I love the realistic approach of your videos. You definitely are an example to what most women actually use . Most youtubers are unrealistic with the amount of products they use . You look great without the 100 layers .
Amazing how simple and gorgeous your routine is. Would love to see a video about what you look for or are trying to avoid when you shop for your products. I know that you have covered bits and pieces here and there in previous videos but a fully dedicated video would be extremely educational. Thank you so much for doing these and sharing your knowledge with all of us!
Great video Dr Sam. Also could not help but notice your beautiful new bathroom. As a person who loves her soaking baths, I can appreciate your thrill at finally having a proper bathtub in your new place. I know it's off topic but I'd love a home tour!
Love your look! Thanks for all your tips. Please could you make a video about how to make the most of paler skin. After spending years trying to make my skin look darker with fake tan I've decided to embrace my paler skin!
I think fair skin is beautiful. I finally embraced mine and lo and behold I get compliments. I think my years as a kid and the teasing and no “Hollywood” support made me try changing myself. Now I’m disappointed I ever fell for it. Celebrate it!!
This is a great video. I love your simplistic approach to make-up and how the emphasis is on highlighting natural beauty. Also, I think it's funny that your mom thinks your brows are going wild. That bit made me laugh, because you have great brows. I am currently letting my brows grow in and do their own thing because I overdid it with some waxing. Once they fill back in, I'll pluck the stragglers ND leave the rest alone. Of course - I have one that grows with a nice natural arch, and the other grows almost straight across. Lol!
I always love your videos! I've been watching since my third baby was a newborn last summer, and your tips have changed my skincare. Turning 35, I felt I needed to add some more serious anti-aging, but felt overwhelmed. I too am a minimalist and a fan of barely there makeup, so instantly clicked with you. Love how particular you are about the details and the tips you give to other, um, particular people. Thanks for sharing your expertise! (Even with a stay at home mom of three toddlers living on an Alaskan island!)
Dear Dr. Sam, you are delightful! I so enjoy watching your videos, this one made my day! Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us and for letting us have a peek into your life. Much appreciated! ❤️
Thank you for sharing this. I'm aspiring to keeping my makeup routine as simple as you've perfected here. You have the exact colouring as me. When I was younger, I was taught to bring the blusher brush down my neck, from the bottom of each ear to the centre of the collar bone and then across, from left to right (as if blushing a line from shoulder to shoulder). This ensures a continuation of healthy glow and helps counter the redness that is concentrated in our faces (hope that makes sense! and is as helpful to you as it was me).
You are so beautiful Sam! Please do a desk to bar type makeup showing us what you would add or change. Your skin is lovely and natural. I was interested to see you don't use powder? I personally feel like I can't not use powder because I hate the mirror reflective thing my face does after a few hours! however I use blotting papers throughout the day because I don't like layers of powder on my skin.
I appreciate your videos so much! I've learned a lot from watching them! Also scolding, when it's coming from a good place in your heart is so needed at times! I absolutely l ove constructive criticism! ❤👌 Thank you for taking time out of your day for us!
Love it so much! You actually used most of the products I tend to wear everyday. The Sisley and Burberry being my favorites! Would love to try the D&G brow liner. I think we have similar skin tones so would love your recommendations for foundation. I usually wear the Sisley phyto teint eclat in 1. Thank you so much and have a lovely weekend!
this was GREAT. i dont know how you managed to do your full face so nicely in about 10minutes :/ it takes me way longer. could you tell me how i can repair my skin after using either strong benzol creams or picking breakouts or just breaking out quite badly, afterwhich the skin feels really damaged?
Thank you, this is a lovely video; I really enjoy your approach to make-up. When my skin is good, this is the look I love, but unfortunately I'm having some side effects from long term ill health and required prescription meds. Having dry skin and breakout/reactions is not a combination that improves self confidence! Thankfully I think I've found a specialist medical practice to help out, including the skin damage from life in high UV and a quite dry part of Australia. I'm 43, so while hats were a staple of my childhood, sunscreen was only used in holidays and people thought my Mum was weird for insisting on it then! Do you think you could do a video about caring for skin during long term illness, perhaps including some thoughts on supportive supplements?
I'm Irish and have very pale skin with a lot of redness on the cheeks and nose, is there anything that can help reduce the redness? I don't drink alcohol.
Simple, fresh and lovely:) I also use very little of makeup cause I like the natural look. Often I wonder why am I using even that much as I can't, any longer, "hide" certain things on my face, but I feel better knowing that I at least tried:))) You are much younger and obviously took proper care of your skin for years, maybe that's why in my case it doesn't work the same way?:)))
We all have the bits we'd like to be better.....I think it's so important to keep the perspective that others have when looking at ourselves. The 3 pillars of beauty at any age video I did a while ago, I really believe in. I have patients in every decade of life who make that ring true. Spend money on things that make you feel good, a great blow-dry or a fabulous lipstick. It's never wasted. Thanks for watching and all your great comments! x
Thank you Dr. Sam:))) I saw all your videos including the one you mentioned, and have the same beliefs. Bimatoprost is doing a great job, can't remember that I ever went out with bad hair (takes 20 min max) but love to turn many things in life into humor and laughter. It puts strain on laugh lines, but lots of joy in my and the souls of my loved ones:)
Lovely and natural , makes a lovely change from the piles of makeup I see on you tube , beautiful , have to say you look fantastic without it too xxxxxx
Hi Dr. Sam, I have a question about sunscreen. I am currently using a European formulation of La Roche-Posay Ultra Fluide SPF 50 with Mexoryl SX, Mexoryl XL and Tinosorb S. I watch lots of You Tube videos where people say they have sunscreen on and commence with liquid primer, liquid foundation, wet beauty blenders, brushes, their fingers, and buffing and rubbing... argh... does that not disrupt the sunscreen? Also, when I put on moisturizer, the sunscreen takes a while to set. Should I be moisturizing AFTER that chemical sunscreen? Thank you for any guidance you can offer. Also, thank you for saying you only moisturize the dry parts. I put it all over my face and neck, and now I will just concentrate on where I need it!
Love your videos, and especially when you try new angles. Feels like getting to know a new friend! (Haha hope that doesn't make me sound too sad, I have real friends I swear ;-) And your scoldings are definately your best instagrams!
Every day - I would always wash fingers before touching my face and working with my skin so think that this is how we should maintain this oh-so-useful tool.
Do you not find the uneven light (stronger one side of the window than the other) makes it difficult to get a balanced result? I can't do anything (eye shadow, eye browns cheeks especially) when I am at an angle to the window. Really frustrates me!
This is a little off topic, but I have a video request! Would love for you to give your opinion on pH and skincare as there is so much talk about that right now. I have the new Drunk Elephant Beste cleanser and its pH is 6.4 which seems high. What do you think? Also curious what you think about the whole alkaline foods thing as well from an MD perspective if you're willing to tackle that in a video ;-)
Interesting... I’ve seen several of your videos and never noticed you wearing a highlighter. It’s probably be cause your using a light hand and a less “glitzy” one. Here in the US, women seem to use “a lot of glow.” I, myself, prefer a less “glitzy” highlighter... only for the evening. (I use one of the Hourglass Ambient powders, with a small highlighter brush.)
Hi Dr. Sam, thanks for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with us in all your videos. I've been obsessed with them, but have always shied away from commenting. You're awesome. Can you suggest ways to remove bad burns resulting in an overly strong chemical peel administered to me by an incompetent doctor? It's been 5 monthd now... I had gone in for my melasma but now I have both melasma AND burn marks where you can actually see where she applied the chemical. I am beyond depressed and feeling pretty hopeless. Please help 😘
Scolding or speaking to someone in very direct terms is never fun, but generally needed or helpful in correcting inappropriate (beauty regimen) behaviors.
You know something is wrong with NARS shades when someone as pale as Dr Sam (and Irish, no less), is in the shade MEDIUM 1 🤨 They May have changed their shades now though, because I’m Indian and I tried custard in store today and it was way too dark for me.
Unsubscribing as this started out as a refreshing change from others who were constantly changing products. You said to stop experimenting and I have lost count of the different brow things you changed! I stupidly wasted money on buying some of the makeup items that proved hopeless like Sisley concealer
the siseley concealer has great reviews - remember that a product recommended by one person may look crap on the next I'd their skin type is different. application can also make or break a product in addition to the condition of your skin
Wow, I'm thinking......brows.....I think I've suggested 3 products in total since I started doing these videos (Bobbi Brown Brow Gel, Kevyn Aucoin Pencil and now this) . The Sisley I find awesome and I'm down to the end of the last bit of the tube....sorry the suggestions haven't suited you, but make-up is a lot more personal than skincare.
I love the realistic approach of your videos. You definitely are an example to what most women actually use . Most youtubers are unrealistic with the amount of products they use . You look great without the 100 layers .
Thank-you!
I love how posh Dr.Sam is.

Thanks for the love! I really doing enjoy the videos, although at times it feels a little exposing!!!! Will add this great suggestion to the list!
Great video Dr Sam. Also could not help but notice your beautiful new bathroom. As a person who loves her soaking baths, I can appreciate your thrill at finally having a proper bathtub in your new place. I know it's off topic but I'd love a home tour!
It SO amazing to have a proper tub! I'm ecstatic!!
Really enjoyed this Dr Sam - both the skin care content and your chit-chat. Definitely a winning combo! :-)
Thank-you!
You are so beautiful and sophisticated and it's such a refreshment to see someone do their makeup in such a simple and natural way :) You go dr. Sam
Natural makeup is an essential skill. Especially when it comes to applying foundation. This is perfection, Sam. And I adore your Irish complexion.
Thank-you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!

Love the idea that the videos are reaching someone in Alaska! Thanks for tuning in!!!
Love the natural makeup, looks great!
Thanks!

That sounds odd to do 😭

I always need powder

When I get a comment like this, it makes it so worthwhile!
Really enjoyed this video!! Loved your ease and humour...and of course your make up tips!
I love your routine. Would you do a video on makeup for textured skin. Even the minimal can look too much.
Yes, let me think upon that, its a great idea.
textured
I have to say that you look stunning without make up Dr. Sam!
Ahhh, you're too kind! Thank-you.
Loved this natural look! You are so pretty. Please do a hair tutorial on the hairstyle in this video xx
So kind. Ok, will do!
Love it so much! You actually used most of the products I tend to wear everyday. The Sisley and Burberry being my favorites! Would love to try the D&G brow liner. Sometimes we need a bit of scolding, we almost expect it from doctors. Nice to see you in your home environment. 😊
Ha ha ....tough love.....I agree!
this was GREAT. i dont know how you managed to do your full face so nicely in about 10minutes :/ it takes me way longer. could you tell me how i can repair my skin after using either strong benzol creams or picking breakouts or just breaking out quite badly, afterwhich the skin feels really damaged?

How do you reapply spf during the day while wearing make up?
Perfect makeup for the day! Please, make a video: how you style your hair. Love. Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion, will do!
Hi Dr.Sam what watch are you wearing it looks lovely on you ?
A nice, clean and beautiful look! Thank you for sharing, and I kind of like the scolding!
Could you give us an estimate of how long you wait between skincare and makeup application please?
Makes sense that a dermatologist would apply her makeup so nicely. Both makeup artists and dermatologists have an eye for what the skin needs.
I love how you did this!
I'm Irish and have very pale skin with a lot of redness on the cheeks and nose, is there anything that can help reduce the redness? I don't drink alcohol.
Azaleic acid - great for redness-prone skin.
Thanks, I'll check that out.
@@siramea look for PCA pigment bar and pigment gel. Can be found on LaLa Daisy
Lovely! Plus, thanks for real laugh out loud moment when you made your "like children" remark.
I need more of a filter sometimes....!
This is my routine except fof the foundation. Great video!
We all need a scolding once in awhile, thank you for the Beautiful Makeup tips😁

Your skin is flawless your so lucky
Beautiful look! I love your necklace as well! Will you please link the specs on the necklace if available?
I did not see you apply any eye liner or shadow? Enjoyed this video
Nope, there's none. I skip it for day, just for night. See the next video.....!
Have you tried the Burberry Fresh Glow foundation? I think that’s what took the place if Bright Glow, correct?
Very nice routine!
A bit like children had me cackling
Laughter is good!
This is elegant!
Love your videos, and especially when you try new angles. Feels like getting to know a new friend! (Haha hope that doesn't make me sound too sad, I have real friends I swear ;-) And your scoldings are definately your best instagrams!
Love the look! Wish I could shop with you, and you pick out my makeup!
Very beautiful!! Do you use dampened beauty blenders or do you use them dry? You are gorgeous!!
Damp.Always damp! So kind. x
Dr Sam Bunting Thank you so much!! X

Do you recommend Rapid Lash, Revitalash or Latisse for eyebrows and eyelashes?
You talk about retinoids and retinol. Is differin gel one of those?
Perfect💕. I so love a widows peak! It turns every woman into a sweetheart face. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
You're so elegant without even trying. I hope I'm as effortlessly beautiful as you when I'm your age
So sweet!!
Her age lol...doc is young 😉
I was surprised when you said you're 'custard' in the NARS. I am super pale in Chantilly. I though we may have similar tone, but not so sure now.
Amusegirl1980 actually I use Vanilla more!
Can you please tell me what nail polish you are wearing? It looks really nice. Lots of love from România. ^_^
Love it, beautiful, natural, this is what I do too :)
It's you but a better version, right? Thanks!
Yes, exactly :)

What make up to use if you have rosacea and combo?
Thanks for the video. You look lovely with the natural fresh makeup look (and without the makeup too). Nice bathroom setting. Lol on children comment.
Wow, A Dr with naturally good looks!
Scolding or speaking to someone in very direct terms is never fun, but generally needed or helpful in correcting inappropriate (beauty regimen) behaviors.
Hi did you use both Beauty blenders damp ? Xxxxx
Doc said above, yes...
Hi! Love your vídeos! Could you please do a video of under eye?
Eek, a tough area!!! Yes, will do.
What is the color of the Becca SSP that you use? Thanks!
Pearl.
A damp beautyblender wont remove mineral sunscreen?
Brows and mascara before foundation/ concealer, what kind of madness is this???
To each, his or her own 😳
Lovely!
Which sunscreen?
Love this!
Perfect.
You are gorgeous, love your videos
Thank-you!
Thank-you!

Chic et sophistiquée
Well that’s was fun
The fact a curology ad was before this
You are hilarious!! Lol
U r perfect 😙
So sweet! :)
You remind me of Mary poppins!
Expensive products that many can't afford.
But there are dupes out there!
You're an incredibly beautiful woman.
you should really change the shape of your eyebrows!!
What?!
Unsubscribing as this started out as a refreshing change from others who were constantly changing products. You said to stop experimenting and I have lost count of the different brow things you changed! I stupidly wasted money on buying some of the makeup items that proved hopeless like Sisley concealer
phoenix we all try different things at some point . I think she is pretty great with her products unlike most youtubers that change every week
the siseley concealer has great reviews - remember that a product recommended by one person may look crap on the next I'd their skin type is different. application can also make or break a product in addition to the condition of your skin

Hilarious. Sam clearly says she's finished her KA pencil and is using up the D&G product she has found. Can't please everyone I guess! 🙄🙄🙄
