Lovely view of Newport! 😊 Both campsite look really nice. We hiked through the Cape Perpetua campground in February on the trail to the Giant Spruce. The campground was closed thought it looks pretty spacious between the campsites. Sometimes, you are just so comfy somewhere you don't feel the need to go away from it 😉 Have a great week Heather!
Yes ~ love the bridges and the break walls are amazing! We hiked along the Giant Spruce trail, but dog was getting tired so we didn't get to the tree... It is a lovely campground ~ we did have some girls in a tent next to us, but without reserving a spot we took what we got! It will be one to return to and do more hikes! Thanks & wishing you a great week as well :)
Thank you! I do research before we go and research as we travel ~ I try to select non RV park style places ~ places with a little charm. We end up enjoying them all!
Sunset Bay beach looked really nice! What a beautiful location. And Cape Perpetua, so lush and green! Looks like a big thumbs up from Lexie on both sites! An Oregon trip is moving up on the desired locations.
Sunset Bay Beach was super interesting ~ old trees buried in the sand and a perfect little bay. Very smoky when we were there though... I think you would like its history! Cape Perpetua would be up your alley as well ~ Thor's Well is there, but we were lazy... after 6 nights of family... plus it was perfection RIGHT THERE! I think Lexie would like to move to Oregon (we where there last week, but without trailer and she loved the cold and rain). Plan on more than a whirlwind week!
This one is going into my Oregon camping PL...you are my “go to” girl for Oregon and Cali camping...your preferred campgrounds are the kind we like too. Big thumbs up!
Both cool spots! I think you would enjoy both of them ~ happy to add to your playlist! :) I will see if I can come up with some others for you ~ ha ha!
Ahhh Oregon! I just love this state, I have relatives that live at the base of Mt Hood. The coastline is so beautiful and you mentioned Florence a favorite stop of mine. If traveling to or through Florence you must stop for dinner at the Waterfront Depot Restaurant! A great beer and "WINE" list awesome food and great service it is located on the Siuslaw River right next to the bridge which is highway 101, with 4.6 stars. I would give it 5! Thanks for sharing the awesome campsites putting these on my list!
We love Oregon too! That restaurant sounds amazing ~ we will be up there towards the end of summer and if we are in Florence will look it up! Hopefully they have a patio... dog! We were just in Oregon last week for a quick visit with family, but no trailer... hard to leave! Thanks for watching :) Heather
Have not stayed in either one tried to do Sunset Beach but could not reserve a site when we needed to go so will try next year. Our favorites are Harris Beach SP in Brookings, Fort Stevens SP in Astoria and South Beach SP in Newport
We just randomly showed up and got a spot at Sunset ~ we try to go to these types of campgrounds during the week and after Labor Day. I think South Beach was full when we drove by and we ended up in a Thousand Trails in Pacific Beach that time. We stayed at Fort Stevens a few years ago - nice place to walk and our dog liked the lake! I do have a video on that visit. Thanks for the suggestions! Oregon is so fabulous!
We simply took the hose & rinsed the salt water off of our Labrador retriever. She wasn’t on the table & there was a big drain for the saltwater to run off into. But definitely a good suggestion!

Looks like two great spots! Your dog is so cute!
Really pretty places! As is Oregon, right? We were just there last week, but just to quickly visit family ~ no trailer with us...
❤️Oregon
We love Oregon too! And we think our dog is cute also :)
The yurts look like a ton of fun!
They did look like fun! And they were back a bit by themselves ~ perfect spot to spend a few days!

@@TravelSmallLiveBig I don't recall if they have a patio, we were there for a late dinner so it was dark out. The restaurant is fab!
The menu looks fabulous! Might have to wait til Lex goes to doggy heaven to eat here though... Thanks for the tip!

Good info. Beautiful place. -Mark
Oregon is full of gorgeous places! We were just there last week, but without our Rpod…
It's pretty obvious that Lexie liked the last cab ground the best lol.
Adventuring Outdoors With Eric ha ha! She is such a water dog! Loved the lack of waves too. Both beautiful places!
Please dont wash dogs in the fish cleaning station.

@@TravelSmallLiveBig It's all good then. I was imaging the dog in a sink where people wash their food.
@@applegateoutdoorsadventures ha ha - no, way too big to lift in a sink and I definitely wouldn’t do that 😂
