Great video Kev nice to see Claire taking part too… Something about your delivery in the videos that I like not arrogant or stuck up.. keep it up Oh and more content please 👍🤣
Great video Kev 👌 I love the way your informative and straight talking. I own a high mileage Evoque too although not quite as many miles as yours.. Good plan to get the cambelt, water pump done, I plan to get mine done soon. I'd be interested for you to check your fuel tank shield and straps.. my thought on the Haldex is if it ain't broke don't fix it. Apparently you can check the Haldex by jacking up a front wheel and gently trying to drive off. If the rear wheels dig in and grip and the car tries to drive off the jack you know your Haldex is good 🙂
Im inclined to agree with you on the Haldex James 👍Think I'll just wait for it to give up completely....not sure on jacking it up and trying to drive off 🥴🥴🥴🥴I'll check the straps out next time im underneath it and let you know 👍👍👍Thanks for the comment bud 👍
You're right Will theres no question....something is gonna go major style no doubt.........but whilst Claire is still loving it....I'll keep fixing it 👍👍👍
Great video fella, don’t worry about Gates belts, LR don’t make can belts, fan belts, serpentine belts, they use 3rd party OEM’s. Gates are very good, never had any issues with them. Cam belt kits normally come with water pump & idlers. Keep the faith, gearbox linkage, every now and then give the linkages a good dose of penetration oil.
Hi Kev and Claire love the videos keep up the good work. As for landrovers I have had freelander 2s and the one I have now I’ve had for 9 years I got it with 30k , it’s now done 185k and apart from the service items I’ve had a PTU unit, rear diff and I’ve serviced the Heldex every 30k. Best vehicle I have I have owned. I use to work for Landrover as a tech so cleaning the Heldex was never on landrovers service plan they say it’s a lifetime part 🥴 Best place to get advise and service is Bell Engerneering ( I’m nothing to do with Austin just get parts off them)
Its mega to hear good reliability stories on LR products Mark so thanks for commenting on yours 👍👍👍Ill gonna "let it develop" 🤪😜for a bit regarding Claires Haldex and see what happens....might have a go at doing it myself maybe....we will see 🤪🤪🤪Thanks for the advise, all the best, Kev.
Hi Kev/Claire. God this has been a Good Car so Far. Claire must feel Safe and Secure with the Rangy. I Remember when she saw the Car for the first time. She wouldn't get out of it lol. You can never ever Trade another one especially if its a 2014 or newer 😅. Because Kev she still loves the Range Rover. And as you said "Touch Wood" nothing has really happened to it. You got Lucky with this one. And Claire (the new boss) is so Happy with it. Happy all around.. 😅😅🇨🇮
Hey Liam, it's mega that you've been here long enough to have seen when that Evoque came in 👍👍👍Appreciate that.....you're right though, she didn't want to get out of it then and still doesn't now, the boss is happy 🤪🤪😜😜😜Nice one Liam, have a good weekend 👍👍
Hi kev and Claire and alfie ofcourse 😂gotta say that claire knew straight away when she saw and drove the evoke that she liked it and wanted it😁but apart from the stuff you did like cambelt etc it has done really well hasn't it,its funny watching you trying to track down the noise in the engine bay as i have a similar noise that i have no idea on and as a non mechanic i was wondering if i could send you the video ive taken of it to see if you can hear it and what it could possibly be but understand if thats not something you can do as i know you are always busy but thought it was worth an ask, have a great weekend guy's and see you in the next one🙂👍
Hey Mark, you're completely right Claire did love it straight away 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️You're more than welcome to send over a vid but not sure I'll be able to diagnose it over a video 🤪🤪🤪Always willing to try and help though for sure. 👍👍👍👍
Hi Kev and Claire 😃 I just love the way Claire came out and put her head over the engine and said I need a new battery lol So a new set of tyres, a new battery and a set of belts and maybe a water pump and tensioner. I think Claire is worth every penny Kev after all its her baby and we all remember the first time she saw the Range Rover and fell in love with it. Has Claire given the R|R a name 😂😂😂 I am now the proud owner of a 2016 Ford C-Max 1.5 tdci. My youngest son has taken my old faithful 1.8 Cmax to travel to and from work. Keep smiling Kev and Claire. Tom
Ha!!! Don't think its got a name Tom, Claire probably doesn't want to get too attached to it because she knows I'll end up selling it 🤪🤪🤪Im glad you kept the ole faithful Cmax in the family, such good cars for very little value.....I hope your new one returns such fond ownership 👍👍👍Have a great weekend Tom, nice one 👍👍👍
Hi kev and Claire great video, you can get a service kit for the haldex and change the oil, the kit includes filter, bolts and a few other bits it's not a hard job but depends on what series it is. I think you and Claire should have some sort of competition to see who's best at presenting a video!!!!😂😂😂
Hey Graham thanks for the tip, I'll look into that Haldex kit 👍👍A few people have said Claire should be the new face of the VP channel 😩😩😩think I may have lost my job 🤪🤪🤪🤪
Great video, love a Range Rover. We've had 3 over about 20 years - Classic 3.9V8, P38 4.6V8, L322 5.0V8 Supercharged all very reliable albeit with regular Land Rover servicing. Only switched to a Tesla as we wanted to go electric.
Great video! You two are a great couple. It’s lucky that you noticed that sound, price isn’t too bad, considering it’s a Land Rover product, though I would want to spend that much regularly on it :) I believe that you car is made in Halewood, but others around the world are made in India and China. I guess they are still owned by tata. Have a great weekend :)
Hey Andrew, Claire didn't want to get them done as she thinks getting new tyres too early is bad for the environment, she's right I suppose, bless her 😊😊😊
Thanks mate 👍👍Just put your ear up to your rear parking sensors when the car is in reverse, which ever one isn't clicking, that's your faulty sensor 👍👍👍👍
All the costs were already budgeted for ,so really it's just a headlight bulb.Do you think the new noise could be related to going through the floods !
Hey Karl, you know what, this new noise is an odd one, but I think the previous owner may have put a new clutch in it without doing the flywheel as well....hence it getting noisy....the clutch is fine so that would make sense. 😩😩😩
I nearly purchased one of these a couple of yrs ago. Ended up with an R-Line VW Tiguan 4motion instead. Might not have the comfort of a landy but reliability it does have..
That's interesting David as we've literally just had an R-Line Tig DSG just come in, proper cool car actually, alot firmer ride than I was expecting but who wants to drive round in a blancmange 👍👍👍👍👍
@@VisionPrestigeCars I gave the DSG model a miss and went for the manual. After I heard how much the DSG is to replace.. I thought..No lol. Great video by the way. Keep uploading and best wishes my friend 👍👍
Kev! How do you get away with it. "Clare, do you mind coming and looking inside this engine with your gym gear on so I can get some likes on RUclips". Honestly, absolutely shameless 😂😂 you two are gold, I do love a good Kev & Clare episode.
Ha!! 🤪🤪I have asked Claire to do more videos Paul but she doesn't really like being on film......I'll keep on the case though....she has said we could do an auction vid together so I'll make sure we do that 👍👍👍
Interesting. Strikes me as a non-expert that you could have done worse with any car of that age and mileage. PS future episodes....more auctions please plus what happened to Arthur Daley's Jag estate?
You're completely right mate, the ole girl is doing alright.....the Evoque aint bad either 🤪🤪🤪Funny you should ask about the Jag, it went out today even though a deposit was left on it weeks ago 🤪I'll try and get some more auction content up soon 👍👍👍

Don't think youre being totally fait with the Evoque as being at that mileage and knowing that it needed Cam belt, tyres, battery which is lets face it normal wear and tear items its a bullet we all have to bite. Van cost £1800. I am more than happy.
Hi William, thought I did say we knew it needed all that numerous times in the video 🥴🥴🥴just wanted to list it as we go along as I said I would 🤪🤪Glad your happy with the Caddy, love a Caddy van, let me ask you, would you have bought it with that mileage on and completed all that work if it was a 2.0TDI??? 🤔🤔🤔
@@VisionPrestigeCars Yes, That would have been my next choice of engine, But would have had the dpf and all that nonsense knocked out and mapped out. As long as a engine has been looked after and oil changed regularly I see no reason not to buy a high mileage van.
I reckon you're right mate, we've just bought one of the last 2.2's actually, 2015 Sd4 with only 47,000 miles and manual....that will be a great car for someone I have no doubt.......not sure how many other modern JLR products I could say that about 🤪🤪🤪
