@@beyondthegreyoz Thank you for that.
What modifications have you done to your tow vehicle to to the weight?
@@thommostravels9610 we used the Lovells Upgrade which raised the GVM to 3850 and the BTC to 4000. It also lifted the chassis 2”
Did you find the gvm upgrade to 3850 to be enough..
Do you have any thing to spair or are you right on the limit
So far the 3850 has been enough. Our weights fluctuate quite a bit depending on our stage of a trip. For example when we did the Cape we were fully loaded with fuel, food and water and on the way back we were much lighter. The tow ball weight doesn’t fluctuate much (around 360) we also don’t have roof rack or second spare tyre
Thanks, good video, I’ve watched a few of yours and they are getting slicker as you do more, well done! We have an RT1000 too so was great to see how you set yours up as we are only early in our caravanning days. How do you go with your hitch? I sometimes have trouble getting it to disconnect from the ball any advice appreciated.
Thanks Phil, we don't generally have much of an issue with the tow ball release, but it could be what they call the "screw" in your wheels. When you reverse with a big van, twin axle, on any sort of angle you'll notice the wheels can be at different angles and this makes the drawbar pull to one side. And when it does release the van will swing to one side. To avoid this, once we have the van is in position, we will roll back and forth a few times to take the screw out of the wheels. We're hoping to do a video soon of things we have learnt about reversing, setting up and hooking up.
Cheers Paul & Wenda
@@beyondthegreyoz Appreciate your response, looking forward to the video regarding internet, Nighthawk/Celfi Go/antenna etc cheers
Hi there , what’s your tare and max weight of your van . Thanks in advance .
