No matter how many video's I watch... I never can shake the feel that they turn out with so much more vehicles then they ever need.. The fire was already good and well out. With trucks doing nothing and still more fire engines were turning up to the scene xD.
Good job to all. Everyone was on point and got the fire out quickly, then started attacking the structure. So many times, I see guys lolligagging around, but you put the foam to it pronto! Also, great use of foam! So much more effective than water. Again, great job to all, and great vid capture. I really like the tracer lights on front of Fire Chief's rig! That'll get some attention!
Demonracer2 Thank you so much! Thanks for watching my videos, always been a big fan of yours since the start of my journey in the fire photographer world!
Here in the Denver Colorado area businesses are required to have a knox box that only the fire department has keys to so they don't have to break widows and doors to gain access.
Units from Company 15 already on a call? Surprised to see units from 12 and 24 arriving when Company 15 is 30 seconds away on Briggs Chaney. For that matter, PG 41 is closer than 12 and 24.
That ladder sure is confusing on which end goes up ! lol Great job to all fireman and those who risk their lives.....I mean you know on the way there they were boasting about how they broke into a bank..... ! who gets that opportunity !
It was good to see them put the truck in park at 1:49 and have the first 1-¾” line putting water/foam on it at 3:14. I have seen so many videos lately where it is taking 3-5 minutes to get the first attack line up and running. Seems like a very good fire unit!
So instead of beating the main door all to hell, why didn't they just put a K12 with a carbide disc blade on the locking devices? $600 as opposed to $5000 of additional damage. Other than that this is a great save. Amazing how building construction has evolved to keep fires contained to a lesser area and prevent uncontrollable spread. Awesome video.
No bashing you here but I think you meant RIT Rapid Intervention Team not RID. Good video and good response by the FD fire knocked down very quickly and they were into overhaul in minutes. I am thinking the cause was a faulty backlight sign. Do you know?
Cause was determined to be electrical. Area of origin was the Bank of America sign on the building. Thanks for watching, be sure to share the video and channel!
@@GregsFirePhotography good catch I was going to ask if it was electrical until I saw your reply. It was obvious to me in the first minute that it was a electrical fire caused sign malfunctioning. Awesome pre arrival footage, awesome on scene footage, awesome footage of the in coming units arriving on scene
I was about to say, it's right above the sign, I don't know why else there would be electrical stuff right there, other than for the sign (or perhaps security cams).
@@cjmcdougall9906 Yeah, it could be replaced. I'm not sure if the county will or is planning on replacing AT724. Haven't heard or seen anything about it.
I did not make the initial 911 call, as someone that worked at he Mcdonald's drive-thru called it in. I was 4 minutes away when it was initially dispatched. Thanks for watching! Be sure to share the video and channel!
What about all the members money? Hopefully the safe kept it... well...safe lol Edit: I posted this in the beginning and now at the end everything looks alright, awesome job by those firefighters for quickly getting it under control
tbruchey I put it since it was mutual aid from Howard County, not sure on the role the unit plays in the fire service. Only thing that comes to mind is photography for the dept. Thanks for watching, be sure to share the video and channel!
In theory, you use less water since the foam suppresses the fire instead of cooling it with water only. Thanks for watching, be sure to share the video and channel!
What you're seeing here is Class A foam (different from the Class B foam you see used on liquid fuel fires). It's a surfactant, meaning it reduces the surface tension of the water and allows it penetrate the burning material better. It makes the water molecules less attracted to each other, and more attracted to the fuel (wood, fibers, etc.), reducing the amount of water that beads up and runs off. Dish soap works on the same principle. Class B foam, like you see airport crews spraying, works by forming an airtight film across the surface of a flammable liquid and preventing the vapors from escaping and igniting.
It’s so frustrating to see professional firefighters not putting on full PPE before fire attack or S&R. You have a bottle and your mask hanging and start tearing down burning soffit looking up at it. Here in Shreveport, we have a Class 1 rating. Over the years, if I didn’t have my mask on, I would have been hurt several times. The debris, the carcinogens you inhale! Several years ago we had a car fire and I was on the nozzle and had a battery blow on me and because I was in full PPE, I never missed a beat. If I didn’t have my mask on, like you see in a lot of theses RUclips car fires, magnesium is something you don’t want on your bare skin! And in later years you develop lung issues. Be safe, that’s what our equipment is for.
"Yes dispatcher, there are 3 masked men trying to break into the Bank of America."
And that wouldn't even be a lie. Lol
David Rudmin good job
And now it's just totally normal and a compassionate measure to keep others safe from germs
the only time its LEGAL to break into a bank! roflmao nice catch.
Don't they have the Knox Box for the keys?

well done
Dam that bank door think as hell
I think a Knox Box would have been a smart investment.
Sweet
Team hustle...nice
Nice catch. What exactly was that firefighter in the white helmet doing with all that hose, then just dropping it?
Don't worry the money is insured by the FDIC. Also looks like there must of been a short in the wiring for the sign and the one light.
Yeah excuse me firefighter, can I just get to the ATM real quick? 😂
Can I use the ATM as long as we are here.
lets go howard county fd
Talk about HOT MONEY!

David Lenzi Actually here in Montgomery County we call it RID - Rapid Intervention Dispatch. Yes the fire was electrical and origin was the bank sign.
What Scanner radio do you use? Is Unication G5 ok?
I guess their deals on new accounts are HOT!

Do they think it was arson or electrical?

Public Information Officer. Las Vegas has one also. They handle media queries.
That window tho.
Why use foam? Not very familiar with protocols.
In theory, you use less water since the foam suppresses the fire instead of cooling it with water only. Thanks for watching, be sure to share the video and channel!
Using foam makes water about 7 times more effective

I always wanted the foam turned on and mt engineer knew it. Fires get knocked and put out so much quicker.

You can probably wonder why......it's a bank it's not supposed to be easy to get into.
put a ram onto the front of the engines bumpers so they just drive through it lol
Great forced entry. Not! Plus it's a bank. Don't you think it would be a little more secure than an ordinary business?
