This was the platform to "flex" per say. In essence this was a platform for her to embrace and share all of her creations. She is a person that has been 'in' curating and healing so when you have an opportunity to come 'out' and share - you want and need to give your all...which in essence heals everyone she reaches💕💕
Brandy's voice is underrated, in my opinion. People think that if you're not singing like Whitney Houston or running all over the place like Monica, that you're not really singing. Monica has a good voice, but she yodels and runs and sings too hard ALL OF THE TIME. She doesn't know when to soften her sound.
Brandy has such control in her lower register! I'll take Brandy over Monica and day.
It’s funny you say that, because Monica is basically like a Jennifer Hudson except it’s not as loud. Monica doesn’t have NO control over her voice, it’s lazily put together, brandy crafts a song PERFECTLY, with the vocal layering and control, to the point where ppl like Beyoncé and Rihanna site her as a inspiration. Brandy is what you call a singer's singer. Only people who understand the craft can really appreciate the greatness of her voice. In the musical community Brandy's name ALWAYS comes up. She has inspired so many of the runs that we hear today.

Brandy is amazing. I’ve always been a huge fan but the verzuz just ignited something and made me stan harder. She’s accomplished A LOT! I felt like I grew up with her. It also makes me miss Aaliyah even more. I really wish they’d release her music.

Big ups to them both. Both beautiful/talented! I hope Monica watches this, because before the verzus she stated that she would agree to do it if it was coming from a place of celebration not competition. However, that was not the vibe she gave and even appeared to be guarded. I thought Brandy was genuinely nervous and just trying to break the ice to what ever elephant was in the room.
I feel like other artists should listen to this.. she is very grounded
