What makes smart pistol "so good it can win games" is the same thing that makes it not fun and has no place in a FPS where skill at aiming wins or loses games. It is HORRIBLE for competitive play and I dislike it intensely, but it does lower the skill ceiling (as frothy said in another vid) which allows lower skilled players to have enough fun to keep playing and get good at aiming to the point where smart pistol is no longer fun and they ditch it.
to be honest its not that difficult to aim with legion anyways unless its a pilot that blinds you. with pistols you need more precision than with legion which makes the smart pistol way more beneficial than the smartcore
I know this is old, but just wanted to say I like the thunderbolt because you can just fire the thing into a group of titans 2 or 3 times and you have your titan ready to go again. It's actually insane.
I was surprised by the Thunderbolt's performance as well. Not really a great AT weapon but it's essentially a Titan battery if you want to call your next Titan asap.

Daniel Do Joking or serious? If serious: Tone has been nerfed multiple times and is in a good place. Monarch has always been balanced. Scorch does need a buff. Ion needs a Vortex Shield nerf (that thing should've been nerfed already) and Ronin needs a Sword Block nerf (70% for a normal block is nuts. It should be 70% for a Core-enhanced block. Normal blocks should block 40-50% damage).
Dang this tierlist just crushed my loadout like Mastiff: MEME Electric smoke: MEME Scorch: MEME And I'm still getting top three in almost all my matches so I guess you just have to harness the memes. Thats why the kraber, Mastiff, and scorch all exist in the first place. There unpredictable and you can do some insane damage output if you use them correctly. So in conclusion I think the meme teir should be renamed high skill floor
Gray Ranger except overwatch isn't a comp game its a very casual game the only reason why there are comp teams and tournaments is to appease the overwatch fan base making them think they are playing a competitive game when its really not, since aiming is pretty useless I'm not bashing overwatch because I enjoy it
I’ve found the hover ability useful for throwing titans off when ejecting. Especially in Last Titan Standing where titans try to insta-pop ejecting pilots
I agree, holopilot can be hilariously good. In a pilot 1v1, you run toward the enemy pilot, activate ability, and slide to the side shooting the enemy pilot. They become completely dazed as "you" run straight toward then while not dieing, you can mow them down with your gun. Then mercilessly teebag them.

Respawn's refusal to separately balance PC and console has significantly hurt about a third of the weapons in-game depending on your platform. They've been struggling to try and find a non-existent happy medium, which has been wasting everyone's time. The game is fundamentally different on these platforms, and they need to stop pretending it isn't.

It feels like respawn devs don't have a grasp on how much of an advantage hitscan is over projectile and seem to throw around these properties lackadaisically
One thing I love about the nade launcher is being able to rodeo a friendly titan in a sense giving them an extra form of offense vs another titan while stopping an enemy pilot rodeo. With how much the camera bounces around its awesome just being able to throw them out in the direction of the enemy titan and land your shots. I wish the missile was just a little bit quicker at the cost of damage reduced.
I would personally argue that the SMR is god tier against pilots if you’re good with it like I am. It has great rate of fire and if you can land your shots, then you’ll get consistent kills without dying.
I am going to respectfully disagree with your opinion on e-smoke, I use it and 75 percent of the time I throw it I secure the kill. It helps lower pilots quickly and it’s great for flushing out campers. I’ve been using it for years (been playing since release and used it for most of that in my main load out) If you spend some time with it it can be quite good. You can also just toss it towards some infantry and get easy points, which add up quickly.
My brain be like "Hover isn't meme tier! It's great, I only use it in 1 loadout but it works really well there!" *looks at loadout... Kraber, mozambique, and grapple; literally named the loadout dank meme's.
L-Star can be hilariously powerful against pilots, even in hipfire. TTK if you hit even just two headshots is insane, and if uou seriously put time into learning it its stupid how much fun you can have. Scorch is great in attrition, but monarch is, sadly, probably the best choice overall IF you can get her upgraded. The RE is great even at medium range, and i cant help but use the thunderbolt as my titna weapon. Other than that, backup battery, phase embark, tactikill or regen, and grapple.
I understand that you wouldn't want to do this because it would take twice as much time, so please don't take this as a recommendation, but I think it would be helpful to have separate lists for PC and console. I've seen people complain about how OP the DMR is on PC but at the same time it's easily the hardest sniper to use on console. Also holopilot main here.
JackTheRipper425 he's right not that many people bunny hop because it's hard to hop and shoot and people would rather have accuracy instead of speed so Kraber is easier I think
JackTheRipper425 Man the Kraber is way easier to use. It's a one hit kill no matter what, it's not hard to lead targets with it, the horizontal accuracy isn't a problem at all, the projectile drop is easy to predict and is the same every time, AND it has a projectile the size of a grapefruit. The only actual downside the Kraber has is the slow rate of fire, which really doesn't matter because it's a sniper.
I agree with everything but the Flatline. The Flatline is the Alternator's older brother. The performance at range is not lackluster. Much like the Alternator, you have to tapfire in order for it to be effective, and can be done with great results and reach at farther ranges than the Alternator itself. Unlike the aforementioned SMG, the Flatline caters to a slower playstyle but can definitely be rocked at a faster pace once mastered.
EVERYONE, just because your favorite gun is in the meme tier doesn't mean you can't use it. That tier means it's not very powerful, all the better because it means you're a good player if you consistently do well with it.
One thing that is severely underrated about the thunderbolt is just how much titan charge it gives you. I've managed a titan in 1 minute after losing my previous one by just spamming it down chokes.

*quick note about smart pistols* Players who use the crutch pistol for some reason become WAAAAY more aggressive, and it often makes them super predictable. I can't recall the number of times I saw the "pilot locking on" icon pop up, run around a corner, threw a gravity star behind me, and turned around to see the pilot had fallen for the trap, thus giving me a free RE-45 kill.
Volt ends up being my favorite SMG due to its hipfire accuracy wherever the dot is, is where the bullets will go, even when laying down on the trigger you dont lose any accuracy. At the same time, it is a little bit underwhelming since everything got buffed after it was nerfed.

I'll tell you now, it's just downright hilarious to Phase Shift inside a room with an enemy and then light them up before they realize what's happening. Phase Shift is also helpful if you need just a couple seconds to reload your gun if under fire, and if you have Fast Reload, then you'll come out with a topped-off gun.
This is just something I have noticed about me and my friends versing each other. I switch to the R-101 (lvl 15), everyone panics I switch to the Wingman (lvl 6), everyone rages I switch to the Mastiff (lvl 1), everyoe dies
I agree with almost the entirety of the video, but i’m hard pressed to agree with your analysis of scorch. No other titan has that level of defense, spammy, survivable zone control. First of all, he has free rodeo denial with his primary fire simply by shooting a wall above you. Second, his playstyle is best used to force opponents to come to you, not chase them down. Third, his grunt and minion clear is the best in the game, and all his ability’s scream 1 v 5, as he can block damage while doing insane burst and dot damage and then flame core all the titans rushing him. In one on one, meh your right, especially in the open. But in any team mode where he can fire around corners or over walls and force the enemy’s to come to him or his team, he’s a great titan. Calling Papa Roast a meme is accurate, but to deny his skills is a travesty

Every gun should have a strength and a weakness. But respawn was like "hey lets make a weapon that's strong as hell, noob level easy to use, and has no weaknesses." Thus, the R201 was born. It's an assault rifle with a fire rate like an smg but range like a sniper. Plus, virtually no recoil. It competes with smgs at close range, and lmgs at long range. I don't think there should be any gun like that, ever. Now all you r201 mains can roast me and insult my genitalia.

You severely underrated the thunderbolt. It’s one of, if not the best weapons to swing titan control. Gets your titan fast while also splitting up the enemy titans.
I need to know something.. is the matchmaking for anyone else fucked beyond believe? Titanfall is really frustrating to play if you as a lvl 36 get matched against a tem of Gen 15 and higher Players. Its no fun getting stomped almost every game. And the thing is, I don't even learn something from that because (in my limited expierience on PC) they use the R97, EVA-8, Smart Pistol and other shit like that, which to my understanding, are pretty strong/borderline overpowered right? I played on console before and got to gen 3 (I believe maybe it was high gen 2?) and I never had that much of a problem with shitty matchmaking. Are there really only high gen players left on PC? Because if I am honest with I am not having the greatest amount of fun right now even though I want to Play.
Honestly, from what I've heard there is really only very experienced players on PC, the PC playerbase apparently accounts for only about 1% of the overall playerbase.
I've never even touched Tone because even though it's got great abilities, it's the Smart Pistol of the Titan group. The Salvo Core flips the middle finger to supposed safe corners and walls, and the three-hit lock on is just annoying to deal with. Fun to play, bad to face.
One thing I want to suggest. The smoke grenade is actually pretty cool if you use it right. One thing it's good for is grunts and specters. You just toss it whenever there is a group and up goes the grunt kills. You don't have to waist your time shooting them, just toss and leave. I love running away and seeing kills count up. It's also good with the holo scope. You can toss it down and see through the smoke. When in a fire fight and there is a group of enemies together tossing it in the group can start causing damage while our team attacks. One of the best thing about the smoke is flushing out enemies! I love it for campers. A group of enemies in a map like exoplanet on top of those small rock slabs with the bushes on top. Toss one to push them off. It's also great when the team is in a little room where you want to push flush them back or into other players you can see on your map

Solid Fox 117 imo, both TF2's require a lot of individual skill to win, whereas Overwatch requires team coordination in order to win.

I would personally argue that the SMR is god tier against pilots if you’re good with it like I am. It has great rate of fire and if you can land your shots, then you’ll get consistent kills without dying.
I'm upset that Respawn nerfed the Wingman's damage, from 2 shot to 3 shot. And their excuse is laughable.

I am going to respectfully disagree with your opinion on e-smoke, I use it and 75 percent of the time I throw it I secure the kill. It helps lower pilots quickly and it’s great for flushing out campers. I’ve been using it for years (been playing since release and used it for most of that in my main load out) If you spend some time with it it can be quite good. You can also just toss it towards some infantry and get easy points, which add up quickly.

L-Star can be hilariously powerful against pilots, even in hipfire. TTK if you hit even just two headshots is insane, and if uou seriously put time into learning it its stupid how much fun you can have. Scorch is great in attrition, but monarch is, sadly, probably the best choice overall IF you can get her upgraded. The RE is great even at medium range, and i cant help but use the thunderbolt as my titna weapon. Other than that, backup battery, phase embark, tactikill or regen, and grapple.

I understand that you wouldn't want to do this because it would take twice as much time, so please don't take this as a recommendation, but I think it would be helpful to have separate lists for PC and console. I've seen people complain about how OP the DMR is on PC but at the same time it's easily the hardest sniper to use on console. Also holopilot main here.

It's a one hit kill no matter what, it's not hard to lead targets with it, the horizontal accuracy isn't a problem at all, the projectile drop is easy to predict and is the same every time, AND it has a projectile the size of a grapefruit. The only actual downside the Kraber has is the slow rate of fire, which really doesn't matter because it's a sniper.
I agree with everything but the Flatline. The Flatline is the Alternator's older brother. The performance at range is not lackluster. Much like the Alternator, you have to tapfire in order for it to be effective, and can be done with great results and reach at farther ranges than the Alternator itself. Unlike the aforementioned SMG, the Flatline caters to a slower playstyle but can definitely be rocked at a faster pace once mastered.

One thing that is severely underrated about the thunderbolt is just how much titan charge it gives you. I've managed a titan in 1 minute after losing my previous one by just spamming it down chokes.

Players who use the crutch pistol for some reason become WAAAAY more aggressive, and it often makes them super predictable. I can't recall the number of times I saw the "pilot locking on" icon pop up, run around a corner, threw a gravity star behind me, and turned around to see the pilot had fallen for the trap, thus giving me a free RE-45 kill.
Volt ends up being my favorite SMG due to its hipfire accuracy wherever the dot is, is where the bullets will go, even when laying down on the trigger you dont lose any accuracy. At the same time, it is a little bit underwhelming since everything got buffed after it was nerfed.

I'll tell you now, it's just downright hilarious to Phase Shift inside a room with an enemy and then light them up before they realize what's happening. Phase Shift is also helpful if you need just a couple seconds to reload your gun if under fire, and if you have Fast Reload, then you'll come out with a topped-off gun.

I agree with almost the entirety of the video, but i’m hard pressed to agree with your analysis of scorch. No other titan has that level of defense, spammy, survivable zone control. First of all, he has free rodeo denial with his primary fire simply by shooting a wall above you. Second, his playstyle is best used to force opponents to come to you, not chase them down. Third, his grunt and minion clear is the best in the game, and all his ability’s scream 1 v 5, as he can block damage while doing insane burst and dot damage and then flame core all the titans rushing him. In one on one, meh your right, especially in the open. But in any team mode where he can fire around corners or over walls and force the enemy’s to come to him or his team, he’s a great titan.

Every gun should have a strength and a weakness. But respawn was like "hey lets make a weapon that's strong as hell, noob level easy to use, and has no weaknesses." Thus, the R201 was born. It's an assault rifle with a fire rate like an smg but range like a sniper. Plus, virtually no recoil. It competes with smgs at close range, and lmgs at long range. I don't think there should be any gun like that, ever. Now all you r201 mains can roast me and insult my genitalia.

You severely underrated the thunderbolt. It’s one of, if not the best weapons to swing titan control. Gets your titan fast while also splitting up the enemy titans.

Titanfall is really frustrating to play if you as a lvl 36 get matched against a tem of Gen 15 and higher Players. Its no fun getting stomped almost every game. And the thing is, I don't even learn something from that because (in my limited expierience on PC) they use the R97, EVA-8, Smart Pistol and other shit like that, which to my understanding, are pretty strong/borderline overpowered right?
I played on console before and got to gen 3 (I believe maybe it was high gen 2?) and I never had that much of a problem with shitty matchmaking. Are there really only high gen players left on PC? Because if I am honest with I am not having the greatest amount of fun right now even though I want to Play.

I've never even touched Tone because even though it's got great abilities, it's the Smart Pistol of the Titan group. The Salvo Core flips the middle finger to supposed safe corners and walls, and the three-hit lock on is just annoying to deal with. Fun to play, bad to face.

One thing I want to suggest. The smoke grenade is actually pretty cool if you use it right. One thing it's good for is grunts and specters. You just toss it whenever there is a group and up goes the grunt kills. You don't have to waist your time shooting them, just toss and leave. I love running away and seeing kills count up. It's also good with the holo scope. You can toss it down and see through the smoke. When in a fire fight and there is a group of enemies together tossing it in the group can start causing damage while our team attacks. One of the best thing about the smoke is flushing out enemies! I love it for campers. A group of enemies in a map like exoplanet on top of those small rock slabs with the bushes on top. Toss one to push them off. It's also great when the team is in a little room where you want to push flush them back or into other players you can see on your map
