This is what I like about Cambodia and most Asian countries. They have so much street foods day and nights. I now settled in Massachusetts and there is nothing like this here.

That is only Phnom Penh. Sihanoukville has amazing roads and pavement where one can actually walk. Siem Reap central areas also great roads and pavements.

Cambodia does have 7-11. First store opened couple years ago. Now every week new locations opens up. Sihanoukville has most per km, total 11. Phnom Penh has like 20-30 but not in city centre area yet that many. Siem Reap has couple too. Big C bought local convenience store chain few years ago. It was the biggest mart chain that time so that why you see Big C quite often in Phnom Penh central areas.

I visited Cambodia, both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, altogether for four weeks in early 2020. I agree that Cambodia's fantastic! I love the Khmer people. I still correspond with my favorite Phnom Penh tuk tuk driver, Nak, by WhatsApp. I'll be returning to Cambodia in February. I look forward to taking a side trip to Battambang upon my return.
Love your videos. For answering your questions about 7-11 and McDonald. There is plenty 7-11 in Cambodia you just at a location where there none. For McDonald's, it's because of their business model where McDonald's own the land and property of the restaurant and not the franchisee. In Cambodia, you need to be a national to own land.

In Phnom Penh, there are countless of good and high quality restaurants, khmer and international. I saw on RUclips, they showed only Cambodian people eating bugs, crickets and spiders. Those just Cambodian snacks, not all Cambodian people eat those.

Coming to cities in Southeast Asia, I advise you to wear team cotton clothes or a football shirt and shorts, it will not be very hot. 15 years ago, Phnom Penh didn't have many tall buildings, but the former prime minister of Cambodia came to the ASEAN Summit meeting in Pattaya and saw many tall buildings. He then announced that he wanted Phnom Penh to be like Pattaya, after which the Cabinet would start building high-rise buildings and a state bank. Most of the residences were inspired by the get design ideas of Thailand and China. 😊

Rulers like Suryavarman 2 and Jayavarman the 7th are from the Mahidharapura dynasty of Southern Isan ( Korat, Buriram, Surin, Si Saket) region. This is why Thailand prosper and Cambodia is poor.

Yeahhh 15 years ago we have nothing compared to Thailand it’s because of our people and no one else everyone works like cow just to can get money not only work of the country and also other countries those people r the reason why Cambodia can keep grow ,about the amount of high raising building are from international companies and nation companies we try so hard to make every investment believe on our country and no one r help but our people ,and most of the building r from the designer from western companies no one inspired from ur country 😅
