I personally think its even simpler. Here's my personal theory. Bear in mind, this is from memory, so forgive me if I can't remember XC2 lore 100% accuratly.
In Adenine's quests, we learn that the rightful ruler of Uraya mysteriously vanished after some strange illness befalling his family. It's also noted that he really loved visiting Gormott and even had a home there. Then we have Nia, the blade of a mysterious nobleman who had a daughter who was dying of a mysterious disease. And as a last desperate attempt, fused Nia with her "sister."
I'm sure you can figure out where I'm going with this. After the events of 2, the fact that Nia is a flesh eater got out and likely her backstory. People would have been like, "wait this is familiar". And Nia would have been made the rightful ruler of Uraya. This is why XC2's side seems to show off Uraya so much, and why Melia supposedly liked that titan. It belonged to Nia.

@Cqmeronnn There's a couple explanations. We don't know the political climate of Alrest after the game. Its possible they unified, similar to how XC1's world did.
Alternatively, and what I think is more likely, is that her old house is still standing somewhere and she simply likes living there because that's her home.

    • @shulkash8799
      @shulkash8799 Год назад +17

The problem with that is its never mentioned if the rightful ruler is Gormotti, only that he loved Gormott, and that another side quest there is a Gormotti that wanted to start a war, because he had information and relic that one of the urayan noble houses moved to Gormott in centuries past. And we, the party, stop him before he caused all out war, also the problem would still be that Nia never was interested in recovering her noble title.
If that were the cause what then?
Would Nia fight a war for the throne?
Would the Urayan queen would just give up her throne so easy?
Even if it was true and both stories are related Nia wouldn’t want to be queen, and she would be queen if she was given responsibility by a higher power/duty.

I like to think Agnus does exist as an actual sovereign nation within Alrest in the same way the real life UK is a sovereign nation of sovereign nations, which is especially amusing since all the accents in Alrest in English are from the UK. All the existing nations are still sovereign states, but they also defer to the greater government of Agnus. Agnus itself came into being as a natural result of the world’s union and coordination for the Origin Project.
Also, Nia is actually the only logical choice for Queen if you really think about it. In addition to all the usual points of her being a hero, a Flesh Eater, raised as a noble, and one of Rex’s wives, there is also the fact that she is technically unaffiliated with any major nation. Rex, Pyra, Mythra, and Tora all lack the knowledge on being in positions of power, and while Morag, Brighid, Zeke, and Pandoria would be knowledgeable in such fields, they are affiliated with Mor Ardain and Tantal. Making any of them the ruler of Agnus would be a bad look as it would appear like either major nation is trying to gain control over the others, and you know Uraya wouldn’t like that. Nia is the only person in the party who is remotely qualified and wouldn’t cause an uproar among the component nations.

Not just that, the whole affair of Xenoblade 2 left the population of Alrest and especially refugees from Indol in not so good shape, so Rex's party would naturally contribute to the reconstruction effort. Nia's amazingly powerful as a healer, and she would put her power on display often. Who else was a powerful healer? Fan La Norne, the "Goddess of Indol." so I assume the refugees would look up to her the same way they looked up to Fan. And on top of that and this is just a guess, the "Gift of the Architect" probably allowed Blades to live as humans. Nia would be an excellent leading example for them, as she lived as a human and a Blade.
Of course all of this is just speculation. Nia could have been the Queen because she lost a bet or something.

I partly agree with this, but I more theorize that if Agnus existed in the old world, it would have been a mix between the United Nations and Republic, with all the old nations being a part of it with all their leaders having a seat on it and Nia being the head of it. Between Tantal, Ardian and Uraya trying to colonize, Indole trying to reform itself and Gormott most likely trying to gain independence, there were probably a lot of conflicts in this early time. To fix this a unified alliance could have been formed to fill the role Indol did but better. I could see Pyra and Mythra actually being appointed to this spot due to being the Aegis and everything but declined and nominated Nia. Everything about affiliations, only having a minor to Gormott at best) and her noble past you said and her being a renowned hero only helps her case. Assuming that Agnus existed in new Alrest that is.

In regards to the Architect’s Gift, I think it was making Blades less dependent on humans. Blades still turn into Titans which birth new life and Core Crystals, but Blades themselves are not tied to humans beyond needing one for the original resonance and awakening. A Blade’s life is no longer tied to that of their Driver, so the Blade persists even if the Driver dies. Additional, Blades can freely choose their Driver once Awakened, so if the Driver dies or the Blades does not like their Driver for whatever reason, they can just walk out and live independently, maybe find a new Driver if they so desire, like how Ino could could have made anyone her Driver at any time but ultimately decided on not doing so until she meet Noah.

Nia's "father" was a lord in Gormott. IIRC he did end up losing the title; however Nia would still have some claim to Gormott, and with that power vacuum she became the defacto leader of Gormott, being Gormotti probably did help as well.
I think both sides started working on ways to communicate with each other around the same time. Rex and crew did know that other universes. They are also aware that one of the Trinity Processor is still around, so I can see them (well Tora) looking for ways to talk to other universes. Then picking Torigoth as a 'neutral ground' to build their half of Origin.

The problem with this theory is that 3 literally implies that Nia ruled over Mor Ardian, based on the origin flashback, where we see the locations of the castles are reversed in the origin flashback, Nia is seen where we see Uraya from the Keves castle and Melia is seen from where the Agnus castle grounds are currently located. Plus in addition to that we literally see an Ardian factory from Nia’s balcony in The picture where we see Tora, which means that she could only be in Mor Ardain based on the fact that Ardian Factories can only function thanks to the Titans thermopower, which means she has to be in Mor Ardian. Gormott would still be under Mor Ardian based we know from 2, plus maybe Gormott was incorporated to the current state of Mor Ardian, with full citizenship etc.
Plus with all the side quests that talk about that relationship between the two titans, and all the mix couples. I think the end result that both will united into 1 nation.

Wouldn’t the factories being useless after the events of two after all they are powered by the titan but during the story it’s dead and it’s likely when it fused with the land mass it along with the other titans died.
So my theory is Gormott being the most fertile titan with the only civilization that lives outside it titan its likely they became the superpower of the world. Mor ardian was abandoned because there factories could no longer be power and they could not properly farm on the titan. Genbu was no longer isolationist so it’s people on mass immigrated to much fertile land and with the titan dying it became even more uninhabitable as the cold made life harder. Uraya was also abandoned or weakened do to it people no longer being able to farm food do to limited sunlight as such rather than searching for fertile lands it likely the majority choose to move to either gormott or lands surrounding it.
Do to this Gormott became the economic, political, and maybe military superpower of the world with the highest population that’s still growing whereas every other nation is experiencing a recession. As for Nia becoming queen it’s likely her family also chose to move to Gormott and in order to prevent the chaos that comes with mass migrations they stepped up to guide Gormott as leader with Nia using her connections to an old Gormotti noble family from their they just gained political power until the people especially the Gormotti began to refer to her as queen.

  • @aleksb.3832
    @aleksb.3832 Год назад +18

Another Perspective is this: Nia being a Gormotti Flesh Eater gives her a unique position as a compromise between Mor Ardain and Uraya. Uraya and Mor Ardain have a distrust of each other, and were fighting over the ownership of Gormott, so having the Gormotti be a neutral party to lead seems like a good idea. Through that kind of compromise Nia could become queen, especially since she is one of the heroes of the new world and Rex's wife. There is of course Tantal to consider, but given their rough history I doubt they would have a leg to stand on, and under Gormott rule they would essentially be bailed out of Tantals horrid conditions. The different guilds would most likely not be bothered or might even be in support since they are mainly business titans, and having the world unite under a single nation would make their trade easier.

There is a detail that is easy to miss. You know Aedeline, the scholar blade? She has a heart to heart where the book seller she wants is also desired by another scholar. To settle this, the two have a trivia duel on a topic of Rex's choice.
If the topic is royalty. They say that the rightful king of Tantal fled a stream of assassinations and ended up with a Gormotti noble before vanishing from history.
My thought is that the family Nia was raised in was that family descended from that king. Nia's actual blood ties are questionable, being a flesh eater, but if the world was in crisis she would still be a critical figure head. The merging causing serious nerves is the key cause of the third game.

My idea is the ockhams razor of your ockhams razor idea, the queens are there simply due to their lifespans.
I feel like it's highly suggested that the XB1 crew had come to pass, they're gone somehow, either before aionios or have somehow changed through the rebirth cycle. Melia has gotten to forgo all of this due to her increased lifespan compared to her friends
Nia is the same, with her being a flesh eater, she is near immortal like Cole (minoth) was in XB2. Her long lifespan makes it a no - Brainer that she'd be the one to rise to power, either by the idea that she's the only one left that hadn't died and been reborn, or that she simply can outlive everyone, and everybody wants a more.. everlasting leader.

Either there is an actual explanation of why she became queen like you explained...or they just picked her specifically because she's, well, Nia. I still stand by the thought that future connected mainly exists just to show how Alcamoth was restored in order to establish Melia as queen. For Agnus they had to pick an equally popular character and unfortunately characters like Niall won't cut it, so Nia felt like the perfect choice.
This is a bit off topic but I like how Nia is similar to Melia in more ways than one. I just think it was a thing of circumstance. At the end of the game all the nations join the land of elysium so in turn they sorta become "one nation." Maybe they didn't actually become one nation till aionios but since circumstances (worlds colliding) arose, they needed someone to head the project in surviving. However, a leader of one of the nations wouldn't be fit so they needed a sorta a neutral party. Nia was then given authority to her by the kings and queens of the other nations which made her this lead role. Obviously Rex would best fit that role as showcased throughout 2 but while he's someone people would listen to, he's not exactly fit as a king (at least in a traditional sense). Zeke and morag wouldnt be fit since they are from their respective nations and tora is busy building origin. The task would then fall on Nia who was taught how to be lady like by her father so she would know how to somewhat navigate. And with the backing of the prince of tantal and special inquistor of mor ardain, i'm sure other nations would agree to it

  • @anthonydavis5826
    @anthonydavis5826 Год назад +4

I think Nia being the leader of Agnus is as simple as the fact that she was one of Rex’s wives. Due to his role in defeating Malos and bringing all of the Titans together, Rex in adulthood probably became a highly respected and prominent leader in the new world he created (which ceased to be Alrest after the titans all docked together and was renamed Agnus instead). None of the other nations were willing to let a noble from any of the others accept a mantle of leadership over the entire new nation, so Rex became a logical choice instead. And Nia, as his wife, became queen too.
Of course, that means that at some point Pyra and Mythra were also queens, and by extension, Mio and her sisters were princesses. I can’t explain what happened to them. Hopefully the story DLC sheds some light on that. But given their personalities, I can’t see Pyra or Mythra wanting to take on any kind of leadership role in the new society. Nia, being a flesh eater and a former member of a noble house, would be a logical fit. Urayans, Ardanians, Tantalese, Leftherians, and however many surviving Indolines remained could all probably agree to a Gormotti ruler more easily than they could to anyone who was from one of those other three races. Morag and Zeke could both see that and would likely support Nia’s claim.

I just had a 'theory' on how and why the queens were able to communicate with one another.
Future Connected was said to hint at the future of the series, so it's possible, or maybe even implied, that the rifts found in there connect Alrest and Bionis/Mechonis, as we see that, supposedly following the conduit's influence end, the worlds started merging (and we also see that the fog king is similiar to a guldo).
That said, I think that the only way to cross those rifts unharmed and send information was through light, or electromagnetic radiation, which permitted the communuication between the two worlds. If a living being, or maybe even an object, which are made of matter, passes through the rifts, it turns into an abomination like the fog king, corrupted, because of the inabilty to exist in the other world, by the black fog (which we see in Xenoblade 3 as the sign of the worlds colliding), therefore making any physical connection impossible. That may explain why just non-sentient beings would cross the rift, such as the Guldo (and I don't know if the other fog enemies are enemies that are found even in 2, or if they have been corrupted directly in the Xeno 1 world).
As to why the things that crosses the rift do not completely vanish I don't know, maybe it is because the intersection is not yet completed, or maybe they were not supposed to be erased from existence in the first place, just staying in that form for some time, but that is up to debate.
Also, it can be assumed that the rifts were being investigated both in Alrest and Bionis/Mechonis, so that every attempt of communication through light would be easily detected by the people on the other side of the gate that are monitoring it, whoever tried first to contact the other, even randomly. As for the mean through which light is sent I have no idea, but since in our world we communicate via electromagnetic radiation pretty easily, I'm ok with that. We have very few information on the rifts and the fog, but I think that this could be interesting for figuring out a reason as to why things are explained in Xenoblade 3 this way.

I think it’s also worth pointing out that, with the formation of the new Alrest via the joining of the titans, the idea of one unified nation with one ruler makes a lot more sense.
The primary world powers in Alrest before the merging were Mor Ardain, Uraya, Tantal, and the praetorium. Leaving the last one out as if that titan did survive, safe to say there’d be a power vacuum, I could actually see the other 3 merging into Agnus fairly peacefully with someone like Nia in charge.
Niall already didn’t see himself and particularly worthy of the throne, so he’d probably see Nia as a better leader for the empire (also the ending somewhat implied Morag was considering retiring, so I could see her and Niall wanting to make up for lost time and bond without the pressure of being royalty).
Zeke definitely wouldn’t complain about giving up Tantal with the poor state it was in and yknow he just didn’t want to, and his dad really can’t deny it’d be better for the people given his mistakes.
Urayas the tricky one, the queen never seemed too bad or unconfident in her leadership, so it’d depend largely on the reasons you gave for why Nia would be trusted with so much power, although seeing as one of her partners is the leader of the Garfront mercenaries (at least I imagine Rex fully took up Vandhams role after the ending; adult Rex certainly acts like he did), who are a very powerful force for good in both Uraya and all over the newly formed Alrest, she may have some extra clout.
After that, I can’t see any other titan be unwilling to merge as well, especially not Leftheria.
The origin thing, though, yeah that’s definitely be a big motivator for organizing things as smoothly as possibly to save the world.

My theory for how Nia became the queen of Agnus was due to her being part of the group that saved Alrest by climbing the world tree we know Tantal know the party is making the climb as the king points in the direction of the pneuma sword and Nile Morag's cousin/stepbrother knows that she is there too only leaving Urya out but it is likely that Nile informed the queen due to both of them no longer wanting to control gormott making rex the savior of the world as he was the aegis driver and returned by giving elisym from the Architect which could have seen him gaining enough power to be a ruler making him a king and pyra mythra and nia queens but nia stays to rule as she has the most knowledge how to while rex could have fought moebius with pyra and mythra dule weilding their swords when Aionios was made.
As for who made first contact I think it was from the Keves side because of Alvis. We know that he has memories of the world before alrest and knew that the zohar was leaving at the end of XC1 so with that knowledge and connections to his sisters from the other side could have given the warning of the 2 worlds colliding for how could he have communicated with pyra and mythra we know that she as pneuma was able to speak briefly to malos after he had died and alvis never died we just don't know where he is after XC1 but always had a close eye on Shulk who was deemed worthy enough to the God of the world of XC1 and looking out for Shulk's safety is something that he has done many time on the form of unlocking new monado arts through the game and that shulk can still tap into that power with the monado REX as the + upgrade made it so that its stats were better than the monado 2 but still less than the monado 3 and Shulk definitely would have worked on origin for his side.
So it was Alvis that communicated to shulk or melia of the worlds coming together and a way to talking to the other side possibly telling his sisters of the coming threat making the what I will call the lightline (like landlines that phones used to need to work) to communicated to each other to make origin which shulk either made or had help in the making of the lightline for keves and gave it or one to melia with the Agnus one possibly from tora who was told how by alvis through pyra and mythra or from their communication system that already exists in Alrest (we see them being used by Bana to talk to Dugal and others) and that secure line for such calls exist for them but never on the XC1 side do we see that type of communication existing as the nopon the closest in relation to high entia had to appear in person for the United front on mechonis with maybe the high entia having such tech but that can only guessed when Kalian orders all troops to get off the mechonis sword via haveris but with the mixing of high entia and machina tech that type of communication could be possible leading to the creation of the lightline

At the end of the day, this has to do with Alrest politics post XB2 which nobody is privy to. However, I agree with your inclinations here. I think the origin project would have been a formative or focusing event in concretizing the ruling structure of Alrest. But even before this, I definitely think the main party of XB2 would have been popularly regarded as Heroes/rulers of the new continent, with the existing sovereigns still leading local governments. In fact, I think this is Rex’s role initially (literally as king in latin) until he dies or resigns pre-origin and Nia his queen taking over for him which makes sense considering she does not age as quickly. It does also seem implied that the communication zoom method is only available to Nia but there is so little info on this that I can’t say if that would have contributed to her authority or is a symptom of it. But yeah doesn’t even really matter too much and they may elaborate on it in the dlc which I expect because it seems the key art suggests a more formal reunion of the three worlds, in which old characters like shulk rex and pyra will likely be included.

My personal theory was that people turned to Rex after the union of Titans on the new continent because he's basically the only one with a complete picture of what was happening, and similar to the way Addam was popular with the people, Rex is generally well liked and helps everyone he meets, not to mention the benefit of being the leader of the beloved Garfont Mercenaries. I figure people would start picking fights and Rex would get kind of overwhelmed by the politics of it, and Nia would step in to put people in their place in his defense.
Basically Rex is too nice for Politics and Nia doesn't take any shit, so she naturally fell into a leadership role during the reconstruction effort after the Titans merged.

Keep in mind that the "nations" of both Keves & Agnes were likely both created by Mobius & that they captured Melia almost immediately so you can assume that Nia went into hiding until M became a Mobius she could recruit M to help the Ouroboros while she sealed herself in cloudkeep to monitor the world until they arrived. So it's likely that Mobius positioned Melia & Nia as the queens simply because they had the "keys" to Origin due to being in charge of its construction and once Mobius assumed they were no longer able to interfere they set up robots to act as queens for the purpose of deceiving the soldiers of both nations. Keep in mind that every Ferronis besides Gilgamesh was created in Origin so Mobius also created the castles. Mobius made Melia and Nia the queens simply because Origin effectively categorized them as leaders of each respective world due to Spearheading the plan save both worlds from annihilation.
So it still comes down to why Nia was chosen the lead the project but I think the only character might have in theory been a better choice is Pyra/Mythra due to what an Aegis actually is but Pyra might've either lost her connection to the Trinity processor after the ending of XB2 or was directly helping with its development in the same was as Tora, and Nia might be the only other party member that could communicate with Melia as it would likely require a blade who has a bond with the master driver but would still able to survive without a driver otherwise (at least going by the way blades worked during the events of 2, its very likely the rules for blades started changing after the ending but likely wouldn't have finished changing by the time the project start).
My first paragraph was explaining the evidence in game of how Mobius likely established Agnes & Keves and why they selected Nia and Melia to be the queens, while the second paragraph was just my own theory why Nia was leading the Origin project in the first place as I agree that it's likely what determined who the leader of each nation was.

I think that Nia is the Queen of Agnus, because everyone who was in charge ahead of her died or abdicated. Nia is way down on the totem pole as someone who would be potentially made a ruler. Remember at the time XC2 takes place a Blade being a Flesh Eater was strongly looked down upon and cause for the Blade to be destroyed if discovered.
My view is that after XC2 ends the party and the leadership of Tantal, Mor Ardain, Gormott, and Uraya likely met and formed a council. Rex was the Master Blade, Pyra and Mythra were two of the Aegises, Zeke was the Crown Prince of Tantal, Tora and his family created all existing Artificial Blades, Morag was originally groomed to be Emperor of Mor Ardain, until her cousin Niall was born and eventually became Emperor at a young age, Nia was forced to become a Flesh Eater some previous Gormotti noble and then he forced her to play at being his daughter, and the Urayan Queen who may or may not be the rightful ruler.
We have no idea how much time passed between the ends of XC1 & XC2 and two worlds making contact with each other. But at the very least a couple of decades (but potentially centuries) did pass before the lead up to the development of Origin and a few years for the actual building of Origin.
So it is possible that Shulk and all of his party except Melia on the XC1 side as well as Rex, Morag, Niall, Tora, and the Urayan Queen on the XC2 side all passed on before the development even started. It could be their descendants and not them who are seen or referenced XC3. So Melia would both be the last person standing other than Alvis, but as mentioned in the video Melia is the only one left XC1 side that is a direct heir to a throne and leadership. On the XC2 side however, we have Pyra & Mythra, Poppi, Pandoria, Zeke, and Nia.
We know what happens with Poppi. For Pyra, Mythra, and Alvis, I rather like the idea that they volunteered to be hooked up to Origin somehow to act as processors for it, and they were in a place that was separate from what we were able to access. At this point, Melia is the only one there to be a leader in the XC1 side really. On the XC2 side this would leave Nia as well as Zeke & Pandoria. With Zeke & Pandoria being linked together by Zeke being a Blade Eater using her it is possible that they could live just as long as Nia could.
Of the options at this point for a person who could become the ruler of a united Alrest: You have the Crown Prince of Tantal and his Blade/lover, with Tantal being thought of by the world as the heirs of Addam. Or you have a Flesh Eater who had ties to the terrorist group Torna, who was raised as the daughter of some unnamed Gormotti noble. Of these two options Zeke is the clear first choice.
Working towards a reason why Nia is the leader, I really only see the following options as being realistic: Zeke & Pandoria don't get Mikail's long lifespan, and grow old and die similar to how Minoth grew old; Zeke refuses to take the role because he knows that his family and people are not the descendants of Addam as the Royalty of Tantal had claimed; Zeke & Pandoria were the leaders for a time and eventually he stepped down or was killed. Nia more or less ends up being the last person who would have been on the original Council that is left and made the Queen.

Mine theory: to build Origin, it's needed technology from both world, in XB1 the most high tech it's binded with DNA from the imperial family so Amelia it's needed to control it, on XB2 side, we see that Pyra and Mithra are fused with Nia (their weapons show wer she extract her weapon) somehow (maybe thanks her cellular control power), this because they needed Pneuma to control high tech from the old world, she died, but Pyra and Mithra are her remain. So, Nia became queen (aka: the center of the fusion on XB2 side) by product.

    • @shulkash8799

The problem with at theory is that Nia’s blade weapon in Aionios isn’t created by her core crystal, it created by Origin, which you can see because the blade’s core crystal is pure blue instead of of the combined red and blue cores that flesh eater blades weapon have. And since it’s created by Origin the user can make it have any form he or she desires, for Melia is her future connected staff and telethia wings and for Nia is her scimitar and the constructs of the aegis swords.
In all honesty, they are probably no lore reason behind it other than it looks cool and to be a reference. And if they need a lore reason to explain it, it would just be that Pyra and Mythra transferred authorization to her/ gave her data, before I would say that they fused with her.

Anyone can change their blade to another weapon, the problem is that people wouldn’t have experience with it and a lack of skill with it would get the team killed, that is the reason no one uses this ability once in war.
Edit: And Nia core crystal hasn’t changed, she is still a flesh eater, if the blade was produced from her core crystal it, it would have the flesh eater colors, which means it was produced in origin. I'm gonna say this BEFORE watching, so feel free to laugh at me if I end up sounding like an ass.
People throw around the possibility of Rex ascending to the rank of King, not only having surpassed Addam in heroism and rank, but also his very name. I could certainly see the Garfont Mercenaries becoming a considerable presence in Alrest. And Nia does have some experience with political matters, being the daughter of a Gormotti nobleman. However, this isn't like his children where the photo just removes any need for asking about Blade-human reproduction, there are still many questions which have some potentially plausible answers but nothing concrete.
Given that the new continent is, well, new, it's possible that governance of it ended up falling to the Garfont mercs, making Rex effectively King, and thus honored by the other nations of Alrest, with Nia in turn becoming Queen either by some ancestral claim, being Rex's wife, or both. Of course, this all had to have happened within a given time frame, for Origin to be half-constructed with Tora's help, and Tora himself having not visibly aged much.
My personal theory is that pre-Intersection, Nia was not Queen in the same manner as Melia, and rather presided over the fledgling nation on Elysium (new continent) rather than all of Alrest. This, combined with her administrative access to Origin, promoted her to Agnus' Queen when Aionios formed.

Look at 2 again. note who nia empathizes with and defends, note she represents the most oppressed races in the game, that she is an inspiration to the others and they follow her lead at the cliffs of morytha; drifting soul has vocals because she doesn't want to hide anymore. She wants to live a life not in constant fear. Mythra was forced into revealing herself when she didn't want to (preferably never). She did it out of survival and to rightfully chew rex for forcing her to awaken.
In torna that's why the violin version of drifting souls plays instead. Mythra's fears, insecurities and every negative thing people have said about her... they are being validated. The fear isolates and silences her from reaching out. Who would ever accept something as flawed and dangerous as her? In her mind she doesn't deserve to be accepted.

I think the explanation is simple: XC3’s world collide event happens far into the future relative to the timeline of both XC1 and XC2 aka hundreds of years have gone by in both world before the worlds collide. High Entia (Melia) and Blade Eater (Nia) can live much longer than the rest of their respective party in their respective games. Rex has aged and grown into adulthood which means he can die of natural causes. Pyra and Mythra’s revival is thanks to him so I think they possibly pass on along with him, or even if they still carry the Aegis power they would choose to “die” a human death when their love pass away. Zeke and Pandoria are Blade Eater, so Zeke would still die and cause Pandoria to be dormant, same goes for Morag and her Blades since there is nothing unique about them. The fact that at the end of XC3 Poppy jump out of the machine behind Nia’s rest implies that much time have moved on for them because they are the two logical members that can outlive the rest of the cast. Kinda the same case when Melia has the Monado encased in display instead of Shulk using it. It is probably because he has passed and she wanted a memento.
So with the fact that this is hundreds of years in the future, it is not a stretch to see Nia as Queen. She is after all in a unique position, as she has ties with all the nations in the world through her adventures, friendship with the major royalty (girl literally resurrected an Emperor), and in a world where blade-human hybrids thrive because Rex had to have his harem, it makes sense. Nia’s story arc in XC2 is also all about how she can live on and be happy despite the loss of her loved ones. Her main conflict was outliving people she loves until her love for Rex took her out of that shell. So even though she loves Rex she would still embrace her own life even after he passes on.

I thought the same, but Tora, though (helping build Origin)... if that really is Tora, and not his apprentice or something (or even a descendant, child, grandchild,... did Tora shash? but he loves poppi and she loves him, but nopon + robot can't produce offspring, yikes)... like, the "new" blade+alrest people "race" (Fiona, Nimue, Teach,... etc. - everyone from Agnus, basically... but that's in Aionios, so... yeah)... that'd take some time to establish... Same on the Keves side... doesn't Segiri look half machina, half homs (Lanz kinda too, like, the machina in 1 look very different, but they might just have weird sense of fashion, who knows!)... and tiny wings/color wings high entia + homs (we know that's possible, becaue Meli too is half homs half high entia, just royal blood)... :D
so, yeah, Nia is essentially immortal, being a superb healer type blade/flesh-eater... Darn, I really want to know how long after the first two games' ends is the construction and boot up of Origin (and creation of Aionios) >x

Well, after beating the game naturally you will be pissed like, " thats it? Where is the conclusion of the first entrys I was waiting for?".
So, curious as I am I came to YT, watched some vids and came up with my own questions.
Alot of stuff doesnt make sense.
Then it came to me, when I remembered Noah standing on a meadow looking at two worlds in the sky?
    Why are there two worlds?
    Where is Noah exactly?
Why is there a art of all three protagonists monados?
In XC1 there are three monados: Zanza's, Mayneth' and Shulk's (I guess in some sense as Alvis himself)
In XC2 there are three as well: Pneuma, Logos and Ontos
In XC3 I dare to say there are three as well: Noah's, N's and ,literally, Origin itself.
There is clearly a pattern by which the conduit have to follow the principle of a trinity.
Also, knowing that the conduit somehow is an AI, it cant handle error.
So it needs to develop a proper outcome without error.
So that lead me to one final conclusion:
Aionios is its own unique world, some sort of a world operated in development mode based on trail and error.
It is the base for the realities tied together again.
But that also means everything of its lore is fake, also Melia and Nia are not the real ones, but maybe implemented as testsubjects for erroranalysis.
That means in the end of the day the next big entry ( XC4 I guess) is about Bionis, Mechonis, Alrest and Aionios merge and thats how we somehow end up with a game where Shulk, Rex and Noah co-exist.
I know, pretty wild stuff, but like this, everything in XC3 makes perfect sense, at least for me.

The part that confuses me is while Keves is a combination of both the culture of the High Entia and the Homs, Agnes does not appear to have any Gormotti culture, but is instead a fusion of Torna and Indol. Torna maybe Nia brought it back as a homage to Jin, but why Indol? The only possible explanation is the refugees in Leftheria came to Gormott, but that doesn't change that there is no trace of Gormotti culture in either Nia's ceremonial robes or the overall design of Agnes. And this is especially strange since Gormott was around at the time of the fusion.
Maybe considering her blade form, that's simply a style she likes?

and people try to tell me with a straight face the xenoblade 3 story is better than xenoblade 2 when even luxin here brings up how poorly explained everything is in 3. xenoblade 3 is a good game with a good war story with good themes yes, but alot of the game the story rushes things to get to the end and stop moebuis and doesn't explain most of everything or even about the world itself. xenoblade 1 and 2 are the complete opposite and are way more fleshed out than 3 especially xenoblade 2, it has the most fleshed out world, story, and characters to me. idk why people have a hard time admiting this about xenoblade 3, its like they think even admiting xenoblade 2 does the world building and lore better is an attack on the game. we just expect more from xenoblade 3 lore and world building wise because this is the xeno series.
