I have seen many interviews where he is the same, very articulate and extremely intelligent. All of that is used to manipulate everyone in his life, including his own mum. Imagine being his mum and finding out what he had done after he had lied to her face and said he was innocent. I feel so bad for her, he is still her child, but look at what he has done. The drugs are no excuse for his behaviour, whatever came out later was already in his brain, the drugs just allowed him to not care. Whether or not something happened to him as a child we will never know, if it did I feel sad for him of course. But he should have had help if that’s the case. He has ruined so many lives, not least his poor victims who will suffer forever, along with his innocent family and band mates. And his own life has gone down the shithole, he will forever be known as one of the most disgusting perverts ever known. What a legacy to leave behind. For more than one reason, I am glad he had no children of his own to abuse, which is what he wanted. Hopefully he is sterile and no sane female will ever reproduce with this cretin, as that baby would be removed from her immediately by CPS.

He manipulated everyone from his closest friends and family to his fans. Them other girls involved were clearly just as deranged too. If someone put a lostprophets song on and you didn't know it was Ian singing you wouldn't say it was shit and your only saying he looks creepy and weird because of what you've learnt when the real truth is on this video he seemed lovely. At the end of the day his master plan failed and he's thrown away his whole life with what he has done and he can think about that every day whilst he rots in prison and has to think he is going to be a wrinkly weak old man when he gets out.
He's a very difficult figure to get your head around. I believe his drug problem is a symptom of his awful mental affliction and not the cause of it. An attempt to escape the feelings he has which in fact brought them to the surface in the most horrific way. I wonder if he truly feels guilty for what he's done or has repressed his feelings for so long he doesn't think himself part of or responsible to society. I'd love to see a prison interview with him but we don't have such luxuries this side of the pond.
