Taho is a very well-respected dessert in the country. Almost everyone loves it here and I don't even know why. Perhaps it has that sweet yet authentic taste that other Filipino delicacies could ever wish to achieve. Anyways, it is nice to see foreigners enjoying the dish.

can i just say, among a lot of these travelers who come to these other countries especially poorer ones, i am very impressed and grateful how kind and generous you are? not to name a certain youtuber who's always trying to haggle and bargain, but i really am in awe and happy that you even go out of your way to let these ppl keep the extra change instead of getting back every penny you spent/making sure you pay as minimal as possible. you are the kind of traveler that others should aspire to be like.

Taho blew my mind as a kid visiting family there in the summer time. As an adult Toasted Siopao was my favorite thing in the morning at the neighborhood shop.
Recently, I was at my grandparents' house to help take care of my elderly grandparents while my aunt (their primary caregiver) was out of town. The _taho_ vendor passed by and I went and got some for all of us. I've loved taho since I was a kid and thought my grandparents would like some as well. I was surprised when my grandma told me she never had it before. She asked me if taho was some kind of fish or meat. I told her it was a dessert. They both seemed to really like it.
I remember this video because of the funny misunderstanding between you and manong taho. He actually meant P15 and P20, but because of his accent you thought he said P50, he tried to correct you but stumbled over his words and said "thirty pieces" and tried to correct himself again but you waved his mistakes and just got whatever he was offering and gave a generous tip too.
