@@redbanditracing are you planning on putting VXL-3s 3500 in it? I just put it in mine and definitely need some cooling fans running 3s battery. Ended up trying a 2s 7600 battery and with everything else stock besides GTR shocks this truck runs nice on that. Curious to see what you think!
Thank you for the sub. Learning on something that is 2wd like the bandit, stampede, or the slash is great because you learn control. Then when you go to something that’s a 4X4 it becomes much easier to handle, and you can then work on speed, and tricks. I’ve also thought it’s best to learn on something that’s hard to control first.
Very nice video, good explanations of what you are doing, taking the time for it and bringing it in view. Keep them coming, so I can get into the hobby and actually now what and how I should maintain my vehicles.
ive taken apart all of our diffs. maxx, mini erevo, hoss, and rustler and they all had minimal fluid which i added more. all these videos ive watched where people have taken apart their diffs say the same thing that there is not enough fluid. if its such a cause of concern for everyone, which i agree it is, i wonder why traxxas does this? what is their reasoning behind this.....?
These are mass produced, and majority just don’t get filled. It cuts cost for Traxxas, and it gets you to buy more parts when they fail for being low on fluid. I’m sure they know all their diffs are low.
I like the drill/electric screw driver you were using. Would you mind sharing the name and price. Also would you do the same for the drill bits, thanks u
The electric bit driver you can get at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Amazon. It’s the Ryobi cordless bit driver, they make a few different ones and cost between $30-40. The bits are MIP, you can get those on Amazon, Amain Hobbies, or most Hobby Stores. They have a lifetime warranty and work very well.
Check your owners manual, all specs are listed. Stock fluid for the differential is 30K front/rear, we use marine grease for the housing to help with moisture.
Antenna has a set screw that is why it was so hard to take off and on. Great video
Haha OMG, didn’t see that. Thank you
😢😊😢
Just got the same truck, keep the upgrades coming, I’ll be doing the same to mine! Thanks man, helpful vid!
No problem, VXL is next

Check out some of our Rustler and MAXX one year reviews. We went into which car to get some more, hope that helps.
Excellent job bro, thank you for doing this I learned alot.

Thank you, appreciate it.
Great video!!! What drivers are you using that fit the RYOBI?
They are MIP bits
What diff fluid were you using? I recently got a rustler BL-2S and I'm going to check mine now.
Stock fluid should be 30K

Nickname it Stumpy like i do 😂👍
Can I ask what do you add to the differtial? I am bit new to RC cars. Thx.

I just ordered a Hoss. Is the process for the diffs the same?
Yes, most of the 1/0 scale 4X4 differentials are the same process.
Do you have a recommendation for setting up the TQI Link remote, unfortuanetly there is no preset.
What presets are you referring to? Setting up the TQI with the Traxxas app?
@@redbanditracing Yes setting it up in the app. At the moment you can not simply select the Stampede BL-2S as it is not available from the selection.
Recommended shock replacements by chance and what brand to buy?
We will definitely be going to Traxxas GTR shocks, they’ve worked great on the Rustler.
What type of springs do you buy since they don't come with them from traxxas website.
Do you know what diff fluid comes in the Hoss? Thanks
Same as the Stampede, the front is 30K, and the rear is grease.
@@redbanditracing Thanks!
4pede ver2
Huh?
VXL wannabe . 😊
Definitely wants to be, and VXL is shall be
Or is the HOSS a wannabe stampede?
