- Welcome back to Pro Shop. This time I build my first ever titanium exhaust for the RBEH. From the turbo flange right through to the muffler this lightweight metal is amazing to work with.

Fast becoming my favourite channel!! Almost as fast as an EH with an RB26...
Thanks Geoff
Love your artwork/ skill
Cheers Mark
Awesome work man, very enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers
Thanks mate
You really are something special. So precise and such great detail. I only wish I could have you finish my eh ute. There is no one in FNQ. who comes close to your standards. Keep up the great work Pete. 👍👍
Thanks Mark. Really appreciate the comment
Excellent work !
Thanks Mick
nice clean fabrication , really enjoy watching things built from scratch
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing work as Usual Pete. Love the colours Titanim gives off when heated.
Thanks Gavin. Yeah the colours is what sold it for the customer too
Beautiful work (as always) Pete. Please make sure we see a bit of the welding process! Do you need to "purge" Titanium? How does it weld compared to SS? Cheers mate.
Thanks Bill. Once I’ve finished the fuel tank I’ll fully weld the exhaust and do a video on it. It seams really nice to weld. Very much like stainless. Definitely needs to be purged and needs a lot of post flow too.
Beautiful workmen ship as always love watching your videos. I’m a little special lol when I was 20 leaving a 21st birthday party I was a little stoned and pissed come off my dirty dirt bike up in bush on the Qld border no helmet on I hit a tree 🌲 wrecked my bike woke up beside the bike the next afternoon somehow I walked the rest of way home 2 ks and they air lifted me to Brisbane hospital and I woke up again with titanium plates in my head .. I’m nearly 45 and I don’t get headaches anymore but I have a Constant ringing in my left ear I survived I have left frontal lobe damage but I’m like Arnold Schwarzenegger now 😂😂😂 I’m a titanium special lol
Wow! What a story! Glad you survived. Did you ever think of having a career in the UFC? You’d never get knocked out!
@@ProShop1 😜😜😜 it’s been a wild life I’m looking at getting my super and TPD pay out as I been a panel beater since 15 years old all the parties have taken its toll I need a small block with a shed to finish my own cars TD cortina a EH ute and a xh xr6 Ute and a 98 vs Ute then I’ll Cruze the Goldcoast and eventually die happy 🤨😃
Great work as always Pete.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey mate great work! No criticism, but can i just ask why you didn’t just have the exhaust come out the passenger side? It would save the two big 90deg bends.
Yeah I was going to however the fuel filler is on the passenger side and it would clash if the muffler was there too.
@@ProShop1 good point. Thats why your the expert and im just here watching you! Hahaha 😂
Fuel tank at rear of the vehicle and obviously behind the rear wheels, made from alloy.
Yay 😊
Awesome work as always mate. What’s titanium like to weld compared to other metals?
Feels just like stainless but needs a lot more argon. Thanks mate
Awesome Work Mate! I'm not being negative, (just putting it there) with the V Band Bolts point straight down they are vulnerable to hitting the road & bending them. Would it be better to have them up out the way? & you cant see them either, as easy! Have you considered a big blowout doing a skid & the Fuel Tank so close to the Tyre?
Yes I know to put the v band bolts out of the way. The exhaust isn’t finished so it’s easier to undo the nuts in this position. As for the fuel tank, yes it has crossed my mind. I have to think of all possibilities when building a car. Thanks for your advice though. Always appreciate it.
Tell us the benefits of using titanium exhaust please
Less weight I guess. And maybe a bit of skiting rights on a "high end build"!
Yes and yes😂
It's a E J Ute ! !
EH plenum grille would suggest otherwise
@nickoeden a E H plenum grill will fit , no E H Ute came with out with a rectangle fuel filter. They w
ere round. If they are the original subframes body number stamp in will start with eh . The bottom of the door pillars should be able to accommodate a triangle foam piece not blended in with metal into the rest of the dash pad .
Just trying to help and save embarrassment . Can be rectifier with some body work great videos
It’s definitely an EH. Sometime in its life someone put an EJ rear quarter complete with fuel door. Thanks for the input though.
@ProShop1 great to see the Mystery solved keep up the great work
