I've been listening to Delta since day one and this song just floors me the most. There are so many beautiful, unexpected moments in this song, not just melodically but with her facial expressions. That sort of rap section and the late chorus just came out of nowhere! Also, every time she sings the line "that's heavy" it feels different. The first (2:15) is sad and painful, the second (4:41) is angry and the third (6:30) is like a resignation that others really don't understand.
I hope you do more of Delta she is with out a doubt the most underrated singer male or female anywhere. For me Delta is the best female singer in the world and it's a shame she doesn't get the recognition she deserves. I absolutely love her head and shoulders above anyone. Self-awareness is a never ending journey self-discovery. I have found the more self-awareness I gain more comfortable I am in my own skin and the better I connect with others and hopefully God. But it’s not always easy being honest with yourself and your character defects but it’s worth it I believe.
I discovered Delta's music back in 2003 with "I Don't Care" & "A Year Ago Today" I was 16 at the time and I found out a few months later that I was going to move to Australia the following summer in 2004. I lived there for 2 years until 2006. I found out a lot more about Delta. I discovered her Official Website back in March of 2004 & I got to listen to her Innocent Eyes Album before it was released. It was the raw audio recordings of all 14 songs.
I hope you can get back into Katy Perry’s discography. I hope you can check out her album ‘Witness’, it’s an experimental album and one of my favorites

The sad thing about this song is its about Delta lost her voice and had to go through rehab to get it back, the journey was over months and hard
