I think you can get away with it if you take the fake airpods and put them in the real case and the box for the real case, I don't believe they would be able to tell, as its a real case, real box, fake airpods.

That won't work either because the serial number printed in the box is also printed inside the airpods case. Furthermore, each airpods stem also has serial number that (I assume) linked with the case serial number. Apple have this database I guess.

Unscrupulous scrotes would take the fake ones back to the Apple store but in the genuine box, having been careful to buy the real ones under a fake address and use an anonymous payment card if possible. I should be the one to tell you all that apple doesn’t always catch them out, I’ve done this before and they accepted a return on the fakes it helps if you have a purchase receipt with you since in the receipt the serial number of the specific unit of AirPods they give you isn’t printed, it just shows what you purchased and how much for, and sometimes when they scan the barcode sometimes you can get lucky and it will show purchase history on their side it’s like a 1 in 1 million chance (that’s also why it’s better to basically switch the box sometimes the serial numbers on the fakes will match the authentic since those who make copy’s reuse the same serial number for every set of fakes) it’s not 100% effective but sometimes they do accept a return it’s like a 1 in 1 million chance you have to be extremely lucky

in the states they no longer have a sim tray, but in my country they still have the sim tray option for iphone 14 and up, it depends on where you live

It doesn’t work, they check the serial numbers and in fact there are three DIFFERENT numbers for each set of AirPod Pro’s (The case and each AirPod have their own numbers)
