I came here to watch the demo, but after 3:00 I was like "to hell with the demo, let me enjoy his playing". Truly inspiring. And your pedals are awesome. Rock on!
I just got this today, it has given my Marshall Jubilee new life, it now plays nice with my NKT sunface, my fulltone 70, and my Big Muff sounds HUGE. I can't say thank you enough, it's amazing something like this can interact with pedals so easily. Also got rid of the rasp when using a vibe after a fuzz. Thanks guys!
I have the DLS. Tried countless other distortions including all the classics (TS, OCD, BB preamp, fuzzboxes, dist of all kinds etc). Always come back to the DLS and it's my only drive i have plus form a few other simple effects (chorus, rev, delay). The dirt, compression and eq are spot on. That makes it an instant 3 in 1. Haven't heard a better all-in-one drive for now. Hughes-Kettner Tube factor is my close second but isn't as versatile as the DLS. Cheers Catalinbread, and thanks for the nice drive!
Hi, the settings are shown in the video! Yes, the new DLS was designed to get great edge of breakup sound, especially in SB mode, by turning the gain and the tone controls down! Running it at 18 volts increases the headroom giving even better edge of breakup and touch sensitivity! ... Howard
Howard Gee and crew are making me spend a fortune on these pedals, and worth it by the way, but now looking at a Princeton too just to have a clean little amp to put these pedals in front of...
great demonstration on how this pedal nails the classic plexi-fuzz face tone! I have a DLS and recently picked up a Chicago Stomp Works Rat/TS808 Clone anticipating what these two would sound like with the DLS as a foundation.
Thanks! They're both great for 70's rock! Maybe the MkIII slightly more because of the mids knob but the MkII had it's mids dialed in pretty much specifially for the 70's rock sound.
When you build pedals, so many cool things are business write-offs! "Yes Mr. IRS Auditor, see I need all these vintage guitars to make sure the pedal sounds right. The weed? Yeah, I need the weed to make sure the pedal sounds right." IRS Auditor: "Keep rockin' Mr. Gee!"
What's the possibility of coming out with a dual switch DLS? One side SB, one side SL. These vids are great. I'm getting a DLS to go in front of my DRRI.
I want mine to do that. it's really a bit silly to put it inside. I will probably wire a seperate switch to do just that. i shouldn't have to. Howard can you fix ours?
Hello and thank you! It's a Hendrix style jam based around Catfish Blues. As a matter of fact, the backing track is available for download at our Soundcloud! See the video description for the link!
I own a Pal800 Gold Overdrive which does the 800 tone beautifully. However, the DLS sounds killer for the Super Lead/bass type tone. Both pedals are big home runs.
Hello my friend! Great job! Thanks for share! Sorry my ignorance, but, what is the name for the music backing track you used as from 1:46? It can be found for download? It's a really cool song to improvise! Thanks!
What are the settings on the DLS? Also, with the DLS is it possible to just get an edge of break up sound? I also have a princeton and I can't crank it to a break up sound so wondering if the DLS can cover that too. Thanks for responding!
I assume you would recommend a fuzz pedal before an amp in a box type pedal? I was always of the opinion to have my signal chain distortion overdrive then fuzz when it comes to dirt pedals. I always thought the dirty little secret and the tweed type pedal like the formula 5 was considered an overdrive pedal.
Been using this same cool trick for years via my SS amp, but with a standard tube screamer, you can get these same results with just about any overdrive pedal plugged after a fuzzface. Just add a wee-bit of drive and it does the same job, different drives yield different flavours.
I've got a ts-9 and a dls and I can assure you that they're very different... the dls is less muddy and compressed compared to the tube screamer, so the fuzz tones get a lot better.
I'd love to try one of these with my karma suture on fuzzed up mode. Not sure whether to go with the dirty lil secret or one of the tweedy foundation ones. I play a les paul with he's, what do u reckon?
Has anybody tried this pedal, I’m tempted to try one but it sounds so flubby and stiff in the vid? Sounds like it needs a preamp in front of it to give it definition? Does it feel as stiff as it sounds?
Wanted to marshalize a Vibro King. Wanted a little more voice without toting any more expensive amps around with me or digitizing the shit out of my sound with floor processors. Best I have looked at by far. Ordered mine 2 days ago.
I am looking for a pedal to overdrive my 1959 and JTM 45 at bedroom / studio volume. Will the DLS color my amps tone? If yes, can you recommend any other pedals?
My life turns around this sound...every day in my head every day in my heart ....jimis heavyblues sound 😍
I came here to watch the demo, but after 3:00 I was like "to hell with the demo, let me enjoy his playing". Truly inspiring. And your pedals are awesome. Rock on!
Holy moly that was some fine playing tight there!
This is the best demo of DLS in the internet...

Sounds like Hendrix... Dude probably has one of the best jobs ever.
Do you have any idea how jarring it is to get a notification that someone replied to a comment you made an a RUclips video 6 years ago? @leondro dario
Boy you can't get a better demonstrator than this guy😆
I think Catfish was the precursor to Voodoo Child. It's cool to see how he evolved it from a Muddy Waters tribute to an original song!
very emotional blues phsyhedelic playing hendrix would be proud!

Princeton's on TWO and he's playin' the fuzz through the NECK pickup!
Gotta get me one!

Thanks! The Strat is a Fender Custom Shop '60 Relic with CS '60 pickups!
nice playing good demo,
This video is just EPIC!!! Awesome!
Best Marshall pedal I own.
Probably one of the best pedal demos I've ever seen. Great playing. What kind of pickups are in the strat?
Man i love this!! This guy can play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A great pedal sound. Amazing blues jam!

Tomo you'da Man, Jimi would be proud of you, I'm going to spend the next week working on this, Catfish.
Got one coming, can't wait!
That tone!!!

Actually, it's Catfish Blues ;-)
cant wait to get one of these!!!! sounds really Hendrixy

Awesome! That's great to hear!
Hi, it's a 2001 Custom Shop 1960 Relic Strat with the original pickups in it.
Yes, fuzz before DLS (just treat DLS as if it were the amp!)
One of if not THE best pedals I've ever heard. Thank you so much. Making the call to ProGuitarShop right now. (cuz I live in Oregon). :P
Hello and thank you! It's a Hendrix style jam based around Catfish Blues. As a matter of fact, the backing track is available for download at our Soundcloud! See the video description for the link!
Hi, the backing track was just something I whipped together real quick with a drum plugin and a bass overdub!
great video man! great sound, great playing.
This really sells the product!
Brilliant!
I own a Pal800 Gold Overdrive which does the 800 tone beautifully. However, the DLS sounds killer for the Super Lead/bass type tone. Both pedals are big home runs.
its a great pedal !
I use this pedal along with a Swart amp and a Les Paul Custom. Oh my dose it sing.
Either mode can be used but SB mode was specifically voiced to bring out fuzz!
I tuned to the Band of Gypsys tuning which is somewhere between D and Eb.... or maybe it was D... can't remember!

read the uploader comments, he says he whipped together the backing track himself. It's a jam on Hendrix's Voodoo Chile in case you didn't know...
What are the settings on the DLS? Also, with the DLS is it possible to just get an edge of break up sound? I also have a princeton and I can't crank it to a break up sound so wondering if the DLS can cover that too. Thanks for responding!
A ninja on guitar!
Great video..
Sounds amazing! How is the Mk3 compared to earlier DLS models for 70's rock?
Awesome

I always thought the dirty little secret and the tweed type pedal like the formula 5 was considered an overdrive pedal.
Awesome, thanks for putting the track up there! What tuning are you in? It seems to be lower than e-flat...

NICE WORK MAN! How about a DLS MKIII/fuzz face dual pedal?
is it always recommended to put the DSL after fuzz? I put it in front of my big muff and it sounds good, but I haven't experimented yet
Here... ! Take my money already!
I'd love to try one of these with my karma suture on fuzzed up mode. Not sure whether to go with the dirty lil secret or one of the tweedy foundation ones. I play a les paul with he's, what do u reckon?
Yes, correct!
Damn I needs me one a these.
ah! Very similar sounding, my mistake, thanks for the correction!
So is it just the DLS up until about 4:00, and the it's DLS and Fuzz after that?
what happened to that other demo that's been announced at the end of the video?
What kind of Strat is that? Actually, what kind of pickups?
Does the pedal work better with fuzz in SB or SL mode? Can either mode be used with fuzz?
Thanks a lot!
When will this pesal be available?
Try Barber Super Sport custom B or Small Fry.I think they are betters.
so the fuzz is before the dls?
Mind = blown
Holy sh!t!!!
throwin' my monies at the screen!
Where's the new video?
Has anybody tried this pedal, I’m tempted to try one but it sounds so flubby and stiff in the vid? Sounds like it needs a preamp in front of it to give it definition? Does it feel as stiff as it sounds?

........and I still use it.
Is SL or SB switch better for later Hendrix 68-69 era?
SB
I am looking for a pedal to overdrive my 1959 and JTM 45 at bedroom / studio volume. Will the DLS color my amps tone? If yes, can you recommend any other pedals?
Yes video effects work good to hide the mess thats in the room ;)
Disgusting! Wow, awesome tones with the Strat!
333 RD LIKE........ LOVE YA DIMEBAG!!!!!! REST IN PEACE!!!
"Switching to bridge pickup
Fuzz still driving DLS"
"I seem to have dropped my pick"
LOL
OH FUCK!...
hahah, i'll have to kick your ass for saying that ;-)
