I like what you did on the black dually with the 37's. But that's about all I would even consider. I'm more of an OEM guy. These look good but I'd never, personally, have a lifted truck I don't think. The mud terrains are loud on the highway I bet. Like I've mentioned, I put the BFG HD Terrain on mine. They're noisy but I like them a lot. Cool truck though, for sure.
I think a leveling kit with 37’s look great, but the 5” lift with them just makes the tires small. Needs 40’s at that point to make it look proportionate I believe.
Pretty sweet ride! This is definitely at the upper end of lift and tires as far as mechanical changes that I would ever do. The upfit seems expensive, but I feel like you actually get quite a bit of hard parts for your money.👍
Dream truck! Needs a Laramie level 1 and adaptive cruise though. $110k geesh The cummins needs to get a transmission with a couple more gears behind it also
Looks like they still haven’t changed the leaf pack setup on the 3500s. I have a short bed 3500 and it is hardly drivable without a load. I even upgraded to all Thuren parts and progressive leaf packs. They really need to rethink the setup. 😕
So in TX the 110k price plus 6.25% state tax $6,800 is almost $117k. I like the way it looks, but very few will pay $117k for it. This truck costs almost $40k more than my 2024 Silverado 3500 LT Duramax crew cab. Would you rather have a 2024 Duramax 3500 LT Crew cab AND $40k cash or the Dodge?
In PA they are dropping prices for all these 100k Rams by 10% off MSRP... they simply aren't selling units fast. I still wouldn't buy one right now though.
Your LT is a lower trim level than this Laramie, so your price comparison is way off when you exclude the Rocky Ridge upgrades. An LTZ 3500 is $5k less than a Laramie 3500 that comes with a vastly superior engine (and high output model standard) and a far more reliable transmission (6 spd Aisin). So to answer your question, I'd rather take a Ram Laramie over a Silverado LTZ for 5 grand any day of the week.
@@Slythey the LT is a lower trim level but you can option it. I have the new Chevy interior, 13 inch display, full cameras views to include bed and hitch views, upgraded duramax engine, multi-flex tailgate, spray in bed liner, power folding mirrors, center console, Z71 package, etc… $73k. A Laramie Ram runs $96k. No way it’s worth $20k more.
@@jayb7675 a laramie 3500 starts at 79k. The LTZ 3500 starts at 74k. They both option similarly. You're making an irrelevant comparison. You can do the same thing with a Bighorn vs an LT and option them out to 73k. Your whole point here was GREATLY exaggerated to make it somehow seem like your truck was a better deal when in reality they're pretty much the same with some relatively minor differences
It has too much squat but otherwise looks ok. My personal preference is that it's a bit too lifted (by 2-3") for something I'd want to tow with. Plus that ride quality at a 5" lift, regardless of what people tell you about the suspension upgrade quality, is worse. If it feels better than a stock vehicle it's purely because of the oversized tires, which a relevant size could have been used with a stock suspension for better results anyway.
Wow! No wonder dealers are sooo disliked. A lift that maybe cost $1800 to $2000 at most a couple of hours labor. And about $1200 in wheels and tires at the dealer cost. What a rip off to some young Nieve buyer who the dealer pulls a Jessy James on them. “Raise your hands, give me all your money”!!
lift kits for 5th gens at that size are more like 5 to 7 grand installed. tires and rims at that size closer to 2 to 3 grand..looking more like 10 large.. and yeah dealers are terrible. but if they do the work warranty stays intact. or void the warranty on powertrain and save money
@@LL-rz5dtMost quality lift kits will come with their own multi year power train warranty for this reason. My Fabtech lift on my Ram 2500 came with a 5 yr/60k mile warranty.

you'll have to cut some stuff with 40s

I still think a delete is the first mod to do.

Great information on this truck!!
Very nice truck. I wonder how does it look like with a 5th wheel? Good video. 🤙🏼

Tired of black wheels on trucks, but nice rig.
