  • In this video, Mingyur Rinpoche talks about the main point of the Vajrayana, what is called “taking fruition as path,” and how this is different from other Buddhist approaches.

      Sorry Redglazedeyez I didn't see your post. I want to share something about my life how rinpoche helped me.
      Initially I don't know that I was suffering with schezophrenia. I was suffering a lot with bad thoughts proke by inner sounds. At that time I believe in whatever my mind says I am in out of control. I was trying to control my mind but I can't. In RUclips I saw a video called monkey mind by rinpoche after that another video called awareness on anxiety. I saw a lot of videos made by rinpoche and their team. I practiced based on awareness meditation. One day I realized that whatever sounds I was hearing were false. From rinpoche I learnt a lot like awareness on feelings and awareness on space I felt that. If you follow whatever principles in Buddhism taught by Rinpoche definitely you can feel what the fruition is. My favourite colour is sky blue when
      I see the sky my childhood memories will come to my mind.

    Yongey is funny. I was able to absorb all of this teaching through not efforting too much, not struggling to 'understand.' This was so very simple of an explanation, which I can apply to all things on my path. Thank you.

    Answer to the question : we all already have the optimum power and consciousness within us, but after birth we keep making layers of different emotions, thoughts and habits, which we derive from different people and situations. We just need to remove the layers to see the real supreme being within us. We need practice and dedication to do that

    There is an experience recorded, which becomes knowledge. From that knowledge thought arises and action takes place. Experience, memory and knowledge are limited; therefore, thought is limited. Time is the past modifying itself in the present and becoming the future. The observer is the observed. The observed ends when observation without abstraction is.

    Answer to the reflection question - The first thought came to my mind was "Ah we already have it within us all the time. It is accessible in this moment as well. We are whole right now."
    There were a couple of second thoughts as well. About how in so many ideologies around the world, we are cast off as sinners- fit to be perpetually guilty.
    I also remember one second hand book I purchased and the previous owner of the book had scribbled a lot of things in the book with a pencil. One of the lines said, "Supreme power doesn't judge me, it empowers me supports me loves me unconditionally"
    I think all of us are whole, lovable, pure. We just have to access that inner space right here right now filled with infinite wisdom, love, and compassion.

  • @TheSoteriologist
    @TheSoteriologist 4 года назад +4

    That way of putting the difference is really not very convincing since even in the "causal" vehicles, you could equally claim that the apple is already there and that to develop mindfulness etc. is merely the removal of the obscurations. What makes more sense is that the theurgic practices of vajrayana uses the power of enlightened mandalas of deities who have _already_ achieved fruition.

    • @mailill
