You can make the alexs mobs book that gives some nice info on the mobs in a vanilla way. And shows you some cool items like maracas from the rattle and some boots that give speed on sand
Yes, Alex mobs is a gem, full of interesting stuff, like the elytra with desert flies, and you can actually use the crows to pick up stuff and bring it in an inventory (I've made a crows based crop farm early game, and it was a lot of fun)
8:05 That's a shoebill stork! It's a real bird and it's still alive today. Its clicking noise is incredibly loud in real life, similar in volume and pitch to gunfire.
I appreciate the speeding up of the walking/exploring at the start rather than jump cuts because the scenery is different to normal minecraft and very pretty:)
I don't know why but something about this series just makes me happy, like a cup of cocoa with something weird and amazing in it that you can't quite identify but you want to drink gallons of it. It's also a beautiful world, love the shaders (I tried them and my pc started smoking lol), the ambient noises, and of course thank you Etho for charging into the Wilds and letting us tag along. The house is so cute, and yet again you've reminded me that Minecraft can be fun, and that one should play in a way that makes them happy.
I am currently 21 years old. haven't played or watched minecraft in years but will alwyas come back to Etho,I love the genuine style and no clickbait, he doesnt even ask for likes. This series has caught my attention a LOT, im looking forward to the next video and check the channel daily to see if Etho uloaded it. Another comment mentioned that discovering the modpack with you makes it very entertaining. and I completely agree. Keep doing what you do Etho. I appreciate you! I rarely leave comments on videos but you hold a special place in my heart. Sending love from The Netherlands. :) also how is your sleeping pattern? dont want to be rude but you used to mention it in your videos.
This was so peaceful to watch, I really enjoyed it, Etho! Seeing you roam and explore the beautiful world and listening to your voice paired with birdsong, it's such a pleasurable experience :> The build is simply gorgeous! I love how organic and natural it is, its colours are lovely and complement those of its surroundings! I know a little bit about Japanese architecture and I think you did a good job of keeping the theme with the Japanese elements, while also having your unique style show; overall it's such a beautiful build! The organic shape, leaves, and earthy wood colours have a strong element of nature, and as you said, the blue roof does look great with the cherry blossoms in the background! I love the lanterns, they quite literally let the shaders shine, and those shaders beautify your build even further by drawing out its colours, and having soft touches of shadow with bright areas of light! Something else I love about the colour palette of your base is the contrast; the deep blue of the roof and warm orange of the details, the white and dark brown in the paper walls, as well as the tones of the varying structure blocks; the pale walls against the dark roof, the different saturations, how it's darker toward the bottom of the build and gets brighter as it goes up, but is balanced by the deep colour of the roof; and how it isn't too strong in contrast or saturation keeps it soft and pleasant to look at! The structure itself is magnificent; I love the depth you added with the paper walls, fences, hanging lanterns, pathways, height, structure support, slabs, stairs, and such! Yet again, it's kind of hard for me to figure out where you did the terraforming, haha, you did such a good job! :) Fun fact: Tatami mats are used in the floors of traditional Japanese homes, and shoes and slippers aren't worn while standing on them. Another reason to take off your shoes before entering your home! ^-^ I have a question if you don't mind answering, though you totally don't have to; How did you learn colour theory? Your colour palettes are truly beautiful, and I'd love to learn more about it so I can appreciate them even more. But thank you so much for this episode! I'd like to make this comment longer but I should rest my hand as it was hurting earlier, but know that you make my life happier! Love you, Etho!

You hit the nail on the head with that one! I actually looked at the video to make sure it really was 40minutes because it felt like 15. Man I hope etho keeps having fun and continues the series
One thing they don't mention about the create saw. It's great to carry with you with a hand crank. Then when exploring you can knock down trees with ease. Saves time and tool durability. If a tree is being stubborn, just take one piece of log and place it on the ground in front of the tree.
This house already looks so amazing! I’m so excited to watch this series as it goes on. Season 1 was one of my favourite minecraft series ever and I’ve been looking forward to this since PO2 ended. Thanks for the entertainment ergo! :)

Woah this is gonna be really cool! Although I got burned out on the create mod, I think it’s really cool functionally while remaining visually very appealing! I can already imagine some steampunk-y edo period style buildings with gears and stuff
Etho your new house looks AMAZING! One of my all time favourite houses (With rooftops) that you've ever constructed! I love seeing you experiment with new styles.
i really love the feeling the house gives off - i especially liked the scene when you stood more in the shade of trees, that deck looks fits so good! thank you for the video!

Hey Etho, check out the Rotational Bearing from Create. It makes a nice one-switch tree farm that you can plant a bunch of saplings in and forget for a while. Also check out the Harvester Ponder page (the last scene, I think) for a better idea of what I mean. You can build it like that, but with saws.
I just wanted to say how much I love the editing style on these videos. The occasional quick cuts and sped up sections mean there’s no points in the video that feel drawn out or dull, while also not making it seem like stuff has been cut out. Really great to see :D
You’re my favorite Minecraft RUclipsr. The only og one I still watch. You’ve adapted very well keep up the great work! I always get my snacks to watch your vids
The house is stunning! When you’re looking at it in 38:05 from on that hill, how do you feel about adding a little water feature on that left side, a pond or maybe even a little waterfall coming down from the hill like a mineral spring? I’m also really excited to see what you do with create. I actually just started playing a modpack that uses it and I’ve been totally stumped figuring out how to power the rotation (the in-game wiki doesn’t seem to mention it) so the encased fan was a revelation to me!
Etho, for more rotational power try using a water wheel or windmill, those are the 2 best early game sources of create power. In the late game the furnace generator is your friend (there is a trick where if you pull the item you are smelting in and out of the furnace with a chute and a fan you will never use up the item meaning all you need is furnace fuel. Automating charcoal works for this). To make things spin faster either use a rotational speed controller or chain big and small cogs together. Additionally, I would recommend looking into setting up a tree farm with a minecart contraption or a gantry carriage (this option is likely better for early game when iron is tight). These are easier to set up on scale compared to mechanical pistons.
As I get older, the comfort that Etho’s videos bring me are as they were when I was younger. Thank you for your hard work and friendly spirit. I wish you continuous well being for you and the people close to you.
I know right, I was practically hollering through the screen at Etho about the diamonds in the chest, like five minutes later he finally mentions them 😆
That backpack is sweet...I so wish it were in vanilla. Also, I hear a lot of players talk about getting lost in caves...if you make a habit of placing all torches going into a cave or mine to the left then as you head back to the exit all torches will be to the right...and you'll know it's alright to get out that way.
I really like seeing the sped-up full walk you take when you go exploring, when you cut that in other series I always wonder about where you go and how long it takes and what you see
So pumped for this series. I've been watching a long time and I really think the shaders give it a fresh new feel but with the same ole' etho. Keep it up!

The same goes for me, the new series started just at the right time. Thank you so much, Etho!
If I could ever buy a plot of land, I will hire Etho to design my house.
Better get to it!
Lots are going up pretty fast and being bought fast.
Or at least where I am at in the US.
It would never get finished.
I hope it doesn't rain where you live, because you might not have a roof.
@@chastermief839 When I was living with my parents the roof right above my bunk was leaking all the time. We just taped a plastic sheet over it and had it run into a plastic tub.
Long time fan from the ancient days here, and this new series is by far my favourite. The moment he pointed out there wasn’t any extra GUI like the Minimap, that was the selling point for me. I’m a firm believer of no gui = better immersion.
Thank you Etho, please keep this adventure going~
I'm glad its not overly striving for realism like terrafirmacraft was, that gets tiring after a while
@@balance2599 absolutely! This is why I’m a game developer hahaha I loved playing vanilla Minecraft and TerraFirma a lot, and always wanted to make my own version. Etho’s mods here are pretty damn close to perfect imo
@@ENDESGA I wholly agree, great balance between a modded feel yet retaining that feeling of OG Minecraft and not a like whole new game
This pack looks absolutely gorgeous. This series is already such a delight!
I'm so addicted because it's ethos and it's modded and it looks so damn gorgeous. I hope he gets addicted and churns out the episodes quickly 😂😂
I'm so happy this series is back
Why is Donald Trump pretty and I am not? But why does he only have a wife but I have TWO HANDSOME GIRLFRIENDS who I show off in my masterpiece YT videos? Do you know the answer, dear em
My building style feels validated, I tried doing the "plan everything out before you commit" method just yesterday and I got so frustrated with how it was turning out. I enjoyed the process and the result way better when I did it in chunks like what you're doing!
Tonight is the last night that I spend in my room at my parents’ house before I move away to live on my own. I started watching your videos sitting in this room almost 10 years ago. It’s amazing how much has happened since then. Thank you for all your videos man, they’ve been a consistent comfort for a huge part of my life.
I love this guy, idk if it’s just me but his voice just sounds so nice and wholesome
8:05 That's a shoebill stork! It's a real bird and it's still alive today. Its clicking noise is incredibly loud in real life, similar in volume and pitch to gunfire.
literally the best animal
@@scully00 I would've agreed in a world where bearded vultures and Honduran white bats weren't a thing
I appreciate the speeding up of the walking/exploring at the start rather than jump cuts because the scenery is different to normal minecraft and very pretty:)
i like this base A LOT. Now I'm inspired to make something based on this in vanilla with amethyst blocks & acacia
It's great to see Etho so excited with a series.
Love that profile picture
I love how etho is so out of his comfort zone, and he's trying to learn everything about this new world lol 😂
This was so peaceful to watch, I really enjoyed it, Etho! Seeing you roam and explore the beautiful world and listening to your voice paired with birdsong, it's such a pleasurable experience :>
The build is simply gorgeous! :)
Fun fact: Tatami mats are used in the floors of traditional Japanese homes, and shoes and slippers aren't worn while standing on them. Another reason to take off your shoes before entering your home! ^-^
I have a question if you don't mind answering, though you totally don't have to; How did you learn colour theory? Your colour palettes are truly beautiful, and I'd love to learn more about it so I can appreciate them even more. But thank you so much for this episode! I'd like to make this comment longer but I should rest my hand as it was hurting earlier, but know that you make my life happier! Love you, Etho!
I luv etho
Ooga booga house pretty lmao
Ten years ago, my brother found your channel. We would sit and binge watch your videos, I remember I was always in awe as Minecraft was super new to me, and being able to watch someone create things was amazing. Thanks for keeping the content lively for the past FOURTEEN YEARS NOW! It’s incredible how far you’ve come. Thanks for all the amazing memories :) Happy New Years to everyone!
The fact this was uploaded so soon after the last one gives me hope.
I was prepared to wait a week minimum between episodes 😅
You know a series is good when 40 minutes feels like 20.
Great job on the tree farm Etho! Its interesting to watch someone well versed in redstone logic their way through Create piece by piece for the first time.
Hey Rage! You’re totally right. After playing through create AB, watching Etho dabble with create is very entertaining.
It’s incredible how Etho manages to find the most random stuff and make it all work together while laughing and just having a good time
Etho with back to back(relatively at least) episode releases must be a a good omen for 2022
:O That mansion looks beautiful! Seriously one of my favorite Etho buildings in terms of aesthetics
Etho, I would love to see a huge custom tree using the pink leaves in front of the base! Love the colour palette you have chosen, it looks great.
That ending went from 0 to 100 real fast, love the look of the house so far
Love the new modded series Etho!!!
This modpack is gorgeous looking! Man I love how relaxed I get when I listen to your voice as you're exploring the uncharted and building your amazing house. Keep up the good work Etho! Great vid, as usual!
I’d love to see that base reclaimed and slowly upgraded over each episode
Woah this is gonna be really cool! Although I got burned out on the create mod, I think it’s really cool functionally while remaining visually very appealing! I can already imagine some steampunk-y edo period style buildings with gears and stuff
Etho you keep saying that you’re cheesing these tasks but you’re really just making 200iQ plays
That house looks incredible I love the colors can't wait to see it when it's complete
Etho your new house looks AMAZING! One of my all time favourite houses (With rooftops) that you've ever constructed! I love seeing you experiment with new styles.
Etho, I really like how you narrate your building. It's super helpful to see the thought process when you build and I enjoy watching you do it!
I just can't wait to see what Etho does with the create mod once he gets a handle on it!
Omg etho has been spitting out a lot of content lately it's good to see him back at things
Thanks for your saliva Etho!
i really love the feeling the house gives off - i especially liked the scene when you stood more in the shade of trees, that deck looks fits so good! thank you for the video!
Really love it when Etho is really motivated by a new series! Great to see a new episode so soon, keep it up Etho!
Etho: "Im not sure if this going to look good... im just kind of messing around"
Also Etho: *creates an incredibly unique base with an incredible composition which doesnt subscribe to any previously seen themes and is in itself a work of art*
Etho: "mmmmm im not sure how to feel about this"
Etho has grown so much as a builder. That house looks fantastic! I love modded Minecraft and I love Etho so I'm very excited for this series!
This series has me checking my notifications every few hours for the next episode! I’m super hyped for new modded minecraft!
I LOVE the ambient animal sounds. Makes it feel so alive.
Water wheels are the best early-game power source
Never knew I'd be into modded Minecraft like that, but your videos are just so enjoyable and comfy, I love every second of them
As I get older, the comfort that Etho’s videos bring me are as they were when I was younger. Thank you for your hard work and friendly spirit. I wish you continuous well being for you and the people close to you.
AHH, the house is looking so beautiful! I'm so hyped for all this - and the colour palette is so beautiful.
Anyone else love how he keeps the hating diamonds thing going for so long?
And the way he predicted something he would do in vanilla 9 years later with the blue fire.
I absolutely love the new base. So cool looking, excited to see where it goes
I really like seeing the sped-up full walk you take when you go exploring, when you cut that in other series I always wonder about where you go and how long it takes and what you see
Anyone else is like 20+ and still enjoying him playing? I do
The house looks amazing already - actually class
This series is amazing so far! Etho playing create is like a dream come true
I'm legit checking ethos profile every hour or so, even tho i have notifications
So pumped for this series. I've been watching a long time and I really think the shaders give it a fresh new feel but with the same ole' etho. Keep it up!
Etho is heading into the new year strong with this series!!
I thought the Hermits were having a vacation but, you're going on the overdrive with these uploads. Take care, Etho. You are appreciated
Wow what a crazy cool base. Easily one of his best builds imo
Man I’m glad Etho is having so much fun with the modpack! You can tell he’s really enjoying himself!
Etho is the best OG minecrafter
I grew up with the first modded Minecraft series, so happy for another!
I love how the house is looking so far! I reckon adding a koi/fish pond at the front will look really nice as well when you get to landscaping.
I honestly don’t mind watching you collect ores 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t think it’s a waste of time. I enjoy watching cave exploring and material collecting and you could even do a Q&A during that time or talk about future builds you have in mind etc.
Thank you for this new series! ❤️
I love this base, it feels like Etho's Von Sway has been leading up to this
I think this series is one of the best Christmas gifts I've gotten this year!
As someone who’s an avid gardener and interested in botany and stuff I love Minecraft mods that add plant life like this. So fun.
This mod pack is so gorgeous, it’s just fun to watch everything. And I *love* the base build, that is looking amazing!
what is the name of the mod dude?
@ it’s a whole pack he put together himself - I’m pretty sure he listed them all in the description on his first vid
