One of my favorite Sonic games, its also partially developed by those who designed Sonic CD which may explain a few reoccurring enemies and graphical art being VERY abstract and colorful, I give this game a solid 8/10 for generally well and explorative stages, far better gimmick fights than CD and generally being very forgiving
Sonic universe used to be surreal and abstract in the classic era, but Sega made it realistic for some reason. Also Chaotix is my fav sonic game too, and i agree with you.
This game needs a remake more than any other game. Its only on the 32x which failed and nobody really got to play it 😢 If they remade CD theres no reason not to remake chaotix
Great playthrough, i personally liked this game i think it's underrated, i know people have problem with the gameplay mechanic and how it was executed and i can understand that but the visuals, characters aesthetics and music really gave this game charm and personality that i think people should appreciate more, besides this game introduced team chaotix ( one of the best teams in the franchise imo).

@@NeoRageCH it comes with a cast cast that is what I’d like to call the classic chaotix not to be confused with sonic heroes and the fact that it was not really rereleased is pretty much making the game where to get the only real way to play it is by cartridge on a Sega genesis with a 32X attached or by emulators
Fun fact: the actual phase three of metal sonic in sonic mania was inspired in metal sonic kai (da final boss) just that in mania its blue and its called " giga metal" instead of metal sonic kai
my idea of the boss is that the characters have to race eggman until he crashes with a wall when the race finishes. also knucks and partners have to score hits to the boss during the race
Game is insanely well made ( even if the level design is a bit confusing and boring sometimes ). They put a lot of effort in the graphics and sound, bur the ending is quite disappointing
@@sega641 i know the ring tether mechanic is like the schtick of knuckles chaotix but the problem is that, it gets really pitiful when you get someone like heavy or bomb (i think thats their names) and is confusing to use (however the bosses sometimes utilize it well) another thing is the spin dash is really pitiful, the most you can do really for speed is running or if the ring mechanic lets you speed up
I personally wish that the scrapped boss the sonic Cd forgotten round 2 (r2) was the boss of speed slider, that boss is a eggmobile wa giant motorcycle wheel under the main vehicle
@@NeoRageCHI think it means that they were playing in PAL 50hz instead of NTSC 60hz, 50 makes the game slower if not work properly with it. So they were probably playing the game slower and didn’t realized until later.
The thing that always annoys me is they’ve had from 1995 when the game came out to 2024 to add the game into any of the sonic compalations I really feel this game will always just be a relic of history and of days gone by it’s sad as I think a lot of people would enjoy playing this in the modern era and getting to see how simple gaming was back then sadly so many great games have never been given a second day in the sun

Boss cutscenes are very good!! Really shows what Sega Genesis is capable of with some extra power.
Honestly even they could be better. 32x isn’t being used to its fullest. This entire game during gameplay is a peice of cake for the 32x.
