- Here is a nice clip from a long interview George did on the Today Show in 1988. I don't think I've seen this interview on RUclips yet so I hope this might be the first time you all have seen this. Interviews from the Faith period are always very interesting so I hope you enjoy!

Even at a young age he had a mature way of looking at life. Not getting too far ahead of himself. He had an astounding 30 year career. That's the way I want to remember him. I'm not going to let negative speculation from the press take that away.

The world lost a lot when George's light was extinguished. As an artist and a humanitarian, I just don't see him being replicated in anyway. He was that exceptional.

@the geoge michael archive. Thank you for posting this. First time I have seen it. Most of the Faith interviews that I have seen were for MTV. This one the interviewer asked a few different questions. One thing that has remained constant with George's interviews has been that he always wanted to be recognized as a writer. I think his songs have stood the test of time with respect to his lyrics as well as his music composition. Thank you for the treat, the George Michael Archive. Looking forward to your next post.

This is quite a rare glimpse / chance to see GM interviewed from that side because most fans will know he always favoured the other side for his images and definitely interviews. George has often stated he knows when & how he looks his best. Been a fan since '84.

1998, rememberwhen. George is still so young yet very focused, straightforward & intelligent. Through the years George stayed the same, with love honesty kindness & humility all at the same time. It's too bad there aren't many like him. God knows his world should be better, yet as humans, we squandered It away. I ask myself why, George didn't as much as I can tell, He thought more of other people than himself. Even to his fans. He wrote for us trying not to set the stage for us but to leave his music open to our interpretation. That's why we could relate to his music in such a personal way. Eve from this point on as were watching, It's All There!🕯😇🎶🎶🎶💖
Hello Albert, I am pleased to see another upload from you in my notifications! Thank you for this upload as this is a real rarity to my knowledge, I’ve never this myself and I’m sure that this is the only upload on RUclips of this interview. What surprises me with this interview is the way that George looks. I know that George was very particular with how he presented himself on camera and how he hated being in-front of one. If you compare how he looks here to the 60 minutes interview, there’s quite a contrast. Anyway, since this is a Faith related upload, I supposed I should share something from the Faith era. I was going to link you to the pro-shot footage of George and Aretha performing ‘I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)’ on ‘The Faith Tour’ in Detroit but I’ve seen from your comment on the video that you’ve already found it! I agree about George’s presentation in this interview being a rarity. He usually preferred the camera being on the left of his face - never straight on.

Unfortunately no on the date. The label on the tape only say it’s 1988. And think I might have the full interview but it looks a lot worse than this portion.
