I'd love to see a hangout with Carsten Duffin, who's also in the BRSO, like Eric Terwilliger, and a huge inspiration, because of his Heldenleben recording with that orchestra...
It has been probably asked a few times, please excuse me to ask again. What's the music on the start of your videos as an intro. Would be nice te get this info. I'm a big fan of horn in classical music, for me it has the most beautifull sound in the brass section.
Hey guys. I guess there's a lot of horn players around here. I have a question: is this horns at 2'50 of this piece, playing this weird glissando effect ? ruclips.net/video/8_9aZaSl-5I/видео.html I don't remeber having heard that before. How do you do that on a horn ? Thanks !
Those would be horns at that moment for sure. Sounds like an A minor scale (starting on the second note, a B) going up and down, played by the whole section. It's pretty tight sounding, but does have a glissando effect since there are more than one playing it.
Great interview, but you really need to do something about the background noise. It's distracting and disrespectful to Mr. Jones. Maybe you will need to do it in a studio.
Congratulation Sarah for your videos! Love them! :)
Pleasure to see Jonathan after all these years. I remember when he broke his arm and switched to French Horn. It was meant to be.
I love your videos!

Lipton and Sarah are the best low horn in the planet

Please have the BBCCO (BBC Concert Orchestra based in London) horns on your horn hangouts!! :) They are my favorite horn section. :)
Yes, we will have Sarah interviewed!
I am a horn player, and I played euphonium in the beginning
