NO ONE, not one other vocalist sounds anything like Edsel. There is no coincidence. He denies the claims, but that doesn't mean anything. Edsel is xero, and no one has a problem with it.
@Bryan I'm glad you have such a strong opinion on it. However i differ. I honestly prefer Edsel over Wayne (no disrespect to Wayne, he was the most important part of Static X) and i just in general prefer Dope over Static X. Wayne was great, and he can't really be perfectly replicated, he was one of a kind. But hey, agree to disagree. I respect that.
back in '99, i caught static for the wisconsin death trip tour, at the old- birch hill nightclub in old bridge, nj. i chilled with wayne static in the back at the bar during some opening acts. wayne was a very chill, laidback, friendly, rocker who enjoyed hanging out with his fans. as it came close to static to hit the stage- wayne shook my hand, said- enjoy the show, see ya after. after a killer set that ended with push it, while the whole floor turned circle pit, wayne made his way towards the back restrooms/bar area again. this time my cousin and i were on the left sidewall of the stairs leading across to the other side. as wayne walked towards us and offered autographs, i pulled out my ticket stub, to ask wayne to sign it for me. as i pulled my stub from my pocket, some younger kid ,saw my hand and said- hey dude, i lost my ticket, can i have yours? i said- sorry man, you're beat, i'd save mine for my sister. so the kid got pissed ,said- fuck this, and punched a hole in the wall at the railing behind us. as wayne got closer to us in the line, he signed my stub, thanked me for coming and chillin, while i thanked him for an awesome show. right after wayne signed my ticket, the kid who hit the wall, ripped off a chunk of busted drywall and said- wayne, dude, sign my wall. we all XD LOL wayne looked at us and said, i've signed, album covers, cds, posters, postcards, shirts, jackets, pants, bras, panties and tittes...But never once was i asked to sign someone's wall, i Will definitely sign your wall. the club can call a contractor to patch it. wayne and static thank you guys for an awesome night 23 years ago. RIP Wayne your are missed 🤘🤣

@@scottykingdavid @bene in the 90's, 94 or 95 I forget when. do you remember the mass psychosis show when an opening bands drummer was killed by a hi-hat stand that was thrown off stage by that nut? The drummer who was killed was our buddy Timmy(RIP). Timmy, Mike and I were on the floor in the pit when some douche got up on the stage, cursed out someone behind us and threw the hat stand like a javelin towards the crowd. Mike and I dodged out of the way but Timmy took the hat stand rubber foot to the temple and dropped the floor. Mike and I backed up the crowd to give us room for emt while we were covered in Timmy's blood from the arterial spray from his head. Meanwhile another buddy Andy lead the charge of 30 people who chased the crazy dude off stage into the bene parking lot and beat his ass severely before the emt and south Amboy cops rolled up. We never got a chance to see Psychosis because they canceled the rest of show after Timmy got hit. About a week or so after, we saw Timmy's obit in the paper and hung it up underneath the Fords Dunkin bridge..(his family pulled him off of life support) that was fucked up. I was 18 when that happened. I'm 46 now and I remember it like it was yesterday. RIP Tim 😢

Was always a huge fan of Dope growing up, and I'm happy seeing Edsel kill it in Wayne's honor. Awesome dude and vocalist! He does Wayne justice, and sounds amazing!🤘

I guess he talks about it in interviews just because then 🤣 Edsel literally talked about having to tour and front 2 bands in an interview and talked about Static X and Tony and all the guys. I guess he's just a big fan of their music? Not to mention anybody that's a Dope fan can instantly tell that's Edsels voice it's very distinct and different than most.

Glad they are still performing, Shure do miss Wayne though. Rest in peace Wayne and Tera you both went to soon.
The best part about this, is Edsel is already nailing it so well and they haven't even performed live as a band too many tones yet, so as the months and years progress, his vocals are going to get that much closer to Wayne's which is incredible given how well he already nails many nuances and maneurisms.
officially in since 2019 and I am sure, since Wayne died in 2014, Dope has been in the loop well before the 2019 join.
This is really great. He sounds a lot like Wayne and it feels very much like tribute and the band sounds great. Static X legacy!
I saw Static X in 2007 and watching this is awesome they are really doing.good Wayne a solid keeping his legacy alive.
I definitely would have loved to see what Wayne could have accomplished if he was still with us. But I'm pretty sure he'd be proud of his boys carrying on and performing like this still! I think this is singer from Dope? He did an AMAZING job!

Absolutely respect Static X for keeping kayfabe (carnival/wrestling term) with Xer0's identity but it's pretty difficult to go along with it as a fan while talking about them pretending you don't know who's behind the mask to respect their wishes.
It's definitely Edsel. But who better? He is worthy.

There hv a yt channel, who hate this reunion. The channel mentioned those original 3 band member who left the band years ago, just wanna care the money and the fame which can be generate from this band from wayne hardwork.
But i feel different. Those 3 original member and xero just continue the band from being dissolve.
Do hate on the band now, glad their doing it in Wayne's honor but I wasn't feeling them when I saw Mudvayne. But I saw static x with Wayne in 2009, that's probably why. Wayne fuckin tore it up

This is Ken, the original drummer, who left pretty early into the band’s career. He was replaced by the dude with dreads who was pretty damn good and a little better than Ken.

I was thinking the same thing! I saw them just this past Saturday on the same tour and they were WAY more high energy. Seemed like 2 different bands.
i was there there wasnt many people in the venue when both them and powerman5000 were on most showed up for mudvayne and zombie

I actually like Static-X now I wrote them off as typical of the time now I saw that looking up Deadsy Live lol. I still like Deadsy better my fav Indie Band and influenced by Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Brian Eno, King Crimson, Berlin and Gary Numan and band last 2 my favorite diehard on Berlin and even more so on Numan and band. So yeah these guys are good I remember when Phillips Exeter Blue (Elijah Blue Allman) of Deadsy did this with them in 2001 or 2002 on The Family Values Tour I have the Mp3 or Flac File lol. These guys are bad ass! They need more synths though and I see no player on stage at all the first song sounded kind of dark and moody similar to Numan and band also Deadsy like I said lol.
