Killeen is not nowhere as violent or dangerous as people are making it out to be, and I agree it definitely depends on your lifestyle.
Thank you for your point of view!
Go to rancier, gilmer, cloud st,willow springs,s ft hood st. Killeen is all hood even the nicer areas I've had quite a few homies killed or who have killed. Some were street niggaz and a few were normal ass dudes don't get it twisted. Or go there thinking it's Mayberry that's just my advise
Moved here in November. Been praying for the people daily. Praying it become a haven. Praying for salvation for every household. Please do the same.
That’s amazing I’ll do the same
I agree with this. It’s more of a punchline than the actual truth. There’s a couple areas that might be a little sketchy later at night, but you’ll find that almost anywhere.
Agreed thanks for input
I thought St. Louis Mo was up in the top 3
I went to Trimmer, Manor and Ellison as a white boy, and it really isn't bad. I lived in the Glenn Duex, small commuitny of familes surrounded by churches (car dealerships now), and it was just a typical neighborhood. Avoid Rancier, and you're good.
Thank for the feedback. Anything you would like to see me cover in future videos??
Parents visited once and there was a shooting and that was enough for them.
Ah man I’m sorry to hear that happened
I grew up in north killeen Elkins Ave 41 baby!!
Ayyyye you can stop buy a house for about $100k over there lol it’s not gentrified yet
I’m in Casper Ridge Estates. Been here for 10yrs, it’s been great! I do hate that it has become as large as it is now, but it’s still great. I was in Copperas Cove for 12 yrs, and I loved it, but I got more house for my buck in Killeen. I found a brand new home for less than a old home in Cove. My home is almost 2600sqft and is only one floor, Cove would’ve costed a fortune, and this was 2013.
Thanks so much for sharing that!
deerwood,rosewood,whiterock,tuscany meadows,estancia west,cedarbrooke ridge,heather glen,yowell ranch,splawn ranch,heritage oaks,herring legacy estates are neighborhoods I deem are the safest
Yea I want to do highlights on all of these.. this is a great list!!! We have some awesome neighborhoods here, sadly they get overlooked
You forgot to mention Yowell Ranch! But I agree Spanish Oaks is great. Very low crime rate.
Yea it’s really based off general area and surprisingly Yowell Ranch wasn’t in the top based on the data
Trouble in the K only comes to those looking for it.
I definitely agree with that!
By far, Spanish Oaks is the best neighborhood in Killeen. It is a smaller neighborhood, quiet, friendly neighbors and low traffic. Close to schools, hospitals and shopping but still that outside of town country feel with well kept yards, and larger affordable homes. Siltstone neighborhood is nice but quite a bit larger in size. Yowel Ranch is ok, homes are very close together and the streets are filled with to many parked cars and it's a little stressful with everyone packed in so close to each other...and there is another addition going in which will make Yowel even more cramped. Stay away from North Killeen, as there are no grocery stores, clinics, etc...
Love Spanish Oaks.. and yes North side needs a grocery store!
I was stationed at Fort Hood in the early 70's is Avenue D still the place to have a good time?
I wouldn’t recommend it lol
never thought I’d see a video of my home town
That’s why we’re here!
I always fly out of Killeen. So much easier than Austin.
Super interesting hack! There’s usually only like a $50 difference in price.
At times I get so frustrated with people exaggerating about killeen, as any place chances yes, but not as they want make look .,depends ur way of life trouble comes to you.,I’m glad , bless been here .,not everyone had bad experiences.
I can definitely relate to this! I think anyone can build a great life here! We need more voice is like yours speaking up for the community.
I live in Copperas Cove and I think it’s a great little town with a country vibe to live in 🥰
I was sooooo close to buying in Copperas Cove some years back. I need to do a video on it! It’s growing like crazy now.
I do know there are many places I will not go once the light goes down.😅😅😅 I avoid Killeen if at all possible. HD Lowes then back to Cove area, actually not any better now that I think about it😂😂😂😂
😂 it’s not so bad
When there’s nothing around to do, the younger population finds things to do. Most of the time it’s trouble. Additionally there’s no opportunity or real jobs in Killeen. A lot of people will turn to making money in alternative ways.
Do a video on how investors and real estate agents are stealing peoples homes in central texas
I’ve been looking to move here with my wife and our twins from San Diego but shoot the crime here looks crazy no A or B zip codes!
It’s really not. My family has lived here since 2000 & have never been the victims of any this of crime. It really depends on how you live. It’s not gonna be as cool as San Diego but at least you’re super close to Austin which still isn’t as cool as SD lol
@@realestatesteph would you suggest raising a family here? I’ve been looking at Killeen, Fort Worth, and waxahachie.I’m guessing the crime shouldn’t be that bad compared to South east dego in any of these areas. I’m young I stay out the way tryna live a slower pace lifestyle. Cali is to fast paced everyone always in a rush to get to the red light. That Gimmie gimmie gimmie attitude. And SD is only fun if you’re single once you tie the knot no reason to stay besides the weather and beach lol. Take yo pretty wife and dip is what I’m on. Please let me know what area you think is best outta all 3 I listed if you have any experience with them. Oh yeah And I heard Austin is like cali so no thank you I’m tryna stay away from there.
IMO Austin is nothing like Cali.. Idk anything about Waxahachi. Fort Worth seems pretty nice just depending on the area. Killeen is solid for a slow chill life, it’s finding good work that will be the issue.
@@mando2.049Speaking as someone from California who lives in Killeen now the crime here in no way compares to California crime or hoods. I definitely feel safe living here and don't worry about drive bys, gangs, drug addicts or homeless people don't get me wrong they exist but mostly in a small area of town.
Hello and how is the college in killeen because i moved in fall with some families and i want know the college or university are the best or not in killeen
Check out Niche.com
I was looking into Heritage oaks but it isn't on your list maybe I should rethink that.
Heritage Oaks is in the “Rosewood/ Siltstone “ area so A+ on that one. Love it out there. Plus they have the park which is also really nice
@@realestatesteph oh okay
I stay off Rancier lol but I love my city
Let’s go!!! Gotta love the K!
I am going to sell solar D2D in Killeen, do you have any advice?
I think you’ll do well! Neighborhoods like White Rock are best bc older demographic that’s retired and won’t be selling in the next year or two
When I moved here (not by choice but because of the Army) there were literally people going around driving around town shooting at random cars. As someone who’s never had something like that happen anywhere close to where I lived in my life, told me all I needed to know about Killeen. Also the amount of break ins and cars being stolen is ridiculous. It’s also ugly. Killeen is so ugly looking. It’s like the city just gave up on itself and has never tried to make the buildings more attractive and pleasant. And it’s not walkable at all. Sidewalks are non existent and the public transportation system is terrible. When people say “oh I just love it here” I look at them like you’ve got to be kidding me. I have to believe these people have never actually seen a NICE area or town before.
Stay away from downtown 41 and Marlboro heights them boys in the streets
I HAVE FAMILY THAT LIVES IN KILLEEN TEXAS BEEN THERE SINCE THE HURRICANE KATRINA
Nice! I hope they love it
@@realestatesteph GOOD MORNING ♥️♥️
Its better than Monroe. Yippee.
I mean… everywhere is better than Monroe lol
What will be a good area to raise a family with 4 African-American boys with diversity?
Hi! Honestly, there’s tons of choices. Would love to have a deeper conversation. Send me an email Stephen@nextquesthomes.com
Anywhere. I guarantee just by you asking that you already have raised them properly.
U know what it stands for?
Not sure what you’re referring to
Texas is another state I would never live in.
Aw man c’mon lol
I don't like Texas either
