Damn what a song. Great music. I wished I had had that to listen to back in the 60's & 70's when I was hauling fats or hell even up to the day I finally retired in 07. Being an old fucker I didn't have a nice long hood in those days, I just set up over that left front tire & did some serious truckin.
Again I say to all cattle haulers And truckers alike." You are a Legend in your time and the years to come. You devote blood Sweat n tears to keep it all in place and the world around you. So I say thank you and God bless ,one day I hope to Do the same...last of the True Cowboys" .....
The old blue cab over. Pete T D SAWYER that was of the baddest cow trucks running back in the day old Cabbage Cutter was one of a kind. Shoestring Scatter Brain.Damn we had fun. Miss them good times sure do miss old Cutter.
My dad was a old time trucker I remember his big red Pete cruising down the highway at 100 one foot out the window radio cranked up trying to get some miles before the sunrise I was just a little kid I’ll remember it forever and it’s all I ever wanted to do since I could remember I spent my whole time as a child barely seeing over the dash watching the exits signs under the moonlight one day I’ll get there and I wish I can be half the trucker my dad was he was the best there was and I hope to carry that on
If you wanna do that get an older truck or run livestock it won't happen this day in age otherwise. Take it from me a company reefer driver that urges to be an outlaw. Only things I can be an outlaw with is my old mustang gt and my old Harley Davidson. That's been done this day and age what so many times. If you can do more than me. I hope you can.
@ballavision1619 an outlaw could be an independent driver running under their own authority or a driver that don't follow the rules in any way you could think of. It can be a driver that got in trouble with the D.o.t as well. Its a very generic term this day an age. A company reefer I think you might mean a reefer company is a company that hauls its freight in refrigerated trailers or temperature controlled trailers temperature controlled is just a fancier way of saying reefer trailer that's what i do for a small company. I hope this helps.
I miss driving these old trucks . My 1st fast truck was a 1979 international 4070 Eadle with a 400 Cummins and 13 speed double over . I thought I was cool with chrome 6in straights and aluminum buds on the front and chrome wheels on the back . 106 mph when I was 28 in 1983 . Just a crazy kid then . I drove for Big R once I got some sense . Now I drive for Bullfrog. By God's grace I survived . 42 years of trucking . I got 3 years to go and I can pass my job on to someone else who van appreciate a good job with ABF

Run fast and night, I miss the long haul and freedom of the road, local job driving a dump truck now, retireing in 2 years if my health doesn't get any better-- Keep it between the ditch's and GOD BLESS BLESS all the truckers out there !!!!
People would be shocked what truckers will run at night. My dad has told me that he knows old friends that will run anywhere from 90 to 100 mph on the interstate at night, the only ones on the interstate at night are the non company trucks that don’t have Governors on them.
Well there's a few reasons why we prefer running at night, less idiots out on the road, get to see some beautiful rigs lit up like a Christmas tree, and yes of course speeding. When I drive during the daylight I usually keep my rig right around 70, at night usually about 90-95 (I'm also one of the few that has no governor).
@@nightcrawler1 I just started a local job about 3 weeks ago, I miss it too. But still running alot at night and still in an ungoverned rig. Went from a 94 Pete 377 hauling dry van to a 97 Pete 359 hauling a tanker and an asphalt trailer. But when you have kids in the picture (I have a one year old), it makes the OTR life a bit hard.
I don’t miss the industry, the way it has devolved, due to the Government’s destroying the profits and fun. I do miss left-lane trucking in free-running trucks (the ones that didn’t have their balls taken out) with a big radio, and my fellow real drivers. We enjoyed so much back then when there was more freedom. We’d grill meat behind our trailers at truck stops and enjoy some beer together and talk about family, experiences on the road, etc., when we could. I’ve been off the road for ten plus years now, but still have quality relationships with drivers whom I’ve met on the road from all across the United States. Be safe drivers! Cheers 🥂!
Wish they had music like this when i was out there. Many times i would get the 8 track to the song the guy sings about east of omaha and walking into the truck stop and you knew everybody is watching you.lol good old smittys at pine bluffs was the old timers hangout, might not even be there now. Oh well. Run 42 trips one year Iowa to L.A. made my boss a bunch of money and I got a 8 ball of crank a week addiction, and a wore out truck.
Been there lived that. My first wife got out more than my old connex radio and would walk the dog. She thought i went to texas and pulled that pete in the driveway with the locals behind me. The divorce was the best investment i ever made. Godbless speed safely drivers. Goodnight all

About how many cows and calves would fit
26 or 28 in the belly and on top in the front 4 or 2 depends on the size 2 in the back maybe 4 or 1 bull
Hey buddy I have a question how many cows will fit in your cattle trucks
Depends on the cattle weight
chris thomas do u right the songs
18? On average would that be close I’m a produce hauler
18 to 20 in the belly and on top 2 threw 4 in the back and front
