- On "My Car Story" we're in Geneva IL at The Geneva Concours d’Elegance on 8-23-15.
We're looking at a 1928 Willys Overland Whippet Cabriolet Convertible Model 96.
The car's Owner is Al Hiller. Al and his son Greg share details on the car Al’s had since 2007. When I asked, “How long did it take to complete the restoration?” Greg said, “Well my Dad was working on it yesterday.”
ENJOY! Авто/Мото
GREETING, from Venezuela, A very IRRESISTIBLE ! and UNIQUE ! CONVERTIBLE Automobile. I like the back seat, kids will love It, Hey. me too, HA, HA, .That is a Magnificent Restoration. Mr. Lou, Super Thank you for taking the time to show us a great Automobile.
Hi Alejandro, Happy to read you enjoy this rare ride :-) My pleasure sharing with you, and you're welcome, Lou
The owners of this beautiful car have confused MPG with MPH. Whippet roadsters were advertised as capable of 55 mph. Cannon Ball Baker drove a Whippet (in late 1926) Los Angeles to New York (3550 mi) in 14 days averaging 43.28 mpg. I did enjoy the video.
Hmmm, thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
That is the first thing I looked up. You are correct.
Fantastic !

if you hit a pothole won't the wheel break. (wooden wheels)
