I honestly feel like if jimmy saville was still alive right now none of the stuff would have come out about him therefore the police wouldn't have one pedo mad and Ian would be still out there now getting worse and worse. They were told in 2008 and did nothing what's the point in plucking up the courage to go to the police if they won't help you or take you seriously. I loved lostprophets and I thought Ian was a great guy. I was listening to start something earlier thinking how i played that album to death and felt incredibly guilty knowing what Ian did I'm still in complete shock over it as I always thought he was bi/gay
For the first time in over ten years, I tried to listen to it last year. Loved that album so much. Track #1 was mixed feelings of nostalgia and feeling like I'm doing something wrong. By track #3, I just couldn't keep going.
All the news sources are pointing to this article in regards to an answer that Ian gave in regards to his guilty pleasure. But, its misleading. If the whole interview is listened to and watched, his other bandmates were talking about the group Right Said Fred right before that question was asked to him. What was Ian's reply - You've already answered it, also he remarked that smack was a guilty pleasure.
While his drug use was known to people and to fans, as well as his perversions were known for some time before it all came out - from what I can gather from reading different articles - but this is no news whatsoever. Right Said Fred and heroin are his guilty pleasures - well, in this interview they were but now, sadly, we all know what they are.
My hope that through all of this, his mates, his family, and those who were abused can be able to pick up the pieces of their lives and begin to move forward. Now, while I want to see Ian punished for his crimes as well, I also would like to see if rehabilitation could be possible, so that, not only does he have to live with the remorse, guilt, etc of all he has done, but also, that he would somehow be made to make some sort of restitution to his victims.

Pretty good band, they're still listenable - plus there's more than one band member ... if you liked them before everything went downhill, then it shouldn't be as different now, some people (like myself) liked the music because it was catchy and it meant something, it's hard to leave it all behind just like that - it's all about the music, well I hope the other members start a new band.
1) They're certainly a good band, but the only song by them I can listen to now is "We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan" because Ian isn't in it and it's sung by Jamie Oliver instead.
2) They did start a new band, with Geoff Rickly, a much nicer guy than Ian Watkins and the visionary behind Thursday.
