Even when Jack saw her be with Sawyer, he sabotaged Ben's surgery to save Kate and Sawyer, knowing it could have screwed him big time. No matter what, Kate has Jack's back (except for when she went with John to the Dharma barracks instead of the beach with Jack). Even when they're angry with each other there's so much love. She never really gave up on Jack even as he spiraled into chemical excess and paranoia and jealously. She even came back to the Island on Jack's word.
CHILLS…JATE were ENDGAME all along…it’s evident and clear here if there ever was any doubt left still BEFORE the final kiss goodbye and the last season overall! Kudos to Lilly & Matthew for exceptional chemistry and line delivery! Nothing could ever come close to touching the excellence and brilliance and nuance of LOST…ever! Many shows have tried and miserably failed…time for another rewatch!!! My 10th I believe…I’ve LOST count lol

"I have always been with you" is so the truth. She's always been with him. And same with her. They do things to help each other out. This also shows that she's not just caring about herself; but Aaron. Aaron needed a mother; and I think Kate is making a great mother.

It's referencing the fact that throughout the time they spent on the island, Kate was in fact the person Jack often turned to when he needed someone to back him up, and vice versa of course. They helped each other, starting from the very first episode of season 1, even if it took a long time for them to actually develop an actual (romantic) relationship.
