A Few Common Questions: Does this apply to cats as well? It appears there have been reports of cats having similar symptoms. In an abundance of caution, it may be worth swapping your cat's food if you wish since it appears to be a contaminated ingredient source. Does a general brand name like "Purina" or "Hills" mean I should avoid their various lines (ex. Purina Pro or Hill's Science Diet)? I believe that the use of a larger brand name like this indicates that multiple brands under that umbrella have been reported. In an abundance of caution, it may be worth swapping your pets' food if you wish since it appears to be a contaminated ingredient source. Should I avoid treats from these brands? In an abundance of caution, it may be worth swapping your pets' treats if you wish since it appears to be a contaminated ingredient source. I will be sure to update if there are major developments, but if you are interested in following this matter more closely, I would highly recommend following Dr. Morgan's facebook page for additional updates and resources.
I have started making my dogs food at home. Any good recipes that you like? I've been basically doing one recipe but swap out the protein, and or veg I use. I also use different toppers so they don't get bored. My corgi mix loves blueberries, but my jack russel/pit mix hates them and tries to hide them... Found that out the hard way.
Dr. Judy Morgan, from whom Skylar got all this information, has some great dog food recipes. I've been making her "pup loaf" for 7 years now. I have cavaliers (so does Dr. Morgan) and they tend to have allergies and some skin issues. I haven't had any of those problems since I started making their food. Plus they love it, they are excited when I'm baking it. I make a double batch and freeze it in containers to last 2-3 days once thawed. A double batch makes enough to feed our 2 - 20# dogs for a little over a month.@@jeannettebarnes2193
I stopped trusting the whole "industrialized" food industry both human and animal. We can't trust what they say because they sneak ingredients into our foods, nor do we really know where these ingredients are sourced (i.e. China and the like) where they don't bother to test extensively for toxins and other contaminates, or where regulations are of low standards. This is foods for animals, look at some of the things they let human eat! They are adding everything from toxic food coloring to bug base proteins. We only get to find out about some of those things. Yeah, I rather be an alarmist than blindly poisoning my dog and myself.
I'M FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW, I HAVE 4 HEALTH FOR MY SERVICE DOG, I ALSO HAVE MERRICK, THEY WERE TO BE THE BEST! ARE YOU STATING ALL THESE YOU'VE LISTED ARE BAD?? WHAT ARE WE TO FEED OUR DOGS? I'VE BEEN FEEDING HIM PEOPLE FOOD, BUT DANG YOU CAN'T TRUST THAT EITHER ANYMORE. BUT HE HAS ALLERGIES, LEASTWISE THAT'S WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE VET'S. NOW I'M WONDERING. HE HAD SORES AROUND HIS EYE'S, I'M TALKING BLISTERY OPEN SORES, HE'S LOST HIS HAIR AROUND THEM ANDI DON'T KNOW IF IT'LL EVER GROW BACK. I'VE BEEN PUTTING ALOE VERA ON IT, THAT'S HELPED TREMENDOUSLY, BUT STILL NO HAIR, HE LOOKS LIKE A DANG RACOON. NO ITS NOT FUNNY. HELP? I'M NOT DONE WITH YOUR VIDEO.
I adopted a 5-year-old dog in 2020. Previous owner fed Acana and I continued (mixed with homemade). My dog began having blood in diarrhea in August last year (after 3 years of her adoption). We ran numerous tests, including blood stools which came back negative. Her health began to decline rapidly. Colonoscopy was done in October and we found out that she had colonic carcinoma and 10 inches of her large intestine were all carcinoma tissue. Impossible to remove. It was so difficult to say goodbye in such a short period of time. I still mourn and cry. I miss her. She was my dream dog. Thank you so much for sharing this information with the world.
This is what I think Chinese imports cause, because of the type of "preservative" they use in a lot of things. After the first outbreak several years back, they reduced the amount but didnt change the type of preservative. Trick will be in finding out where the pet food comes from. Actress Katherine Haigle is in the "safe" dog food business now. Look her brands up.
Yeah, I never fully understood why many vets back in the day were adamant about not feeding table food and insisting only processed dog food or specialty dog food. I think they didn't know better themselves. I never had show-dogs or purebreds. I had rescued mutts. When you live paycheck to paycheck you don't throw away food. We mixed ours with the dry dog foods when I was growing up, most times it went to the chickens. Now I stay away from certain grains base dog foods, while growing some things to mix in my dog's food myself, like squash and papaya, while being careful not to add too many scraps that are process foods or loaded with sodium or anything that is unhealthy for dogs. But one thing all dogs need is MEAT and FAT. People that think they can make dogs vegans shouldn't own a dog.
@@ZenThruAnger most American dogs are obese, they don’t need the fat. In general, when people are talking about ‘table scraps’ and ‘people food’ they know that most people only give their dogs the stuff they WON’T eat. That translates to chicken skins (almost entirely fat), the fatty line on steaks, etc. In addition, excess salt is significantly worse for dogs that it is for humans, and many spices are toxic to dogs. So if you’re feeding fat scraps that have been salted and/or seasoned, at a minimum you could be contributing to obesity and heart problems, and you could possibly do even more harm. If you’re feeding them ‘good’ people food without any salt or seasonings, there usually isn’t a problem as long as it isn’t so much that it upsets the nutritional balance in their diets.
9 years ago I adopted a very old dog. He was found out on the street , so no one knew how old he was at the time of adoption. I think he was around 8 maybe even 9. He was severely abused, in horrible shape and had terrible teeth . He refused to eat dog food. I tied all types of dog food, including fresh and frozen, and he did not like any of it. He forced me to give him table food, and guess what, he lived 7 more years , never got sick or had cancer and died from old age from kidney failure . My new dog only eats people's food, and his treats are made from human food
factory dog food is all the left over parts from dead animals including any tumors they cut out of the dead cows, pigs or chickens. they throw some of those tumors into sausage and hamburger too because its all about making money
I hear you. I have three dogs - ages 12, 13, 13. Healthy because I have always cook them meals . . . kidney, liver, chicken hearts, carrots, yam, celeri, etc.
@@talmage_ur Good job! It really not that hard to cook dog food amd it is a lot cheaper than buying expensive US made or organic dog food because who knows what they really put in there . Most pet food , even if it said made in the USa , some of it always outsourced from somewhere and most likely it's from China. Another day I watch documentary on chinese food that made out of non food items - it is crazy ! They can make fake meat, fake eggs , fake butter and much luch more. They often use meat from animals that passed away ... amd who knows what and whose meat they are really using . If they can do this for human food , imagine what they can do for dog food !!
@@LanaUSA212 Also keep in mind that dog meat is also used. It's astounding how they treat dogs . . . not as pets but as food source. Another thing to know about fake food is how they process garlic . . . did you know that they bleach garlic buds and that's why they are so white. You'll also notice how garlic from China is less expensive than from other places. . . I stay away from Garlic coming from that country.
Yup, the WEF has voiced how pets create a lot of carbon and we know what that means. Purina exposed themselves for what they are doing, homesteaders like myself with chickens eating Purina chicken feed found their chickens stopped laying eggs. Tractor Supply and Purina were the common thread confirmed by thousands of concerned homesteaders who figured it out through forums. We all left them and went with organic and local grain suppliers. As soon as their diet changed the eggs returned better than last. All these companies happen to be owned by huge corporations like Black Rock/ WEF affiliates.
I've noticed a huge rise in cancer in dogs over the last 3 years alone. What's changed besides their agenda to remove all our pets that's what! Do you think it's just a coincidence?! Think again. 😡
It's the vaccines, too. They do not need a rabies shot every year. Many of the vaccines are unnecessary. A Dr, Jones on YT will tell you which ones to pass on.
Medical Technologist. The pet food company does NOT need the entire bag or can of food to test it for pathogens or contamination. Mix it and send a sample, give a similar sample to your veterinarian, freeze the rest. Do NOT sign ANY form provided by the company forfeiting your right to sue. Submit a bill for veterinary care, threaten to sue if they do not pay it. With a deadline. Then give them the name of your lawyer at the end of the letter which indicates the date you submitted the sample of the contaminated food. Send it registered mail so they have to sign for it or decline it.
No, never speak about your intent to sue. The reason for this is if you tell them your intent to sue you may be giving them an edge by giving them more time to prepare for the lawsuit and that intent or certain wording may be held as evidence of a frivolous lawsuit which would also hurt your chances. Just talk to a lawyer before you speak to anyone about a lawsuit.
Lawyer. I agree with the other poster, NEVER threaten to sue. The company will just circle the wagons and you’ll get nowhere. Reality check: lawyers and litigation are very expensive. The potential recovery in cases like this is not large enough for most attorneys to take the case on a contingent fee basis; therefore, you will spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on attorney fees in excess of any possible award, unless you are part of a class action lawsuit, in which case the lawyers will make a nice fee as part of the recovery and each class member will receive a nominal sum.

Grass fed meat and eggs...everything else is poison. And, with our destroyed & depleted soil, you'll still need to add magnesium. Our food supply is actually human self immolation.
When I got my cockapoo she refused 4kinds of kibble and fresh pet. I resorted to feeding her cooked meat, fish, eggs, cheese, assorted veggies and occasionally rice. She just started eating peaches. She is now 3 and the vet pronounced her perfect and the groomer always comments on how healthy her skin and coat is. I am so glad I “ listened “ to my pup.
That is interesting. I fed my feline boy's exclusive by Purina from a feed store for a long time. One of my boys passed away at 16 years old and my other boy who is seventeen refuses to eat that food now. They have always ate other food usually Prescription Diet.@naddinayazell1414
Why would you feed your dog peaches? Extremely high in fructose and absolutely not a dog species food! Also, vegetables and rice, are just fillers. Dogs are carnivores. They need meats of all kinds.
Extremely ignorant to do that. Many common spices and herbs are toxic for pets such as onions, garlic, oregano and nutmeg. Salt is also very bad for dogs. So unless you cook bland food, don’t give it to them. Also sugar is bad too. Dogs need cleaner food than humans do as we are more so trash cans insensitive to most things.
My 3 year old pup had bloody stool several months ago. The emergency vet checked him and said prescribed an antibiotic. A month or so later I felt compelled to start making their food myself. I was still sprinkling in some dry food (Purina) but recently stopped totally with the Purina just a gut feeling. Thank you for this information.
Purina Puppy food almost killed our Peppe years ago with same symptoms due to causing inflammation of his gut/intestine. He got better and then we gave him the left overs as to not waste the food and then he got same horrible illness again. I had to throw away the food and cook for him & buy more expensive organic dog food.
:( About two years ago, I put my dog was on very expensive perscription Hills Science Diet for kidney disease - he was doing quite well but began developing muscle weakness which I attributed to the kidney disease. Then, a few months later, he suddenly developed bloody diarrhea which the vet tried unsuccessfully to treat with antibiotics. I made the devastating decision to say goodbye to him because I didn't want him to keep suffering and end up dying a traumatic death alone. If his medical-grade food is what caused this, I would be even more devastated than I already am.
I had a little dachshund who lived for years eating kibble with no health issues. At the time I had switched her to Pedigree because of the issues with dogs dying from eating Beneful. Then around age 12 or 13 she had a bout of pancreatitis, colitis, and gastritis. That was only the beginning. Over the next several years she would have a bout of the same symptoms. After the first instance, the vet never said what it was but he would treat her with the same meds and the symptoms were always the same with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. He put her on Hills Prescription Diet Digestive Care after the first bout and she was on it until she died. I wonder now if the food is what caused it. Her last bout was so bad and I knew whenever I took her to the vet that afternoon that she wouldn't be coming back home. It about killed me to have to let the vet send her over the Rainbow Bridge. I felt like I lost my child. She would have ben 16 years old in 2 weeks. Now I no longer trust any kibble after what I'm finding out on the FB group about the dog foods. I have a 1 year old chi mix girl and I'm working right now to slowly transition her to healthier refrigerated and some home prepared foods.
My11 month old rescue was about to be put on Hills prescription. I declined after reading the ingredients and having read about feeding my dog human grade food I can fix myself. Unfortunately I see Blue Buffalo on the list.😠. We just started feeding about 1/2 BB and 1/2 my fresh mix of homemade .
Our Bronson has been on Prescription u/d food for the past 6 years. I am worried Bout him at 13. I have avoided making my own food for him due to his condition.
Sadly, not everyone is able to afford to pay for "the List" Thankfully, due to these vids, more people will be informed of what's happening. Kudos to you❤
Oh my goodness! I lost 2 pets back to back…both with these symptoms. I’m curious if this has been ongoing issue…I lost one of them about 5-6 months ago, the other one close to a year ago . This truly breaks my heart
@@roxanne1092 yes, I originally had them on Pedigree for adults, then switched them over to Purina One (True Instincts) brand 😩 thinking I was switching to a healthier option
It breaks my heart for you. I am so sorry for your losses. I cannot afford to nor do I have the health to make my dogs food. We need to pray and put Love over their food. Think like Dr. Emoto's experiment.
Lost my dog last September. He was eating Taste of the Wild. I still have the bag of food, and another unopened bag bought from around the same time. I'm thinking about getting it tested
I have been feeding mine Farmina N&D from Italy they were on Blue Buffalo but our small local pet store advised to get off of Blue buffalo. So not surprised to see it on the list.
Farming is now being made in Serbia and people have been having the same types of problems. I purchased a bag two weeks ago to transition off of Hills SD , But I decided against it after people started complaining about it, even people that had already been feeding this. Serbia is not an EU country, and probably doesn’t have to follow EU regulations.
@@lillieberger2883. I have been feeding my dogs a little Farmina. I will stop now that I am learning that they are making their food from less careful places with less quality sources. It is shameful.
I am just....reeling. We just buried our baby, Dukey December 13th, 2023.... He had extreme bloody diarrhea, bloody vomit, not eating, lethargic, everything you mentioned.... Took him to 2 different Vets, both said "We don't know, guess he just has a bad stomach" Then 4 weeks later after suffering, he cried all night, literal screams 😭 we rushed him to the Vet the moment they opened.... They said he was dying and said its best to put him down.... We have never been thru this, before....he was just a tiny, sweet, soft hearted baby that didn't deserve this. We thought we were doing good feeding him Purina 😢 This better stop.... it's unfair to these babies who rely on us to take care of them 😠
1/6/24 vet insisted on Hills OD kibble for pancreatitis. Scratching started immediately! Hot red belly lasted weeks. Pulling out hair until bleeding. Rubbing head on wall until skin came off, every day! Scabs under arms. Stopped all dry bag food 2/19/24. 2/27/24 all scratching stopped!!! No scratching 3 days now! Thanks for video!
I give my dog canned Hills Prescription for pancretitis ( I stopped the kibble). I also use/include organic white meat chicken, (cooked veggies)carrots, sweet potato, brocolli florets, green beans, greens and I found dehydrated chicken treats ( no additives, only chicken) made in Canada. I found using fiber mixed in the food helps bulk up dog's stools. Also a vitamin and probiotic daily. Dog has been doing well since his diagnosis of pancretitis a year and a half ago. I may try some dry Nutro food since she recommended it and see how he does. I need to not overdo the veggies and cause diareahea. I cut the chicken in chunks, boil it, drain meat, put chicken chunks on tray or plate in freezer. After chicken is frozen you can put in zip lock bags and the chicken won't stick together so you can take out what you need every day. Another dog I had was scratching from terrible yeast but it wasn't controlled by benedryl and ocassional cortizone injections as per vet. Sardines worked (fish oil/omega 3 fatty acids) My dog was40lbs and got 1/2 can sardines "in water" daily and a good food Nutro "Salmon and Sweetpotato" no grain. It helped a lot !
When they were serious chemical fires from trains, a lot of the chemical smoke settled on cornfields, which were then harvested and deemed not fit for human consumption so they were sent to the pet food manufacturers for pennies on the dollar.
bT field corn that develops black mold or aspergillis or spoils in silos or just drops on the ground contaminated with pesticides and insects is all still allowed to be used by animal feed processors.
Same, we just got new food to us, Blue Buffalo gave our dog lethargy, itchy skin and he stopped eating two days after we bought it. We can hear his tummy bubbling and making noises.
@@cangel201 I went out same day I posted and bought the nutrisource food and switched them over. They have been completely switched for a full week now. Everyone is eating. No more gurgles. No more wierd poops.
@@coltonlevi4385 I got Nutrisource. So far all three of my dogs are eating normal schedule each day. Skin looks good. Normal bathroom trips. I’m happy.
Blue Buffalo is a hot food for high energy dogs. If you give it to calmer or even smaller dogs, it can cause itching, lack of appetite, hair loss, and gut discomfort. If you want to shop Costco choices I switched to Nutra Nugget most recently and previously Kirkland Specialty Salmon (Blue Bag). Both have been good for Yorkies and a Double Doodle. Good hair, good weight, like the food.
I make my dogs food lean ground turkey or lean ground beef, brown rice, spinach, Peas and carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin. It takes an hour once a week and 3 to 4hours in crock pot❤
Its been going on longer than you think. It has gotten worse. My dog refuses all purina foods. So i gave it to others . Thought my dog was just bring picky.. those dogs wouldn't eat it either. This was a year ago. My dog when she first ate Purina (ive tried different purinas) she came down with lumps all over her body. Not itchy. Acted sick and stopped eating. Yes...they want our dogs gone. Investigate where the meat in the dog comes from...a deep dive. I was so sooo disgusted.
I believe it has been going on longer too. My cat was sick around September- October of last year. Every time I gave him instinct. It was the freeze dried kind. It had gone rancid and I didn't notice until I stuck my nose in the bag. They told me I just used it too slow. Saying you only have two weeks to use it. I never seen that on the package so I just assumed they must have been right. Maybe I did have it open too long. But now I think they may have been covering up for themselves. Because they asked me to return the product to Petco.
I lost one of my dogs, Dec24th, on Purina, he had these symptoms suddenly...I thought it was because of his old age...now I question. Since I have switched to Open Farm for my other 2 dogs and pray this is good for them.
Don’t blame your dogs passing away on Purina . This is fear mongering and hype created by a few people who have an agenda, greed. Dr Morgan is a scammer who is creating fear and anxiety for the sole purpose of directing people to her on line store saying “what I carry in my store is the only food I approve.” I expect a cease and desist letter with a threat of a lawsuit soon by the companies she has listed. Horrible person!
@@karenbee1898Feed your dogs real food instead of processed kibble. My dog eats sweet potatoes, rice, and chicken and has been for the past decade and a half.
You are not alone. At first I freaked out thinking someone tried to poison my beautiful dog but she refused the food. She literally in her own way told me I am not touching that $#it. She has been nursed back to health but it was rough going for about 3 days. Got rid of that food.
We almost lost our elderly dog from serving dog food we purchased from Sam's Club. Symptoms began immediately after feeding him this food: bloody diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, and anorexia. A few days later I discovered there was a recall on this food. I reached out to the dog food company, informing or our dogs response to their food. We have a Vet bill of $1200, their response was to take my info and stated they would get back to me. I have not heard from them almost a year ago.
I have an English Bulldog. She has been having seizures for the past 3 months now. We feed her Taste of the wild. She is only 2 years old. The vet told us it could be the Heartworm/flee/tick treatment. We have stopped that particularly brand and still having seizures. I will do more research on these issues with the foods. Thank you for your video.
I don't know if this is helpful or not...I adopted a puppy mill shih-tzu as a puppy. When she was around 6 years old she began having seizures. We couldn't figure out what was wrong. I went to the local feed store and mentioned it and they suggested it might be alfalfa. I had adopted a rabbit and rabbits eat alfalfa. Our dog was eating the rabbit poop. I took the rabbit back to rescue as I had no way to keep the rabbit poop away from the dog. Once our dog quit eating the rabbit poop (alfalfa) she quit having seizures. Using alfalfa in dog food is widespread. I cooked her food from scratch after that. There may be other ingredients that are common in dog food that is causing seizures in your dog and gradual elimination of individual ingredients is almost impossible.
My dog, Millie, has been eating "Taste of the Wild" dry dog food. I ran out of the last couple bags I bought for her in November 2023 and started her on a bag I bought January 15. The first coule days were fine on the new bag of food that I had started feeding her on January 29 then by February 1 she was only partially eating it and now she completely refuses to eat it as of February 6, 2024. I bought two bags at the time so I opened up the other bag and she refuses to eat that too. I am putting her fully on some home cooked food until I can get this sorted out. She is very hungry at the moment and otherwise seems fine. I am cooking her up some food right now.
@@kathywilliamson1826 I talked to my vet again about dog food problems. She saod that large dog food companies in general have numerous recalls and advisories about their dog foods. Since I started feeding Millie home cooked food her coat has slicked up and her itching has nearly completely disappeared.
I've been using Nutrasource for at least 10 years. My dog is a senior now and I switched to the senior food. I love Nutrasource and highly recommend it. My dog is a rescue, I got her at 10 weeks old. She has golden retriever in her, possibly spaniel and poodle, and who knows what else! She's 32 lbs. She's very sensitive to different foods and Nutrasource has been a perfect choice for her. Previous to using Nutrasource I used Orijen but quit because it upset her tummy. I use the Nutrasource canned food, too, for those special occasions.
This is why I feed my dog the same meats and frozen vegetables I myself eat. Human grade food is the end of the line... there is nothing safer. His Vet says "he eats better than me!" True. It's more cost effective but the beauty part is peace of mind. Make the switch and save your beloved dog's life.
@@barbarat5729You're not saying what you feed your dog... if it came out of a factory or an American meat processing plant of human grade food. You apparently feed your dog either dry dog food or canned. That's why there's dead dog's because their owners by factory made dog food where anything goes. Shop and you'll see that one beef steak is cheaper and safer than any can dog food portion for portion and kibble dog food isn't worth mentioning. If you saw how kibbles is made you'd know.
I hope you realize that your dog has different nutritional needs than you do. If you’re feeding your dog the same as what you eat you are probably missing key nutrients. Make sure your dog is getting the organ meats that most humans don’t like and avoid. Liver, lungs, heart muscle, kidneys, etc… all are highly nutrient dense and have vitamins, aminos, and minerals not present in regular whole muscle. Feeding your pet a whole food diet is great if you can afford it and have the knowledge to ensure they are getting all of the right vitamins, minerals, and aminos. Without the right balance you can do just as much harm as buying cheap processed foods.
@@jasonmelby6221 Off Topic. You can feed your dog what comes down a conveyor belt, but not me. And he gets a complete and well rounded diet. It's not even wise to say I should give my dog liver, lung, heart muscle, kidneys etc. simply because I won't eat that stuff... he's been getting these and more all along. I've had dogs more since I was 4 and have plenty of dog keepers I speak with every day on our walks. I don't need an education on dog nutrition.
@@oldmanjoe6808 no need to get so offended, you may be an exception, but it is naive to believe most people understand dog nutrition and without significant research it’s not hard to unintentionally cause harm to our beloved pets. O my gosh! Thank you! This may be the answer to what is wrong with my dog! We just paid $1300 for er care for my 14 year old dog who suddenly stopped eating. It was not long after our veterinarian prescribed Royal Caanan wet food and treats. We transitioned her food over about ten days. She was doing fine then refused to eat for four days. Even hand feeding chicken, she would just take a few bites. ER veterinary kept her and had an ultrasound done. They could not find anything except the mild kidney failure we knew about and the reason for changing food! Currently, I had been hand feeding her chicken and rice and shes now eating on her own.
I was feeding Taste of the Wild. My Boston has an enlarged heart and will see a dog cardiologist Friday. His life has been shortened! I was already researching how bad grain free food is and now this! I am so angry. Thank you for this information. If you hadn't researched and posted none of us pet owners would know.
Basically, grains help with the uptake of taurine. No grain means difficulty or little absorption which can lead to cardiac problems, particularly in larger breeds
Thanks for the information! I was just helping a customer earlier today switch her dogs off Acana… (I’m still bummed out that Acana and orijen got bought out by Mars!)
What!! Know that I really liked Orijen but my dog started to have problems with it so I had to get off of it but that was the best dog food for my dogs for a long long time.
I'd used Eukanuba 15 years ago and my 20 year old sheltie did great on it until time out ran him. Recently, I rescued a stray 8 months old pup and almost went to what I'd used before but the learned Mars bought the brand from P&G.
Very reasoned video. Hopefully, whatever is going on is figured out soon. It may or may not be the food. A year ago, one of my cats started throwing up anything I fed her. Wet, dry, even fresh chicken. Her sister continued to eat the same food without incident. I fed her nothing but raw ground beef and a little dry food for about five weeks. She has been fine ever since. My cats have been on a mostly homemade diet ever since. All pets are different. What works for one, may not work for another. It is up to us to do what is best for our pets.
Low grade Processed dog food is so toxic for your dog! I went to a dog food plant for work and it was rancid old food products and expired animal meats they were processing to extract the fats, protein and carbs, then they turned it into kibble. The place stunk so bad I would put vicks vapo rub in my face mask and it still stunk. I feed " Just for dogs" which is in the refrigerated section of petsmart and real healthy food along with high quality kibble with limited ingredients that are trustworthy. My dogs are much healthier now. Thank you for this video! (Also never feed any dogfood from China, it killed alot if animals years ago.)
This does not appear to be just low grade processed food. This includes high end as well. I've heard this could be coming from the company who supplies the vitamin spray that goes on the food

Last year when I got my new dog (after not having one for several years) I found myself in the pet food store puzzling over which bagged food to buy. I chose a fairly expensive one due to the healthy sounding and transparently sourced ingredients. Now I’ve adopted my original dog’s litter-mate/brother. With an extra mouth to feed, I was thinking of compromising and adding a cheaper food to the expensive one. Like one I could pick up at the supermarket when I didn’t have time to go to the pet store. Your video has changed my mind. I purchased “the list” you linked to. I am pleased that my first choice of the expensive food was one of the good ones and it is on the list. No more compromising and trying to save money. I’m fortunate to be in a position where I can afford to feed my pals quality food.

They always test for that…done every test possible…two dogs, two different breeds, two totally different ages. Get sick every 3-6 weeks (blood out both ends and barely move). Spent alot of money to keep my dogs alive this past year…3 different vet opinions…don’t know how much more we can handle. Have to stay in pet hospital for multiple nights with IV, antibiotics, and 24/7 watch (doggie ICU). It’s expensive! Can’t just be dog food on our end…we’ve tried everything possible (I don’t say that lightly). Same symptoms every time. Complete medical mystery!
I don't believe for a second parvo is a thing. I think all these easy. scapegoat " viruses" are just poison cover ups. But of course they want to further poisoning by injecting all kinds of vaccines. Bottom line when it comes to our pets is they are a huge money maker for a bunch of huge heart less industries.
I just went back to making homemade food for my dogs as nothing feels safe right now. Switched from Purina Pro Plan as it started making my dogs ill last year and went to Victor, dogs started refusing food… found out there was a recall… switched to Pure Balance Salmon, one of my dogs got extremely ill and I stopped feeding it immediately. Too many issues in a short period of time and feeling like a repeat of the menu foods situation all over again 😢
Peas, beans, pea starch, legumes, potatoes and sweet potatoes have replaced the grains as the carbohydrate in most dog foods. These block the function of taurine. Taurine deficiency and dilated cardiomyopathy
It’s really not as pure and great as it used to be because the brand was sold. It’s just like any other crappy dehydrated dog food. That’s mostly corn now.
I have fed my 5 year old Standard Goldendoodle NutriSource since he was a puppy, and he has thrived on it. His digestive health has been great and he loves the food.
PET Foods, NOT “Dog Foods”. These commercial PET foods are adversely affecting both dogs AND CATS. Why do people always disregards cats?? Cats are every bit as much in potential danger as are dogs and cat owners need this information just as much as dog owners do.
Last year there was a train disaster in East Palestine Ohio. The crops were contaminated as well as the soil and water. I did a check to see if Diamond Naturals purchased any ingredients or manufactured in this area. I feel with all of the other disasters happening that contaminate soil and water we possibly have an answer to what is poisoning our pets. I will be making my dogs food - great recipes on Dr. Andrew Jones channel.
Our healthy 10 month old great princess died suddenly. Took several days to find him as he wondered off to die. Didn't think of food until raccon got into remaining foog's bag and we found it dead by bag. This was Purina complete.
I have started making my dogs and cats food at home. They love it so much more than anything I've ever purhased them. Any recipes you, or anyone have and recommend please let me know.
I live in a city that has really bad water. High amounts of carcinogens. My dogs drink only good quality bottled water. Please check out the quality of the water in your area.
Great advice. A lot of male cats are developing urinary blockages, I attribute this to bad water and feeding them dry food. Cats ideally should get their moisture and hydration from their food, they should never be fed kibble. I distill my water and all my pets love it and are thriving.
I agreed with kibble from Science- Diet it gave our Golden Retriever diarrhea. Once we switched back to wet food his diarrhea stopped. Puppy Chow did the same to him and made him so bloated he could barely walk. Science Diet was recommended by our dog doctor and vet. Can't belive everything the vet and doctor advised. We're planing homemade food for him.i feel kibble us dangerous for pups I don't know for adult dogs since our is only 9 weeks.
I have 3 dogs who all were throwing up, diarrhea 2 of them had muscle weakness, all 3 of them refused food. My older doxie had a horrible seizure and had to be put to sleep 😢I took all of the dog food back to the store to be refunded. I fed them Purina One plus small breed.
New to your channel. This is great and super important information. Thank you so much. I'm shocked how many. This was really disturbing. Thank you again 🙏
We bought a bag of our usual kibble (Kirkland signature beef and sweet potato from Costco by diamond pet foods) which we mix with Steve’s raw beef. Dog first started to refuse this bag immediately. 3rd day threw up. 4th day vomiting and watery diarrhea. Put him on BRAT and he recovered in 2 days. When he started showing signs of illness I started searching the internet for any reports of food contamination and found nothing, but I sealed up and threw the remaining almost full bag in the garbage.
BRAT (Banana Rice Applesauce Toast) Please take the extra 2 seconds to spell it out; this is serious and you shouldn't assume others are familiar with an abbreviation.
I have been following this along , we are new pet parents , our dog was the chicken chow when we adopted her and we had switched over to a lamb recipe but she had so much itching so we put her back on what she was eating from shelter till she had what i think was a seizure, she was alseep she was shaking and breathing odd i woke her up but she wasnt their like and her eyes rolled it took a bit to get her back scared me so bad . Shes our first dog . My mom told me about the group on fb . So we quit the chow and shes on homemade now . Shes doing so much better and hasnt had another one .
Thanks so much for this, and especially for including a raw food option in your brand recommendations at the end. I’ve been feeding my girl Hill’s canned (sensitive stomach), but mostly Instinct (kibble w/freeze dried raw pieces, freeze dried raw toppers, & frozen raw chicken bites). She’s been on all of this for a while and I don’t see any physical issues if I don’t add in random treats, BUT recently she has been extra aggressive, more than I’ve ever seen her before. Not saying it’s due to her food, but it’s good to know I might not be feeding what’s best for her, so I gotta look into a change. And a vet behaviorist. And how to clone myself so I can work like 4 jobs to afford all this. 😭😆
I’ve been feeding my dogs Stella and chewys… they both have had tummy issues, including periodic bloody stool. I talked to my vet about it multiple times, and they didn’t seem concerned. i have been moving both of my dogs off of it, and I’ve been transitioning them both the 1/2 premade limited ingredient dog food and 1/2 raw food. I had no idea Stella and chew’s was on a list like this. I am hoping to have both my dogs on a spices appropriate homemade raw diet in the next few months as I continue to do more research on it. Veterinary clinics seem to have no actual regard for pet owners or their animals and only want to make a profit. Since transitioning away from conventional kibble, I have noticed much better coats on my dogs and much more consistent stools. I am eager to continue this process and see what other positive changes a good diet will bring.
We just recently lost our yorkie our baby. We thought we were feeding good dog food. She was healthy acting, having fun. Next thing she was so sick and passed away. We told the vet to try to save her at any cost. He couldn't save her.
I had heard negative things about Purina beneful and only fed my shih tzu Blue or Eukanuba. When he started to have bloody stool, I looked at his treats and found some were Beneful. I warned my ex about what I'd heard and stopped feeding him them and the problem quickly went away fortunately. I currently feed my dogs Gentle Giant, but also feed them veggies (they love carrots and celery) and to get them to come back into the house after being let out I've found Arby's roast beef works like a charm. A small sandwich between two dogs lasts 2 days or 6 unsupervised trips to the back yard.
UPDATE: Pittbull has made a full recovery and has more energy than ever! She had stopped eating in the Summer and couldn't keep anything down and the vet couldn't figure out why. She would only eat sweet potato and rice for a week, and then the wild boar + probiotics formula helped build her digestion back up (recovery was.... yikes). Now she is switched to a senior formula as she is now 8. Thank you for helping me help my pitty @TheTattooedDogTrainer
Thanks for the info. My dog gets Orijen kibble and Acana freeze dried treats! I’ll definitely go with one of your suggestions until more info is available. Thank you so much 👍🏼
Thank you so much for posting this! I feed my allergy suffering dog a combination of unique protein foods (avoiding chicken), so mix several different brands in a combo meal so he doesn't get tired of his food. I have been using the Acana Whole Grains blend as one of his foods and I did notice the past two months that he isn't as keen on finishing his meal as usual, and his stool is sometimes loose. I'm trading the Acana (sad; it was such a good brand, which he enjoyed) back to Honest Kitchen as the addition to the Earthborn mix that is the basis of his food.
This same thing happened back in 2008, 2009, somewhere around there...if this goes the same way, it will eventually spread beyond Purina. It wound up being a supplier which the vet in your story touches on. I was a practicing CVT at the time and I remember that it started with a few brands and by the time they tracked it back to the supplier it had encompasses most pet food brands ALL going through the same supplier. NONE of the pet food companies pulled their food pre-emptively. Every single one waited until reports of dogs getting sick from their food became plentiful, even after they should have known their food was likely contaminated. This went on for months and implicated most major manufacturers. I will say there were two brands that I know for sure we're not involved back then, and because I was in the industry, I dug deep into both brands and was assured that they would not be involved in a mess like this because of the way they source their ingredients/ make their food. However, one was Royal Canin and it is on the list this time 🤔😡 The other is likely still a good one though 1. Bil-Jac: It is a weird little dog food brand made in America, completely. It is made in small batches and it looks more like rabbit pellets than dog food. They have it at Pets Mart, and I talked to them directly during the last dog food crisis and they said they only source from here in America and they have personal relationships 2ith all their suppliers. The downside of Bil-Jac is that it is made in relatively small batches and they don't have the ability to scale up to mass production (which is why it is likely safe) but that means it can't support a massive uptick in customers. Still, my PetsMart always had a few bags in stock because Bil-Jac is more of a "feed store" or farm supply type brand and few average consumers know it even exists. The second caveat is that Bil-Jac is low grain, and it is soft-cooked, not hard-baked. Both of those are good things for digestibility and nutrition, and that is why I was feeding this obscure little brand BUT that makes for a soft rabbit pellet type kibble that is not as shelf-stable as most commercial dry foods. You can't store it in the heat , etc.
True. It was around 2007 or 2008 that nearly every pet food was contaminated with an ingredient sourced from China called melamine. It made the food appear to have more protein than it had in reality. Nearly EVERY BRAND contained it because all but one or two at the time bought their ingredients from one source. It may still be that way; I don't know. I lost one cat and another had to be hospitalized ($800) for about a week. She was saved and lived to be 17. I will start feeding my cats canned mackerel, tuna and chicken now, but they get bored with the same flavors very quickly. For some reason canned salmon isn't good for cats and although it's their favorite flavor cat food, they won't touch it. I will try fresh fish but they're spoiled and want gravy. Now I'm at a loss.
The problems can come from suppliers as well I would think. I just don’t understand - are they not mandated to test after processing and before. Shipment? I had a dog who suffered from high vitamin D but I really don’t know how something like that is missed especially if they say they test the ingredients. We need better regulations.
Here because my 17 yo Jack Russell started having seizures about 8 months ago. I've come to the conclusion finally that Pure Balance food was the issue. Avoid this food at all cost!
I had my dog eating the Kibbles and Bits dry kibble, he had random seizures. I took him to the vet and the vet could not help him because he did not have consecutive seizures. I started to research if maybe he was allergic to something in his food. I changed his food to FreshPet food and he was rid of the random seizures forever. The more Natural the food the better the animal is as nature intended.
@@coltonlevi4385 not sure because everything is pricey right now but I use Freshpet Vital Grainfree bison and beef refriderated dog food from Petsmart.
Thank you for this video. About 3 months ago my otherwise healthy Maltese developed a terrible case of diarrhea. It took two weeks and over $600 dollars in vets bills to bring him back to health. I was feeding him Hills and had just bought a new bag, I would also mix his kibble with a bit of homemade broiled chicken so my husband and I assumed it was the chicken he had become allergic to. The vet put him on low fact wet food from Royal Canine plus a bunch of medicines and antibiotic. I took my baby back to the vet couple of weeks ago for a bad cold and his weight had dropped to almost a pound, being a small breed I thought it was a huge drop. I told the vet I was going to start cooking for him, he was all against it, he said I wouldn’t know the right nutrients he needed it in his food in order to stay healthy. I was cooking homemade for him when I first got him and due to lack of time switched him to kibble. I looked at the vet, nodded in agreement, paid my huge bill, came home and next day I went shopping to make homemade food for him. I have learned a lot through videos like this one and others, I watch a nutritionist from the UK, and an American vet, here on You Tube, I still need to learn more but my little boy is doing good, I threw away the food with the issue so I have no evidence but I thank God I can help in keeping my dog healthy.
My chihuahua Betty has been a NutraSource dog since I adopted her from a shelter, they gave me free samples when I brought her home, they also fed her NutraSource from the time she was weaned. She is incredibly healthy, my vet actually recommended NutroSource over their science diet food sold at the clinic! Betty also gets carrots, fruits and scrambled eggs (no seasonings at all), yes, NutroSource is a bit pricey, around $25 for a 5lb bag, but she's a 4.5 lb Chihuahua so her food lasts her about a month, which I find reasonable. Our Betty is my Service Dog/Diabetic Alert Dog so good nutrition is an absolute must for her! My previous Service Dog was also a Chihuahua, we lost him at 5 mths due to liver failure (it was from a birth defect). We were devastated at his loss. I'm a Dog Trainer and have trained dogs since I was young. I did animal rescue through the local Humane Society and the local rescues where I lived, all my fosters were AKC trained and left my home to go to their forever home's fully trained. I have trained Service Dogs, but my 2 service dogs for Diabetic Alert Service have been my pride and joys and my personal alert dogs! I have been amazed at the ease of training and natural abilities of the Chihuahua breed, I am now a firm believer in the Chihuahua breed! I am a true Believer in the NutroSource Pet Foods, I only wish I had known about it when my first Service Dog, Chihuahua, was still living, perhaps it could have helped with his liver failure. But my current SD Betty is healthy, smart and strong and our family Vet is amazed at her condition and intelligence, all she attributes to her diet and the NutroSource dog food! I can't recommend it enough! Right now she's on the puppy formula and I plan to feed it until she is a yr old or when my vet tells me to advanced to the NutraSource adult food. We are lucky to have a PetSense Store in our town and a manufacturer a few miles down the road from us. Betty is set for life! I 100% recommend NutraSource Petfoods !
My service dog was given blue buffalo when he was a puppy. My pet store told me to switch to nutri source. That's it's better than blue buffalo and actually cheaper. He's 120 lbs Rottweiler so better food and cheaper is a not even a choice. He eats more and better than I do
My dog was on a Merrick grain free dog food for many years. I noticed she was getting SOB and very fatigued, myself being a cardiovascular nurse, she looked like my patients that were in Herat failure. I did an online research and found out our U.S. government was doing research on grain free dog food because of many unusual dogs dying from Cardiomyopathy! Took her to her vet and sure enough that is what was wrong with her. She passed away a year after diagnosis and was the greatest 70 lb PitBull. She was 9 yrs old. The studies that were shown said that it is possible that the grain free food was lacking Taurine, which dogs need?
Thankyou for talking about this. There are so many coverups out there trying to keep things like this quiet, so the public dosen't know until it gets deep, and could affect their pets. I tried telling some people, and they don't even want to hear about it, and some people are thankful to know.
My dog died last year. I would give her only food from these companies. We were so careful with what we gave her. She had all the symptoms on the list before she died. 😢
My Rottweillers got very sick on Optimizer pellets. 3 years ago started feeding meat and vegetables. Both dogs are 11 going on 12 and in excellent health.
My border collie mix and maltipoo was having bloody stools clear back in July from Purina Dogfood. I ended up having to making them their own bland food for a couple weeks until their gastrointestinal tract healed then switched to Nature’s Recipe they’ve been doing great! Never changing to anything else plus their skin issues disappeared as well.
Diamond Natural gave me a lot of issues, I made a post on reddit and was flooded with people having the same issues also. Diarrhea, Vomiting, blood in stool etc
I know you do this just for dogs but recently my cat started vomiting a lot. My cat never throws up. I just recently changed her food to Taste of the Wild. Tomorrow I’m getting her old cat food! Many thanks!
Zed used to eat Purina pro plan exclusively. I link it to the problem they had recently with dog food that had weird crap they found in itin the base material that the manuf. then used as a base for their particular flavorings in their food.Otherwise he was a normal health energetic dog until all of a sudden he wasn't.@@KindCountsDeb3773
I go by a rule that dog food is around $2.00 per pound. Chicken, chicken liver, beef liver, tuna, ground Turkey and ground beef all around $2.00 per pound with exception of grnd beef given only 1-2 times a week. I mix rice, green beans or peas with chicken or beef broth or bone broth (low sodium) Mixed with a little dry dog food (about 10% at the most)
I’ve read through the entire list provided by Dr. Morgan ‘Who Owns your pets food’. I don’t see Stella & Chewy anywhere on it. I’m curious as to how they got on the list of bad foods??? I can only add that my Dog has eaten Stella & Chewy for several years with no problems.
Although kibble seems to be at the heart of the problem, several months ago my dog who has been on canned dog food for the past year, would begin vomiting within an hour or so of having a newly opened can of food. In each instance, they were major brands (Iams, Blue Buffalo, etc.) which she had had before without a problem. The first 2x she also had her heartworm pill right after. So I became suspicious of those and stopped them till I could solve the problem. One morning, within an hour of waking even before she had eaten anything she went into a reclusive trembling state. I spent the day trying to find a vet to see her. When I shared this with a friend who for years has been nursing her cat with advance kidney disease, she remarked that my dog's symptoms sounded as if she had been poisoned. That was unlikely given that all her outdoor exposure is at the end of a leash and indoors, given her maturity she is not all that inquisitive, nothing toxic is left accessible to her and my cleaning solutions are natural vinegar based. I had begun to question whether she might be allergic to some ingredient that is commonly used to formulate canned dog foods. After the last incident, I stopped feeding any canned food and have been feeding her turkey, rice & carrot and occasional plain yogurt till I can find a manageable homemade alternative. She has also begun refusing nearly all kibble type treats which she previously liked. The vet offered samples of Hills and Royal Canin. But after learning about how widespread this pet food problem is. I am not inclined to invest in anything but homemade.
Great recommendations for alternative brands! I’ve had good experiences with both nutrisource and Fromm personally! They’re both really great mid price range options!
This is so helpful to send to people like my mom, who is trying to feed better kibble so just switched to Orijen. I told her about the Mars thing, but she wasn’t super worried. This video is helpful so she can see why the ingredient changes do matter. She’s getting Nature’s Logic mixed with Primal now 😊
A Few Common Questions:
Does this apply to cats as well?
Yes, it absolutely does apply to cats as well!!!
Avoid the same brands for all their cat food, dry, wet, treats and all products.
@magali.bazzano I'm so sorry for your loss... Until you meet again... ❤🙏
OH, bless you and your sweet dog.....I am so sorry, but you will see your doggie in heaven in bliss....
So sorry...my heart goes out to you...❤
This is what I think Chinese imports cause, because of the type of "preservative" they use in a lot of things. After the first outbreak several years back, they reduced the amount but didnt change the type of preservative. Trick will be in finding out where the pet food comes from. Actress Katherine Haigle is in the "safe" dog food business now. Look her brands up.
I am so sorry.
I've fed my dog table food, mostly meat and fat, for years. Although his eyes are cloudy, he's fit, at 16 years old
Yeah, I never fully understood why many vets back in the day were adamant about not feeding table food and insisting only processed dog food or specialty dog food.
Our foods are also poisoned. Things are horrible that all foods make us and animals sick and due.
Smart
@@janelllovin4983 I don't over feed. Like I said I'm careful what I feed him and limit when he eats.
Good man
factory dog food is all the left over parts from dead animals including any tumors they cut out of the dead cows, pigs or chickens. they throw some of those tumors into sausage and hamburger too because its all about making money
Interesting and sickening to know. But not surprised. Thanks for sharing. I hope your livestock are doing well and healthy now

It's the vaccines, too. They do not need a rabies shot every year. Many of the vaccines are unnecessary. A Dr, Jones on YT will tell you which ones to pass on.
They are doing the same to us.
Do not send them the bag. Put sine in a zip link and write the product number etc but keep the bag so you have the initial fir proof.
Some farmers discovered that the chicken feed from Purina stopped the chickens laying eggs ! They switched brands and they started laying eggs again !
My friend chickens stopped laying eggs from feeding Purina ❤
Yep and they did it all on purpose because egglands best had a huge free range chicken farm coming online. Its the _ _ _ _ _ _ business model deciet. Just like their other business banking.
Same. After I started fermenting it they started to lay consistently again

Grass fed meat and eggs...everything else is poison. And, with our destroyed & depleted soil, you'll still need to add magnesium. Our food supply is actually human self immolation.
Distill your water. For you and your pets.
Feed quality fresh meat veggies eggs fish no kibble it's ultra highly processed rubbish!
What about Cat foods?
I have had my Cats become sick from a feed store pet food called Wholesomes Chicken & Rice.
U are an awesome momma to your fur baby! This story warms my heart. Thnx 4 sharing.🫡🥰

I think this is a good wake up call to realize that "pet food" can't be trusted. It's time to start feeding our pets REAL FOOD.
People food also wake up
unfortunately, not everyone can afford to fed their pets special food or make their pet's food themselves
We are on one tight income with 5 pets. It's 100% about priorities.@@nospoonfulofmayonnaiseforme
Yes our food supply is so tainted.@@judymeek5732
Stella and chewys? Darn it
:( About two years ago, I put my dog was on very expensive perscription Hills Science Diet for kidney disease - he was doing quite well but began developing muscle weakness which I attributed to the kidney disease.
Science diet is poison. Dogs shouldn't be eating corn meal . All disease begins in the gut.
Our Bronson has been on Prescription u/d food for the past 6 years. I am worried Bout him at 13. I have avoided making my own food for him due to his condition.
I had trouble with Hills Science diet too , I believe that my Beagles bone density problem was due to her Science diet.
Sadly, not everyone is able to afford to pay for "the List"
Thankfully, due to these vids, more people will be informed of what's happening.
Kudos to you❤
Sadly that's true, I know people these days that are eating gravy train thanks to our current administration.
Oh my goodness! I lost 2 pets back to back…both with these symptoms. I’m curious if this has been ongoing issue…I lost one of them about 5-6 months ago, the other one close to a year ago . This truly breaks my heart
Was any of the food…Purina made? Maverick made my dog sick.
@Roxanne, yes, several Purina brands, and the list may not yet be complete.
Its covered in this video.
Lost my dog last September. He was eating Taste of the Wild. I still have the bag of food, and another unopened bag bought from around the same time. I'm thinking about getting it tested
Our South African Mastiff lived till 13 and all he had to eat was raw food and some table scraps.
Took him to 2 different Vets, both said "We don't know, guess he just has a bad stomach"
Then 4 weeks later after suffering, he cried all night, literal screams 😭 we rushed him to the Vet the moment they opened....
They said he was dying and said its best to put him down....
We have never been thru this, before....he was just a tiny, sweet, soft hearted baby that didn't deserve this.
We thought we were doing good feeding him Purina 😢
This better stop.... it's unfair to these babies who rely on us to take care of them 😠
I had to learn the hard way too. I'm sorry about your baby. Homeade for the rest of our dogs. Enough is enough.
Sorry for yur loss. TY for the info.

Thank you for keeping people updated about this case!
When they were serious chemical fires from trains, a lot of the chemical smoke settled on cornfields, which were then harvested and deemed not fit for human consumption so they were sent to the pet food manufacturers for pennies on the dollar.
Great observation. This is a likely theory
bT field corn that develops black mold or aspergillis or spoils in silos or just drops on the ground contaminated with pesticides and insects is all still allowed to be used by animal feed processors.

Recently my 6 year old dog passed away due to sever and strange seizures. I had been feeding him Acana food for 4 years. This is very concerning.
I had to say goodbye to my 8-year-old dog in October 2023. I had been feeding her Acana. Bloody stool. Diagnosis was colonic carcinoma.
Seizures?....How many vaccines has he had. Be careful.
Why would the pet food companies want to kill our pets.😊
Our dogs had these symptoms recently. We thought it was just us. Thank you!
Be sure to fill out the survey if you find the time, even if you feed a different food than the ones listed!

Are you using scented oils for your house, definitely will cause seizures in your pets

How is that more cost-effective?

That is the exact same symptoms of PARVO
Bloody diarrhea is definitely a Parvo symptom, bloody vomit is not a common symptom.
Blood in their stool is not always a parvo indication, it's an indication it could be but can be ruled out with testing at the vet.
It’s one of the first things every vet has tested for with both of mine.

Shes our first dog . My mom told me about the group on fb . So we quit the chow and shes on homemade now . Shes doing so much better and hasnt had another one .
Most dogs are allergic to chicken including their eggs. Google it.
A lot of dogs have issues with lamb.
Are you using scented oils to make your house smell good, really effects pets, especially tree tea is fatal to dogs.
Thank You For All You Do For Us/me! 💙
I'm sorry
I had heard negative things about Purina beneful and only fed my shih tzu Blue or Eukanuba. When he started to have bloody stool, I looked at his treats and found some were Beneful. I warned my ex about what I'd heard and stopped feeding him them and the problem quickly went away fortunately. I currently feed my dogs Gentle Giant, but also feed them veggies (they love carrots and celery) and to get them to come back into the house after being let out I've found Arby's roast beef works like a charm. A small sandwich between two dogs lasts 2 days or 6 unsupervised trips to the back yard.
Eukanuba was bought by Mars from P&G a few years ago. Mars also has brands on the bad list, acana and orijen.
Thank you so much for all the info! Switching to Nutrisource as I found a local supplier! Yay ❤
THATS BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY 4 COMPANIES MAKING ALL BRANDS OF DOG FOOD
IS CHINA INVOLVED?
what about the many Independent brands?
Once you watch "Pet Fooled" you'll never look at some kibble brands the same again

I switched 4 health salmon and Potatoe to Fromm salmon A la Veg.. And then i saw your video.. Glad i made the switch...Keep up the good work...
Thanks for the info. My dog gets Orijen kibble and Acana freeze dried treats! I’ll definitely go with one of your suggestions until more info is available. Thank you so much 👍🏼
My kitten was on Purina kitten food at the shelter. I pulled her off this food as soon as I got her home at 8 weeks.
Usually, allergies are to the grain and other fillers.
@@rp8211allergies also from denatured and hydrolyzed protein, like the over processed garbage found in pet foods.
First Mate user here and have been super happy with this product.
Me too! I buy the duck with pumpkin
So sorry your doggie was having seizures😢I just started my new doggie on kibbles n bits. Thank you for your information, I'm going to switch now.
What would you recommend that isn’t too pricey? 😬

I was surprised to see Stella and Chewys on the list. I don’t use it but years ago I used it as bait in show rngs
Our holistic vet years ago warned us if grain free dog food contained legumes, which block a key nutrient leading to heart damage.
😢😢😢😢
My Rottweillers got very sick on Optimizer pellets. 3 years ago started feeding meat and vegetables. Both dogs are 11 going on 12 and in excellent health.
I'm glad you put Fromms on that list because we've been feeding our dogo per the advisement of our breeder that food since he was a pup.
I switched to Fromms many years ago my GSD’s love it and I believe it’s reasonably priced as well
I use fromm now for about 5 yrs and thankful i haven’t seen them on recalls before
So Fromms was on the list? Or not?@@Drew-oh7fr
They are?
My border collie mix and maltipoo was having bloody stools clear back in July from Purina Dogfood. I ended up having to making them their own bland food for a couple weeks until their gastrointestinal tract healed then switched to Nature’s Recipe they’ve been doing great! Never changing to anything else plus their skin issues disappeared as well.
Diamond Natural gave me a lot of issues, I made a post on reddit and was flooded with people having the same issues also. Diarrhea, Vomiting, blood in stool etc
I'm so glad you did a video on this. I've been following this issue for weeks and have been a part of Kelly's group for at least a year.
I know you do this just for dogs but recently my cat started vomiting a lot. My cat never throws up. I just recently changed her food to Taste of the Wild.
Tomorrow I’m getting her old cat food! Many thanks!
Just got the word from my daughter that her dog got really sick, out of the blue and they had to put him down. RIP Zed. DC
So sorry to hear this, deecee. 😢
any clue as tyo why? Just an Obit doesn't help us figure it out. Sorry it did happen. Was the dog eating a particular brand? RIP
Thank you, for the information, hon. I appreciate it. So does my Staffordshire.
I go by a rule that dog food is around $2.00 per pound. Chicken, chicken liver, beef liver, tuna, ground Turkey and ground beef all around $2.00 per pound with exception of grnd beef given only 1-2 times a week. I mix rice, green beans or peas with chicken or beef broth or bone broth (low sodium) Mixed with a little dry dog food (about 10% at the most)
What do you do for calcium?

Hi Sunkissed. I need a hug. My fur baby passed away yesterday. I had him 12 years. My heart hurts.
I was thinking of switching over to this brand so curious too
It was recommended until people were reporting the same symptoms as the other foods, so it's no longer on the good list.
Thank you my dog died today after eating Pure balance for the first time. I am devastated and angry. I wish I would have known this sooner.
Thank you for keeping us informed!
Thank you for the comment! Was just looking at nutrisource & found a seller within 20 miles of my small town.
Me too
Nutrisource adds taurine as well-I recommend it-so do my dogs!!
This is so helpful to send to people like my mom, who is trying to feed better kibble so just switched to Orijen. I told her about the Mars thing, but she wasn’t super worried. This video is helpful so she can see why the ingredient changes do matter. She’s getting Nature’s Logic mixed with Primal now 😊
Food prepared in America is not worthy of human consumption, let alone a pet. As far as "pet food" I wouldn't feed that to a dog!!
I just bought Sundays raw dog food for my 11 yr old dog who turns 12 in 3 months. Im concerted...😮😢
