The Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies are my favorite because they’re very classical films - from the music to the script, to the look of everything. The MCU films are great but they very obviously come from a different mold.
So, about the black suit. There’s actually a reason why the one in the film still has the web pattern, rather than being a solid black suit. Originally, there was a more comic accurate version made for the film, but when the cast and crew saw it, they were quick to point out that it looked like a cheap porno costume.
Just subscribed to you and was honestly thinking at first i wouldn't of enjoyed watching. But seeing people go back to these games even for just reviewing-.- its pretty dank. I still only ever played spiderman 2 for ths ps1 xD ;-; it was my fav..
All these years, I never knew about the Wii swinging mechanic. Not gonna lie, this video actually got me interested in playing that version just for that. No Spider-Man game ever managed to give that real feel of webswinging with your actual hands. Not even the VR attempts came close, and don't even get me started on the trigger system used in Amazing Spider-Man 2. It would be so cool if Insomniac actually managed somehow to give us a first person mode just for that experience to truly "fEeL LiKe SpIdEr-MaN".
I like how the background music you used when talking about the ps3,360, & PC versions you used the ps2 soundtrack and when you talked about the ps2, gba & so on you used the music from the ps3's, 360, & Pc's soundtrack.
I remember this being one of the first X360 games I had and I remember being blown away by how futuristic the text on screens like 4:55 looked. First of all, it was in 3D. Secondly, the gameplay was still present in the background, it wasn't its own menu! I just remember thinking it was really sleek.
I think they're supposed represent the Pterodax people from The New Animated Series that came out in 2003. But...they don't look like them and Pterodax was way cooler.

I find it funny that as I’m working on my Spider-Man game retrospective this pops up on my suggestion feed. This is such a great and funny video and I’d definitely suggest Spider-Man 2 on the psp. It’s like if the first movie game was made better but it was put on a portable system lol
I want to quote my favorite part of this video, but it was informative a bunch as well as hilarious to the point where I physically could not pick one. So I'll leave it at "This video is fucking gold" and hope thats enough. Toot toot apologetic warrior.
Just became a subscriber after watching the Sally Acorn video but man I love this video definitely got cracked up a few times but was just dying to see if you covered the Wii web swinging because despite initially being extremely annoying gives you more of a spiderman feeling and I always found that really cool. But yeah the games not great but I definitely beat it because spiderman.
I legitimately don't like any Spider-Man game (yes even Spider-Man 2) but the new Spider-Man game blew me away and it was literally the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time.
I'm going to try my hand at a longer comment about your videos, bear with me. I'll start off saying this one was really REALLY well done. you've improved a lot. better sound mixing and volume, a slightly better flow, video editing was spot on, and musical jingles were a really nice touch. in your Sonic Forces video where you said "Look at your leagecy and weep!" the joke was good, the sound was >_< gah. same with the Godzilla movie review at 14 47. with this one, it was smooth through out the whole thing. you flow seems like a next mix methodical pacing and passion. in between "winging it" and reading a script, sort of speak. your video editing, like I said, is spot on, for the picture quality itself. the musical jingles, AMAZING. the Ninja Turtles thing was... Golden. the MJ's music with the lizard turning around, also Very nice. when they're sprinkled though out the video, it knocks on that nostalgic. it kinda sounds like you got a new mic? or have it positioned better? maybe? idk. I'll have to watch your old ones listen very carefully to compare. you also have a nice voice (no homo). also-also, having the background for the game you're covering is a nice touch. it drives the theme home. the ending clips have potential. right now, 7...7.5 out of 10. when you did Toot Toot Sonic Warriors Toot Toot in Sonic CD, best line every. that was a nice reference in this one. now for my thought on how you could improve because.... eh why not? more poses of your dude, maybe? and/or more of him layered over cutscenes? ya know, like for example, you could have your guy point at something that's going on in the cutscene or gameplay. idk, I'm sure someone reading on this will expand. I'm kinda doing this off the top of my head. another thing, have you thought of updating your youtube banner or youtube icon? I think the banner you have now would look good as the icon and a new banner would be nice. maybe have it with your top series or series you've covered and update the banner with every new topic/series you do. like what Nintendo did when they introduced new characters, they slowly added them to the Big Picture of playable characters. or have the banner with a cool yet simple design? *shrug* idk, just thinking out loud. now for some good ol' fashion Q's. have you thought about doing a patreon? are you going to be covering Godzilla 2000? are you going to do other counter-reviews, like your IGN one or was that a one time thing? I'm not for or against it, just wondering. were you the one who drew the spiderman 3 thumbnail? that sketch is a 10 out of 10. would you do that for each video from now on? the other was are amazing, don't get me wrong. that have a nice POP, eye catching, bright color feel for them. this spiderman 3 one, it's more artistic and personalized. do you have a team helping you with the videos or is it just you? either way, major props!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOO!!!!! (note to self; don't forget to add something clever and funny before hitting Send)
Hey Joseph! Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad some improvements are shining through. I keep trying to learn a little bit more with each video I create. Trust me, the stuff you pointed out has been noticed by me too. I am ashamed to admit that sometimes I get to a point where I just need to put the video out, even though I could spend another dozen hours tweaking it. Problem is I have a full time job that demands a lot of my off time, so I scrape together what I can, and to answer one of your other questions, yes I am doing the editing, scripting, art, all of it. I would love to do a patreon, but I just don't think I can justify that right now. I just don't put up enough videos and while I love you guys, unfortunately the audience isn't there. Not yet anyway. It's my ultimate dream to make a living from creating things. So if this channel keeps growing and becoming something, the more time and effort I can and will put into improving each episode. As for the episode construction, I don't know if I'll do more counter-reviews. I felt pretty icky making that last one, I feel like I'm stirring up drama even if it's with someone who will never see my video. I might bring out more for examples every now and then, but the ultimate point of the show is just to let people have a good time and challenging the audience (and in a lot of cases, myself) with a different perspective. So you probably won't see more of that style of video. Then again, I never planned that one, so who knows! Now that I have an art set up again, I'd like to do my own thumbnails. I don't know if I'll have the time, but I love doing that a lot more than scrapping together stuff. Alright! Hope that answered a bunch! Thanks again for watching and leaving the feedback, man! Always enjoy reading what you got to say.
I have a few more things to add. can you read something in your About Me tab on youtube? I think it's pretty cool that you're active on facebook and do previews. I see some videos have hashtags, have you thought of doing it too? I don't know how those work, I just see em from time to time. I really enjoy watching you're videos, just as much as Some-call-me-Johnny and the Completionist. y'all do pretty much everything. channels like Game Grumps and Game Theory, they have a team. with y'all doing all the work, MAJOR PROPS!!! and remember, it took Some-call-me-johnny and the Completionist about 3 years before they picked up speed. your video quality is wayyyy better in your first few videos then theirs. ideas for videos (based on what you've already done)- Godzilla 2000, TMNT 3, any Godzilla game, Sonic 3 & knuckles, any Jurassic Park game like Genisis, and idk.... psp??? a game console that had everything going for it but... failed I like how your videos are mature yet family friendly.... while being a natural conversation... and not making the family friendly so obvious, like game theory ps- I hate how the camera shifts during combat in the PS4 game. I've died more from the camera shifting, making me dodge INTO an attack, then littarly anything. it always with the same big, broad shoulders, thug.
Man I miss all these different versions of games, it was so cool to buy different versions and get slightly different stories every time, my favorite was definitely the Force unleashed, the wii, ps3/Xbox, and ds versions all told completely different stories
I think you're right with liking the game. I was only 5 years old when the movie and game and it was my favorite movie as a kid and one of my favorite games as a kid. Spiderman 2 on gamecube was still my favorite but Spiderman 3 will always have a special place in my heart

Dude this editing style is so fucking funny I’m subbing just for that lol
7:34 is an absolutely perfect intro. Inspired.
14:54 Eric Forman is angry at Hyde for taking his camera
I like how the background music you used when talking about the ps3,360, & PC versions you used the ps2 soundtrack and when you talked about the ps2, gba & so on you used the music from the ps3's, 360, & Pc's soundtrack.
Oh man, I really enjoyed the video 😂
That ending with nick Miller from new was hilarious bro superb job
I remember this being one of the first X360 games I had and I remember being blown away by how futuristic the text on screens like 4:55 looked.
First of all, it was in 3D. Secondly, the gameplay was still present in the background, it wasn't its own menu! I just remember thinking it was really sleek.
Ps2 and PSP were my favorite versions. Played the hell outta em
I think they're supposed represent the Pterodax people from The New Animated Series that came out in 2003.
But...they don't look like them and Pterodax was way cooler.
I never made that connection! that's probably right, man that show was criminally short.
@@axian8102 Yeah, and I suppose you could say the Sable Agents from Spider-Man PS4 were also based on them and Pterodax but more built and expanded upon.
@@kalide1704 i thought the same thing as a kid but was never 100% sure
Good video. The reason I'm going to share with everyone I know is the very end with the dude from New Girl dubbed over it. I was laughing way too hard
Revisiting these videos after years is kinda fun lol
ty for being the only RUclipsr who references new girl I love you
I used to play the ps2 version, although it wasn’t as cool as Ultimate and Spidey 2, but i actually enjoyed it. Heck, I even had the patience to find all of the SPIDEY emblems just so I could use the black suit again
I find it funny that as I’m working on my Spider-Man game retrospective this pops up on my suggestion feed. This is such a great and funny video and I’d definitely suggest Spider-Man 2 on the psp. It’s like if the first movie game was made better but it was put on a portable system lol
The Spiderman theme and the ginger bread both rhyme man with can. Now this is in your brain now.
great video, do more like this please! :D
16:02 That Power Rangers reference was so on point! Lol!
28:32 I think this is the best thing to come out of Spider-Man 3
I want to quote my favorite part of this video, but it was informative a bunch as well as hilarious to the point where I physically could not pick one.
So I'll leave it at "This video is fucking gold" and hope thats enough.
Toot toot apologetic warrior.
I had so much fun as a kid with the Wii version
"Hey Spider-Man!"
"It's Spider- MA'AM!"
It was so great to see a Spidey game review that remembers how awesome Ultimate and Web of Shadows were
I played the PS2 version. Its fun when i was a kid. I might play the game again because its a lot of fun
7:34 had me in tears🤣🤣🤣
I legitimately don't like any Spider-Man game (yes even Spider-Man 2) but the new Spider-Man game blew me away and it was literally the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time.
I was so let down by SM3. After 2 and USM, I was so stoked for a next gen Spider-Man game...but oh boy
What about Web Of Shadows.
@@dericjames2018 that's a underated masterpiece
@@gamebond6248 I still have Web Of Shadows for the Wii lets you play ass Spider-Carnage.
I really enjoy watching you're videos, just as much as Some-call-me-Johnny and the Completionist. y'all do pretty much everything. channels like Game Grumps and Game Theory, they have a team. with y'all doing all the work, MAJOR PROPS!!! and remember, it took Some-call-me-johnny and the Completionist about 3 years before they picked up speed. your video quality is wayyyy better in your first few videos then theirs.
ideas for videos (based on what you've already done)- Godzilla 2000, TMNT 3, any Godzilla game, Sonic 3 & knuckles, any Jurassic Park game like Genisis, and idk.... psp??? a game console that had everything going for it but... failed
I like how your videos are mature yet family friendly.... while being a natural conversation... and not making the family friendly so obvious, like game theory
ps- I hate how the camera shifts during combat in the PS4 game.
5:57, how can a channel with such jokes have so few subscribers? This guy is hilarious
Hentai-bombers
*NO*
I've played this game 3 times and i still love the graphics and the characters, but over all i still love ❤spiderman 3.
This was satisfying as it really felt cool to hear complaints I had as a kid were agreed with
I remember playing a mobile version of Spiderman 3 before smartphones existed.
17:53 I meeeeean, The New Animated Series counts in my eyes. Those were Raimi’s interpretations in my eyes, even if they weren’t his directly
I had this game for the Wii when it first came out and I remember reluctantly telling myself "I have to beat it so I can never think about it again"
I love when RUclips recommends me a year old video about an 11 more years old collection of games
Do more, these are great!
Have anything specific you'd like to see?
Game Apologist I’ve always been curious about the old Matrix games, would definitely be interesting to see you talk about it. I’ve heard they were pretty bad despite the incredible potential.
I loved this game as a kid, I remember playing it tons on the Wii.
I was planning on getting the PC version but it wasn't on Steam.
I had fun playing this game. It was entertaining. So for me it's a good game.
thanks for the video
You're welcome!
