Their are a number of extended lifts in this ballet where the male dancer not only lifts his partner very softly but puts her down just as softly. Having seen many companies perform Les Sylphides I notice it is often one of the tiniest dancers as one of the leads. Possibly coincidence but....! This is just superb.
