You could use them in any zone to turn them from a normal place to a beautiful landscape! However, if you DIDN’T find them, little planet would be turned into an industrial hell. Your information is slightly innacurate. Sonic uses the time stones to travel to the past. He then destroys the machines that eggman put in the past. For this reason, the location gets a good future. However, if you do NOT travel to the past and fix it, it will turn to a mechanical hell because nothing but sonic using the time stones can stop eggman.
Eggmans’s peak was easily sonic adventure 2 I know that game was during the time sonic was a lot more “edgy” and serious story wise but it feels like eggman had enough of sonics shit and losing to him he held Amy at gunpoint got the best of tails and damn near won if it wasn’t for Gerald robotniks doomsday project sending the ark to crash into earth I think eggman would have won

That's how you get a good future, by getting all of the time stones or destroying the generators. Not sure if that was another form of media.

If you don't want to be bothered with going to the past of every non-boss act to ensure a good future in that zone, collecting all the Time Stones will ensure that the good futures are created, thus netting you a good ending.
Imagine being a kid in the mid 90s getting very frustrated over the final boss, spending months trying to beat him, the you finally beat him and you are on top top of the world for a few seconds and then seeing the credits. Then you realize all that frustration was for nothing. I would sink my teeth into my 32x if that had happend to me.
Dang, Chaotix was such an underrated game. The mechanics with the Combi Rings weren't liked by most players, and like mentioned on the video, it didn't help that it was on a pretty much doomed console, the 32x. Still, the graphics were so colorful, even more than the Genesis's. It wasn't that big of a difference, but for those players who cares, it was a large difference. The soundtrack was awesome, too. Honestly, I loved the game. One of Sega's underrated gems, definitely. ...Ahem, despite that bad ending being really creepy for Sonic standards, I just loved that Metal Sonic final form burning down that city. Call me sadistic or anything, but it just looks badass.
Thanks for making this video. I remember watching my brother play this game and he got the bad ending. Due to us being really young, it really scared us. Rather than let it discourage him though, it motivated him to playthrough the game a couple more times to finally get the good ending. Memories :')
Here's what I thought would have happened. No Chaos Rings: Similar to this game's bad ending. 1-5 C. Rings: Robotnik failed to get the rings to their maximum power, and the battle rages on. All 6: You manage to stop robotnik after the final battle somehow.

But no Metal Sonic Kai is not the terrifying form. Kai just means revised, which makes sense as he is in a new rebuilt body, or also can mean world or world king, so World King Metal Sonic could also mean that. At least that's what I've found. Whether that is right, I don't know. By the way, a little more on the story: Eggman(not Robotnik, as he was never Robotnik in Japan(though I use Robotnik for Archie continuity)) found a ring on the newly uncovered Island, with information inscribed on it. After further research on the island, he found a Special Ring, once used by the Knuckles Clan, and resembles a Super/Giant Ring, often used to access special stages. The ring resonated with the Pillar(SA(DX) Master Emerald Shrine, and is the original shrine, with Hidden Palace being a secure emergency location) and created the Chaos Rings. The six rings are used by Robotnik and studied, where he created Dark RIngs to fuel his Badniks(which appear when the badnik is destroyed, but quickly dissapate into dis-existence). After Metal Sonic Kai is beaten, he uses the Special Ring to create the monstrous Titan Metal Sonic. WHo destroys everything if you don't have the Chaos Rings.

there's a creepy good ending with two games that are really related. kirby's return to dreamland and Kirby super star ultra. note i do not mean Kirby super star, as the final bosses aren't the same. you know what's so creepy about both bosses? tough you'd get a good ending either way, Marx soul and Magolor soul let out disturbing and creepy death screams. Marx soul flat out ear rapes you, but Magolor soul screamed out Kirby twice. the second time more distorted than the other. i sort of just came up with that.

In sonic 4 little planet is normal but it still has stardust speedway bad future for some reason... my theory is that stardust speedway is stuck in some sort of time loop that won't let the future change there, but for all the other acts, the future did change since sonic destroyed all the bakniks in the other acts, but he didn't completely destroy metal sonic, only severely damaging him. So what do you think about this theory? Is it good I would love some sort of feed back.

I was looking for this. Also, I think the bad ending is better than the good one. At least you get something out of it. If I were to improve the good ending, I'd have a Mega man style ending, with each of the Chaotix members walking away from the burning ash-covered rubble from what used to be Super Metal Sonic while a remix of the title screen music plays.

do sonic cd's bad ending with the jp soundtrack. you see little planet swirl back to mobius soon after it is freed. it is back in it's metallic casing and chained to mobius. there is ominous music. when you see it back in its position, there is a bang. and to top it all off, robotnik laughs maniacally, which is the only time where that laugh is actually creepy

Not really. You probably don't know this but there were actually unused sprites of MS Kai's head with tubes around its neck which could've been its escape sequence. Plus he wasn't destroyed, he reverted back to his normal and with Eggman's Special Ring, he can transform again if all Chaos Rings weren't collected.

From all Sonic games this is the most creepy ending and worst scenario in the series in Bad Endings category literally Metal Sonic burns down a city with the Creepy music and seeing the City and what's worse you can't fix it and the Credits with it too and this will most likely traumatiz a child
Theory: Project Sonic 2017 will be the sequel to this game, where Super Metal Sonic is still burning the city with a bunch of upgraded Death Egg Robots joining him, and Sonic and Co. must once again do their job. Knuckles survives, but the Chaotix's status is unknown (Which explains the disappearance of Mighty) while Classic Sonic joins the bunch to replace them. Yeah I pretty much gave out the plot.
A list of things Chaotix did first but Sonic Heroes did better: 1. Teamwork mechanic 2. Chaotix characterization (no seriously, the versions of the characters in that game are VERY different and not as rounded as the ones used from Heroes onward) 3. Ending hope (mostly by needing all the Chaos Emeralds to unlock the true ending in Heroes) 4. Metal Sonic transformation (Kai might be demonic, but Metal Madness/Metal Overlord is cooler by far). 5. Canonicity (Officially speaking, Heroes "retgonned" Chaotix, but the Easter Eggs with Mighty in Generations make this less cut-and-dry than it seemed at first).
Gordon Taylor Sonic Heroes could still work as a retcon for Knuckle's Chaotix, since Mighty's actual first appearance was in the arcade game SegaSonic The Hedgehog, which is even more obscure.
It's funny that mighty was going to be in heroes with Ray and oddly enough Metal Sonic, I have no clue how that would've worked in terms of story since Metal Sonic is the antagonist but I would've been for it

I was looking for this. Also, I think the bad ending is better than the good one. At least you get something out of it. If I were to improve the good ending, I'd have a Mega man style ending, with each of the Chaotix members walking away from the burning ash-covered rubble from what used to be Super Metal Sonic while a remix of the title screen music plays.
I think he wanted super Metal Sonic to stop but he just kept the world of a flame for no reason

do sonic cd's bad ending with the jp soundtrack. you see little planet swirl back to mobius soon after it is freed. it is back in it's metallic casing and chained to mobius. there is ominous music. when you see it back in its position, there is a bang. and to top it all off, robotnik laughs maniacally, which is the only time where that laugh is actually creepy

We need to bring this game back. I'm sure at some point nintendo will put it on the switch but it will give everyone a chance to play it. Also, we need a sonic game that uses the chaos rings again cuss this is the only game I know that has them.

Not really. You probably don't know this but there were actually unused sprites of MS Kai's head with tubes around its neck which could've been its escape sequence. Plus he wasn't destroyed, he reverted back to his normal and with Eggman's Special Ring, he can transform again if all Chaos Rings weren't collected.

From all Sonic games this is the most creepy ending and worst scenario in the series in Bad Endings category literally Metal Sonic burns down a city with the Creepy music and seeing the City and what's worse you can't fix it and the Credits with it too and this will most likely traumatiz a child
Theory: Project Sonic 2017 will be the sequel to this game, where Super Metal Sonic is still burning the city with a bunch of upgraded Death Egg Robots joining him, and Sonic and Co. must once again do their job. Knuckles survives, but the Chaotix's status is unknown (Which explains the disappearance of Mighty) while Classic Sonic joins the bunch to replace them.

A list of things Chaotix did first but Sonic Heroes did better:
1. Teamwork mechanic
2. Chaotix characterization (no seriously, the versions of the characters in that game are VERY different and not as rounded as the ones used from Heroes onward)
3. Ending hope (mostly by needing all the Chaos Emeralds to unlock the true ending in Heroes)
4. Metal Sonic transformation (Kai might be demonic, but Metal Madness/Metal Overlord is cooler by far).
5. Canonicity (Officially speaking, Heroes "retgonned" Chaotix, but the Easter Eggs with Mighty in Generations make this less cut-and-dry than it seemed at first).
Gordon Taylor Sonic Heroes could still work as a retcon for Knuckle's Chaotix, since Mighty's actual first appearance was in the arcade game SegaSonic The Hedgehog, which is even more obscure.
It's funny that mighty was going to be in heroes with Ray and oddly enough Metal Sonic, I have no clue how that would've worked in terms of story since Metal Sonic is the antagonist but I would've been for it
