If it was in something that meant so much to me like Doom means to you, that would be a hell of a moment to cherish. I’m not sure where you stand with Dungeons and Dragons but I’m a DM and I’m always looking for real life people as inspiration for characters in my campaigns. I love to create characters based on real life people because they are so much more alive and quirky than any fantasy person I could create. Reality is always so much interesting than anything I could dream up. Would you allow me the honor of immortalizing your dad in my notebook of characters? Funny how games can just hit you so hard in the feels.
Man, having your dad's name immortalized in a game franchise that means so much to you really hits home for me. My dad passed away 10 years ago, and I know having his name immortalized in anything would mean the world to me. If it was in something that meant so much to me like Doom means to you, that would be a hell of a moment to cherish. That's such an amazing thing for the devs to do, and I wouldn't be able to thank them enough.
Would you be comfortable sharing his first name and sharing a few of his personality quirks and outstanding physical features?
I feel you man , I really hope you get your chance to do so
Sean Gearhart this is such a sweet offer, especially as an internet stranger. The spreading and immortalization through memory and passing on a person... that’s just a really nice thing.
I like how lots of people enjoy to lie
@@habsburgsaxecoburggotha You think I'm lying about my dad passing away when I was 17? Yeah, you got me. I thought that would be a funny thing to lie about... what kind of piece of shit do you think I am? If you must know, he has ALS. He had it for 2 and a half years until he passed on October 20th, 2010. I literally watched him slowly die for over 2 years and if you think I'm lying about that then you seriously have something messed up in your head.

Mark I sincerely hope you know how big of an impact you’ve made on the community over the years and this is a small gesture not just to your dad but it’s also a gesture on how much you mean to everyone and what your content provides people and it means so much. You give joy and laughter and hope to so many people on the internet and you represent exactly what the internet should be about, laughter and community
That little easter egg warmed my heart, Bethesda is famous for adding references to deceased fans/deceased family members of fans. So seeing a tribute to Mark's dad is really neat.
