I would say if you can upgrade the shocks. 2nd tank on the today after being broke in the front right shock cap stripped out off the shock body. But definitely thanks for the servo horn tip. Oh and for those that need it the part number for the servo horn is TLR1557.
Dustin D man I’m not sure why people have problems with the stock shocks braking? The only problems I’ve had with mine is over time the cap wore out and it was a really loose fit on the mount.
Dont believe in lipos??? Huh? Lipos are great! Try them, they charge more consistant, are cheap and more powerful. I drove a stock losi 8ight truggy on a track, and the biggest problem was, it wouldn't turn hardly at all! It Pushed in every turn, upgrading the diffs by installing the the other 2 spider gears, and some silicone diff oil in the diffs would be a great improvement for these buggies, they would drive alot better. Good video!

I am planning on ordering the ceramic bearing kits from avid. What kit should i order it for? 2.0RTR or 3.0 kit? There is no 3.0RTR as a selection. Thank you!
Marco Werner save your money on ceramic they won’t last on the car it’s self. The only place you would want to run ceramic bearings is on the engine because they get a constant stream of oil. If ceramic bearings don’t get a constant stream of oil they will ware quicker than steel ball bearings. Question Sir, new rc guy question... why does losi include two different types of servos, and why did you upgrade with two different servo models from savox? Is there any real difference or can i have the same two models? Cause to me, servos are just two little electric devices that rotate to perform the actions. Is there something big im missing?
Matthew Prior exelant question! This losi buggy comes with 2 metal geared spectrum S605 servos and in my opinion they are junk! They they both fell apart, one burnt out and the other one stripped. And the specs are under powered for a RC of this size. The stock spectrum servo gives you 161 oz of torque at .24 seconds and that very slow! The reason I went with two different savox models is because they give different specs for example I use the savox 2271 for steering and that offers 208.3 oz or torque at .08 seconds. Way faster and more power. For throttle I went with the savox 1258 and that’s my go to throttle servo because it’s amazing for the price it gives 166 oz of torque at .08 seconds. I didn’t go with as much torque as the steering because it’s not needed for throttle. Also both savox servos are titanium geared and I haven’t broken a single one in any way.
Hey man I got a noobie question. Are there any difference of the 8ight models? Cause I just bought my first nitro buggy. And it happen to be a 8ight. Just Losi 8ight. And I'm wondering if the other models are universial with each other?
I'd be leaving it just as it is. Losi engineers are not stupid and have put a awsome RTR together, everything about that Losi has been thought about and put together as a excellent RTR. If it's not broke don't fix it. The only thing ide be doing is running it with the body on so you don't accidentally roll and damage your nice cooling head. By the way once you run it in set up the suspension components and tune that engine you'll be surprised of the power it has STOCK. those things tuned right go pretty hard 💯💯🏁🏁🏆🏆🏆
Troy Anderson nitro rc I agree but a couple things they did do to keep the cost down so I made it just a little bit better since I feel some things needed to be improved. And everything that did brake I fixed.
