The storytelling of this entire band is just unreal

It calls back to Are You Really Ok? as well. The stomp clap beat for the second verse of both songs are nearly identical
Also calls back to when the bough breaks from their first ep “One” and another secret callback to vessels past. If you know don’t tell people though.

I legitimately think this might be the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard from any artist ever. It’s just incredibly, incredibly beautiful. Every single note, every single word, every single inflection just hits so hard and beautifully. It’s perfect.

I like how even though she had no idea the song was a throwback to previous albums and espceially TNDNBTG, she still picked up on the emotion of it being a throwback. That's some good songwriting there
haahha i noticed it when i really listened harder to the album later after these reactions! really bummed i didn’t catch it sooner but when it hit, it opened the tearful floodgates even easier 😭😭😭
I love how they managed to mix nostalgia with a hopeful feeling, as if teaching that you should feel happy about good things that happened even if it's sad that they're gone. The night does not belong to God, the night belongs to you. This song is just a warm hug.

Sleep Token does it again! Connecting everything while still bringing something new. Amazing … Something spiritual happens when he sings, “For me … The Night Belongs to You” … So many people hearing the band for the first time literally break down right in that spot

I guess we all have that someone who taught us how to be our best...when they completely shattered our hearts. His suffering is so beautiful. It just keeps making me weep. I dont want to confront these demons. But you have to pay the price of admission...to let him in. And once hes in...the surgery...the remedy...the recovery. Its nice to feel again.
something about this song makes me want to play it on a road trip and blast it in my own little world
Not only does this bring the trilogy into a full circle by ending the song with how the first song on the first album ended, but it makes those lyrics have a brand NEW meaning as well.
Where the first song ends with a feeling of "Okay please just end my daily suffering and make me feel free again and bring on the night", this song wraps up the trilogy with a feeling of "Alright, I'm done with this thing that's been eating at me for ages, I'm done holding onto this relationship, I'm done holding onto this shit, just give me the night. Let's end this now. It's done with."
"Like lovers entwined i know for the last time you will not be mine so give me the night the nigh the night!!!" That shit makes me want to break down that shit hits straight to the heart
What I love about this being a finale to the album, is that every reaction I've seen so far, the listener has a giant smile on their face throughout the entire length of the song. It's beautiful.
At this time in my life there's no better descriptor to me than 'therapeutic', as you say.
Still get a lump in my throat when one of their songs hits me at the right moment.
you guys i have seen the other comments talking about this song has callbacks to other songs and I am here to tell all of you that song is even crazier then any of you know!!! I am almost completely positive that this song is nothing but callbacks.. every lyric in this song is a callback to other songs!!! I mean..... to end a trilogy of albums with the last song's lyrics calling back all the other songs!!!! This is some next 5 levels writting of songs and production and just everything. Also, if you guys didn't catch on to the line art of the guy in the mask art for this song the drawing is very important. If you look at the guy in the mask, a new mask, by the way, he is holding Vessel's old mask like he cut off vessel's head. This drawing, the last of the sleep token drawings, is the drawing that signifies the change from what Vessel was to what he is now.
The whole second half of this album is a hard punch to the back of the heart

Such a beautiful song to end the album with. This is easily my favorite album not only of 2023 but probably in the last 5 or 10yrs.

Masterpiece!
There are fans that are nervous that this is either Sleep Tokens farewell album or that they will just be moving in a different direction musically/lyrically. Vessels lyrical progression in the first two albums was very dark/depressing but this album ended on a positive and uplifting note, which some believe means that vessel has worked through the issues that inspired these last 3 albums. So whatever comes next for them could have new inspiration which could mean a new sound, new lyrical direction, or worst case scenario, a shift away from the band entirely. To me, those “what ifs” are what make Euclid so much more special.
The ending is a callback to The night does not belong to God, the first song on Sundowning. This album was the last of the trilogy (Sundowning, TPWBYT, and TMBTE) which is why the lyrics talk about moving on, and why they called back songs from all of their discography.
I reckon when he sings "This bough has broken through" it's a reference to their song 'When the Bough Breaks' off their first EP from 2016 too 🥲

From what I heard/did not hear this might be their last release... they're taking a different route... I really hope not, but if it was then they came, conquered and left us with a masterpiece than can never be replicated... this is the Mona Lisa of music

Being a huge fan of Haken and Leprous, discovering Sleep Token two weeks ago ( yes, late, but better than never) was a true revelation.

In the following two lines there is a callback to Vessel's past. He reveals his identity cryptically. It's not for me to say, but it's out there. However, the "Autumn Leaves" call out is a direct shout out to the jazz standard of the same name, of course about love, regret, and loss. See lyrics here:
