This song lyrically can be interpreted in soo many ways.. That’s why it’s so deep and beautiful.. Absolute Masterpiece off a Masterpiece of an album.. WORSHIP
I don't see other ways. He's in love with someone who self-harms or is suicidal. He wants to help/fix their wounds but doesn't know how.

i read somewhere that a fan got a chance to talk to ii after their stage set. the fan asked about their music and what it meant/what it was about. ii said “what does it mean to YOU?”
i think that really confirmed for me that they make music really for the sake of the music and connecting to others. to create a piece of art that anybody can feel to. i think it’s so beautiful how they basically extent their hands to people through their music. and do so without judgement of getting the lyrics wrong. 💙🤘
This one is easily my favorite off the album. I've got several friends and family members who have struggled with SH and it hits so close to home for me 💔

I dedicate this song to my 17 year old daughter who has self harmed in the past. Ive never felt more broken and helpless as a parent as i did that night. She seems to be doing better now but i always wonder if shes just like me and puts on a smile while her thoughts are eating her alive. Regardless i will be there every step of her journey with her!

Just subbed to the channel, love the content alot. When I first heard this song it totally broke me. As a person who has dealt with mental health for about 20 yrs now, it really hits me on a personal level. Vessel is a special vocalist.

Sex? Whilst that is a super important part of life, it's really not part of the discussion when we are talking about mental illness, self-harm and the like.
I'm all for the relationship between music and sex but perhaps not this song, given the content matter.

The decision to put this one right after Ascensionism was a perfect decision. Having the gentle guitar hit you right after the gut-wrenching ending of the previous song is such a whiplash of genres but it was genius to put the emotion of hurting right before a song talking about healing hurt.
This song hits me way too hard, especially after a serious break up. Wishing or wondering if I could have done more.
