- Welcome back to the channel for the third instalment of Claires high mileage Range Rover Evoque ownership adventures. I made it quite clear from the get go that I wasn't happy about owning her this car, but Claire loved this when it got part exchanged and wasn't crazy about the BMW 5 series I had planned for her, so the agreement was, if she got it, we would document its ownership.
Let's jump in to part 3.......it didn't get any cheaper.

I take it this is the 2.2litre. It's done well to get to that mileage and must have been well looked after. Sometimes you just feel so happy with a car you'd be happy to spend a few pounds to keep it rolling 😁 Not a bad thing Kev, given the legs on it the Evoque is serving Claire well. Good real life content too, smashing it 😀

Better the devil you know Kev than the one you dont! I have the same thoughts about my work Navara and my preferred RR sport, both cost a fortune to run and keep on the road.............but would I ditch them? naaaaaaaaaah lol
If Claire likes it why change. Yes it cost a lot to repair but it certainly does not look its age. In a newer car it would be full of bits and pieces which are now mandated but interfere with the enjoyment of driving a car. Enjoy it. 😀👍

For the happiest of your better half just pay to have it done in two days ! Besides your kids and her are your most valuable asset in life ! Happy Wife , Happy Life ! Some things are just not worth it ! Im 64 years old and my wife passed five years ago ! She had the safest Volvos ever made ! Only the best for my baby ! No kids . Expensive yes ! Well worth every penny !
My wife's 13 plate has 160000 still going strong, hopefully will for a while 👍

I won't even stock the Ingenium engined cars, its hard to believe how bad they are 🤪😩😩😩
In defence of the Ingenium engine, I have a 2016 Jaguar XE R Sport awd with that engine. Regular oil changes are key and no good if you only do very short journeys as the DPF will block. I have a 20 mile round trip commute which always gets the engine up to temperature. It’s only done 39,000 and I have the oil changed every 10,000. Jaguar recommend 21,000 or 2 years. It’s a lovely car, excellent in the snow. I bought it at 3 years old with 11,000 miles for £18k. It was £40k new, so a bargain. Had it over 5 years and can’t fault it. (Probably jinxed it now 😂)

Is it the 2.2d? If so the engines are good for well over 250k so long as you do the timing belts. Definitely don't buy the ingenium ones
150k miles isnt humongous to be fair.
But low mileage things can sh1t themselves also especially modern ad-blu equipped stuff.
£1400 is fair enough, accrue that over next 3 years and cross fingers

Good old Range Rover products!! In the 80s they would have been called a Skoda! not that a 80s Skoda was anywhere near as unreliable as Range Rovers. No wonder most counties have stopped buying them.
