I remember when my dad bought the Cinderella VHS and I watched it too many times to count because she was a black princess! She was definitely a fun part of my childhood.
My fave shows as a young woman were Sister Sister, Moesha, Half & Half, The Parkers and Girlfriends. So dear to me and I’m glad to see Brandy in this Moesha reboot!💕

Loved and resented it too! Loved how there were so many positive programs to choose from as a little girl, mostly ones I could relate more to like Sister Sister and Half and Half... But resented how all our programming was on one network (UPN) while other black programs that made the cut to other networks were only if it made us look like fools (like Family Matters e.g )! Loved Family Matters too but it was the only show I remember that got to be a part of TGIF line-up, and I felt like it was cuz it made other ppl laugh... in a way at us ... Not sure if I'm explaining it right. But it was like even in television we were segregated, unless you could laugh at us. I got to take black studies in Middle School so maybe that's why it was that deep to me, lol... I really hope I explained right.

They all come together for a high school reunion and dedicate it to Hakeem and Ohagi then they later end up at what used to be The Den and celebrate Andell. & of course drama is needed so Q apologizes to Moesha and they begin to reminisce about their teen years and what could’ve been

I’m Chicana, and I grew up on Moesha, Sister Sister, The Parkers, 227, Amen, and more. My parents were super religious and most “White” sitcoms my parents didn’t find appropriate. They let me watch these shows because of the family dynamics and the emphasis on family. Sheryl Lee Ralph’s character of Dee absolutely shaped me. She taught me how to be a strong independent woman. Moesha taught me how to stand my ground and lean into my creativity. Countess Vaughn taught me to put passion into everything I do like she did with her performances on the shows. Shar Jackson was so gorgeous to me as a kid, and made me laugh so much. Monique taught me confidence in so many ways. These characters mean more than just a show or entertainment. I know they mean even more for the Black community. Representation is everything.

Im only 18 and starting my journey to becoming an actor and i pray to god i be in this reboot it would be such a great experience for me considering im a fan of not just the show but all 90s black sitcoms that represented positivity and life lessons! The Moesha reboot, is going to be a Hit, it's a big Hit for Netflix bringing back the legendary show, I can tell that the new Moesha is going to do it right, with the amazing cast that they had, and honor the cast members that passed away, and add some new great pieces with the original cast energy
Emotions come from being able to live life and see how far you have come. Flowers to you. I watched it with my babies also. Stuff still exist. My 8 year old trys to stay up all night to watch. As a parent ,I am so glad my children get to see it. After every show we talk and laugh. Crying cause God has blessed you... That's real

I been watching moesha seasons going on 4 days now off and on. I remember season 1-3 episodes like it was yesterday. I don't like how the show turn and ended tho but.....it STILL a classic and one of them best BLACK tv shows to come out. And brandy looks so youthful even tho 41 AIN'T old.

The Moesha reboot, is going to be a Hit, it's a big Hit for Netflix bringing back the legendary show, I can tell that the new Moesha is going to do it right, with the amazing cast that they had, and honor the cast members that passed away, and add some new great pieces with the original cast energy
Emotions come from being able to live life and see how far you have come. Flowers to you. I watched it with my babies also. Stuff still exist. My 8 year old trys to stay up all night to watch. As a parent ,I am so glad my children get to see it. After every show we talk and laugh. Crying cause God has blessed you... That's real
