Most of the time I spent testing the pack I just got lost looking at all the beautiful sights. The shaders do a lot of work, but they are helped by other mods too. BiomesO'Plenty and a few other mods add a ton of variety to the plants and biomes to explore (around 100 different unique biomes). Also very important is the mod Quark which tweaks biome colors to make everything look more green and alive.
Vintage Story is a game that is based off of Terrafirma; and it is it's own game. Still in Beta, but has more content than Minecraft already. It is super super fun survival!
Oh boy, I feel like I’ve just aged 10 years seeing this. I remember watching the first episode of the first season the very first day it came out and loving it to bits. Now that I think about it I realize I’ve been watching you for more than half of my life, which is so crazy. Here’s to many, many more years of Etho!

Ethos, you should try to take advantage of those underground rock golems and how they attack other mobs and figure out a early simple mob farm. That cave is a PERFECT start to a mob farm already. It's a flat and only 4 blocks tall. 80% of building the farm is already done by the natural generation of the cave
Not to mention if he just has a cart hopper system or possibly a modded way to gather items it’s fully automated since those mobs will keep spawning even if some of them die from the other mobs
Even if a mob farm with the golem wouldn't work it should with regular or alternative methods that are probably simpler. Thinking about it, the golem might be hard to keep from getting hit. Maybe his reach could be taken advantage of though.
@@overlord-6644 that sounds like a great idea, even if it isn't the most efficient possible for a mob farm he would be able to create his own design of a mob farm different than anyone else has made previously. The design process would be fun

Just a small tip: you can place your backpack in a curio slot, it's the small ring on the top-left of your charachter window, they work just like bauble slots in 1.12

From the sound it made, I believe it was a Cachalot Whale from Alex's Mobs. It's understandable that he'd ignore it if he's familiar with the mod (such as while testing the pack out before starting the series), since they aren't really useful when first starting a playthrough (and they don't attack you unless you hurt them first).
Hey Etho just a couple points of advice The default handle you get with Tetra is worse than wood and different types of planks have different stats You can equip the backpack as a bauble so it doesn't use the armor slot Also you should probably add whatever the WAILA equivalent is for 1.16 that adds a lot of helpful tool tips including what mod adds what
i personally really don't like these WAILA sort of mods. so much clutter :-/ i'd rather explore and learn myself. takes away a lot of the exploration fun for me
Just as a random small note: I'm used to every minecrafter I watch on youtube using Sildur's shaders, and as someone who really likes complementary shaders myself, I had a tiny lil' fan moment seeing Etho use complementary too 😄

For tetra weapons, i recommend slotting in a pristine lapis to make honing easier (unnecessary for tools, since it's easier to train them), until you maxed it. Also swapping parts removes enchants, so I do recommend enchanting before tetra-ing. In fact I would even recommend getting your weapons with the best material in your pack first, enchant and then tetra it.

It's so strange knowing that the previous "Etho's Modded Minecraft" started out nearly 7 years ago, I remember watching it when it was still coming out! Early 2015 I had practically just started high school, now I have graduated college and I'm working in the industry I've always wanted to work in, while still looking forward to each new Etho video coming out :)

Man, wow. I watched the first series back when I was still in school, lived at home, just started my job, was lonely and depressed. Now, I just moved into my brand new house with my wife and 6 month old son and I’m very happy and in a manager position at my job, time flies. Still love me some Minecraft

Hey Etho, really love this new video, brings back a lot of nostalgia remembering your original modded series! Did you know if you click the silver circle on the top left of your inventory it'll open up a sort of accessories menu. You can place the backpack on your back without having to sacrifice your chest plate and continue to access it with ctrl+e !
I'm really glad that you're channel is still thriving as much as it is. I started watching your videos when I was I think 12? Maybe 13. I turn 20 in less than a month. I haven't watched a video in a couple years honestly since I don't play minecraft really anymore, so it was a pleasant surprise to see your video pop up in my recommended. You should see some old modded videos. James Charles and Mr Beast used to BEG Etho to upload more. He has that kind of charm and video consistency like no one I've ever seen.

For me, it was terrafirmapunk, but those mods were so unstable, but Etho was able to make the best of all of those mods. You can even see his terrafirmapunk buildings in his LP even

Etho holy crap, so excited for this series. Been waiting for you to do a modded playhtrough for ages, hope you enjoy it! Given how long you tend to play each world, I suggest you add some QoL mods such as WAYLA/One Probe, Veinminer and especially some sort of inventory manager like AE2 or RS. Refined Storage is amazing in 1.16, you could really get deep into that and do some fun automation.
Etho you’ve been such a consistent quality content creator for as long as I can remember. Love to see you introducing new series that spark your interests.

I assume he decided to not include those mods for fun. Etho's definitely the type of guy that likes to pique his curiosity instead of being handed the answer straight away.
@@Klffsj I can see that and I definitely support that playstyle if that's what he's going for. I think The One Probe is a good compromise here because he can make it so he has to be holding the probe to see the HUD element. It would be good for those "What the _heck_ is _that_?!" moments.
If you’re using the complementary shaders, I’d recommend turning off the cloud shaders so they’re blocky. It’s more beautiful and consistent with the theme of Minecraft IMO

There's some really interesting biomes in biomes'o'plenty, I would suggest exploring further. Also some cool biomes are the pine forest and the cherry blossom forest

i personally really don't like these WAILA sort of mods. so much clutter :-/ i'd rather explore and learn myself. takes away a lot of the exploration fun for me
definitely second a WAILA-type mod; it's super-handy for anyone who's playing along to be able to see the names they need to search in JEI
Even if WAILA isn't necessary for Etho, I think it would probably help a lot as a viewer, especially if it's a mod I haven't heard from

Just as a random small note: I'm used to every minecrafter I watch on youtube using Sildur's shaders, and as someone who really likes complementary shaders myself, I had a tiny lil' fan moment seeing Etho use complementary too 😄

For tetra weapons, i recommend slotting in a pristine lapis to make honing easier (unnecessary for tools, since it's easier to train them), until you maxed it. Also swapping parts removes enchants, so I do recommend enchanting before tetra-ing. In fact I would even recommend getting your weapons with the best material in your pack first, enchant and then tetra it.

It's so strange knowing that the previous "Etho's Modded Minecraft" started out nearly 7 years ago, I remember watching it when it was still coming out! Early 2015 I had practically just started high school, now I have graduated college and I'm working in the industry I've always wanted to work in, while still looking forward to each new Etho video coming out :)

I started watching way back when crash landing was a new series. I'm so glad to be back and I'm so glad you're still around. You were one of my idols as a child and I still love you and your content today. Thank you for everything you've made and all of the things that your videos have helped get me through. And yes Etho you are still my favorite guy.

Man, wow. I watched the first series back when I was still in school, lived at home, just started my job, was lonely and depressed. Now, I just moved into my brand new house with my wife and 6 month old son and I’m very happy and in a manager position at my job, time flies. Still love me some Minecraft

Hey Etho, really love this new video, brings back a lot of nostalgia remembering your original modded series! Did you know if you click the silver circle on the top left of your inventory it'll open up a sort of accessories menu. You can place the backpack on your back without having to sacrifice your chest plate and continue to access it with ctrl+e !

You should see some old modded videos. James Charles and Mr Beast used to BEG Etho to upload more. He has that kind of charm and video consistency like no one I've ever seen.
@@ChauNyan do you have any recommendation? I usually don't watch modded series esp the ones with too much overpowered stuff/machines on it, but I'm ok with mods that feels natural to the game (such as this one so far and Beef's Life in the Woods series)

This was legendary. I watched all of season 1, and it is still one of my favorite series you've ever done.
For me, it was terrafirmapunk, but those mods were so unstable, but Etho was able to make the best of all of those mods. You can even see his terrafirmapunk buildings in his LP even

Given how long you tend to play each world, I suggest you add some QoL mods such as WAYLA/One Probe, Veinminer and especially some sort of inventory manager like AE2 or RS. Refined Storage is amazing in 1.16, you could really get deep into that and do some fun automation.
Etho you’ve been such a consistent quality content creator for as long as I can remember. Love to see you introducing new series that spark your interests.

I assume he decided to not include those mods for fun. Etho's definitely the type of guy that likes to pique his curiosity instead of being handed the answer straight away.

@@Klffsj I can see that and I definitely support that playstyle if that's what he's going for. I think The One Probe is a good compromise here because he can make it so he has to be holding the probe to see the HUD element. It would be good for those "What the _heck_ is _that_?!" moments.
@@huantian Mod Name Tooltip isnt neccesary since F3+H exists, which shows mod name and item tags already
If you’re using the complementary shaders, I’d recommend turning off the cloud shaders so they’re blocky. It’s more beautiful and consistent with the theme of Minecraft IMO

There's some really interesting biomes in biomes'o'plenty, I would suggest exploring further. Also some cool biomes are the pine forest and the cherry blossom forest
