Hello! You guys like Chopin’s Piano Sonatas? In this week, I prepared his “Piano Sonata No. 2 1st movement”. I believe that lots of people who like Chopin’s pieces know his famous “Funeral March”. It is the third movement of the Piano Sonata No. 2. The compositional origins of the Piano Sonata No. 2 are centered on its third movement. So, all movements give a dark ambiance. Which movement is your favorite in Piano Sonata No.2? Anyway, I hope that you guys like this performance. Thank you! Have a nice day!
@@aleksanderkalicki5518 Tiens, Franz Liszt ! Il est vrai que je suis très présent dans la musique classique, mais tu devrais voir plus souvent ta famille 😂
Yes yes me too, although I find this one and many other a little rushed and slowed. My absolute favorite performance is Martha Argerich, It is just wonderful! You should listen. Tell me if you like it.
I’m almost sure it is! I’ve read somewhere that Beethoven’s Sonata no. 12 op. 26 was Chopin’s favourite sonata, similar to this, known as “The Funeral March”, often performed and taught to his students by Chopin, with a few radical differences, in form, it still is a homage to Beethoven, with influences from Bach (ex. fourth mvt) and Scarlatti. A change to be named could be, albeit similar third slow-movements, Beethoven’s Scherzo is closer to a minuet while Chopin’s has the elements of a mazurka. It could be said that this whole sonata is an allusion to Chopin’s favourite Beethoven Sonata.
@@jotes2316 although school stuff is important, remember your own well being and health should always be put above that. Sounds like you need a really good break and some de-stressing. I guess try just leave yourself a couple of minutes each day to just relax. Hope everything goes well for you
Oh so well done once again. I think a piece like this needs to have a certain chaos about it, yet somehow still deliberate. You’ve delivered in both ways. Hope to see more Chopin.
Irodragon I don’t think you how how that works. If you’re hands make one wrong move in this piece. Your wrists can get seriously injured. And she’s played a few pieces before while she was hurt. (Winter wind, Etude no.6, etc.) so actually, her hands could be hurt. Better luck next time
@@texasred7137 why are you simping. Its simple that if your wrists are tense you will hurt yourself, and she only plays with tense wrists. Why don't you learn to play instead of learning to simp
I just realized that all of my favorite panio songs on RUclips are played by Kassia. So, thank you Kassia for helping me fall in love with classical music. 😁
I love it! I love it! I love it!!! Thank you so much, I did not know this piece at all except for the 3rd movement of course but it's got to rank high up in my favorite Chopin pieces now.
I am going to buy a Casio CTX700 keyboard and learn how to play the piano soon. It has always been a dream of mine to play on the same caliber as you or Rousseau. Thank you for inspiring me!
Fico feliz em ver como o seu canal cresceu Kassia, te acompanho a tempos pois você é uma bela inspiração para a minha evolução como pianista noturno de quarto. Acho que Chopin não compreende que 1 movimento era pra ser calmo, tá maluco...
This is absolutely beautiful. I have an 8 hour drive to my cousins’ houses and all of your music is going in the playlist. Why? Because your playing is absolutely stunning.
1:59 Holy crap after five hours I found a wrong note. The octaves were wrong. HAIIIYYAAAA ngl u did a great job. The Chopin sonata is considered one of the hardest. Good job!

This is just such a beautiful performance, well done. I particular loved your tempo, and how you respected the dynamics of the score. I liked it so much I had to listen to it more than once :). I do love the Funeral march, for sure. But I may prefer the 3rd piano sonata overall (just a matter of personal taste, nothing against the 2nd). Movements 3 and 4 of the 3rd piano sonata are particularly endearing to me. I feel they showcase Chopin's genius with the Piano particularly well (though you could say that about lots of his compositions obviously). I hope you consider playing them one day :)
I’d like to imagine that Kassia is a floating pair of ghost hands with major regret of not playing every song there is and now she’s bound to play beautifully for eternity.
Hi, Jacob!:) I can play Ballades. But, If possible, I want to make the best performance for Ballade No. 1. As you know, a lot of people love Ballade No. 1. Thank you!!💕

The fourth movement is also good if you know how to properly listen to it
I hate the people who dislike such an amazing performance

These people probably have a goal to dislike every RUclips video they see.
Maybe in their culture , the 👎 means like ~
I don't like it but I didn't dislike

What about Glenn Gould and J.S Bach???
I think that her style fits better with listz

Since the opening is so similar to Beethoven's last sonata (op. 111) I always wondered if this "Funeral March" sonata was some sort of homage...
