My husband and I bought this tent for bike packing the outer Hebridean way this year. Loved it! We used all the pegs provided and always used the guy lines. You have to set the outer tent and the inner tent to be taught, the bath tub then holds a good form and the outer tent stands proud. Unfortunately, on our journey we noticed that one of the tiny clips that attaches the inner tent to the frame was missing. This became critical on an extremely windy night as the whole structure then had an area of weakness… which caused the tent to almost collapse on the corner it was missing. On return, we contacted the dealer we’d purchased it from. They replaced the whole tent… we would have been content with repair/service but as it’s an American product that’s the way their policy roles…. So the environment/ethical stuff goes out the window then. We, like Abbie loved the design of the tent, every detail is thought of. Nothing is wasted, space and material wise… it’s a finely tuned piece of engineering. It’s roomy for two, the two door design is great for nighttime nature calls without having to climb over each other 😆. We’d highly recommend the Nemo Dagger 👌🏻…ps.. I can concur it’s also so easy to set up and take down. 😊
Love the review Abbie! Glad you liked it - the internal space, 2 doors and ethical views were all key reasons why we bought it (and we liked the landing zone 😅) We bought the 3P so we have space for the 2 of us. The weight seemed a reasonable compromise based on everything else!
Have the 2p tent can't fault it haven't used it in winter but it stood up to the high winds in patagonia. Haven't had any issues with condensation inside either.
Great Video, been looking at the 2 person of this myself. I have Nemo Hornet 1 person, packs very small and light. I used on the Cumbria Way earlier this year, very happy with that one.
I have the Hilleberg Soulo for worst weather. I have the 2P Dagger for other weather. Dagger is well made and spacious. It weighs nearly a pound less than the Hilleberg. That helps. Happy with both.
Great vid Abbie, as the norm 😊 Pretty amazing tent. Not a fan of inner first either though. I have a wild country helm compact 2. Just for the extra space and 2 doors, otherwise I might have gone for the compact 1. Have done several wild camps and overnighters while doing medical cover at events. Think we briefly chatted about tents on the walk you led on Portland earlier this year 😊😊 Speaking of which, anymore guided walks planned?? Would love to join you again. Hope you’re doing well. Take care 😊😊
Have the older version of this tent and it has a lot of condensation issues. The vents on the fly zipper are a joke. We have tried different configurations and always seem to have a lot of condensation inside the fly. Which then drips down Inside the tent. We went back to using our old eureka timberline for canoe camping. Never had condensation problems with that tent. This tent needs a better venting system higher up on the rain fly.
Thanks Abbie 👍 I've not seen Jakes Foot before and it looks like they've been around for ~20 years. Neat idea. Made by a Korean engineering company (search DAC Poles). There doesn't look like much of a socket and being plastic, I wonder if the socket edge wears out. Anyone got long term experience using them ?
I don't need a three person tent either, but Nemo is a new name to me. I have never seen one out in the wild but I am just about to click off and see whether they have any decent one person lightweights, like sub 1000g all in.
I have a msr mutha hubba, used it for 3 years so know it well now. Just don’t see how this nemo copy adds anything feature wise but is heavier and poorer quality. Am I missing something 🤔
We looked at the 2 of them side by side when purchasing this… the Nemo was more airy inside, felt bigger too and as Abbie pointed out lots of little features all added up. Question marks over the durability of the water proofing on the MSR didn’t help either…

Great, thorough review! Thanks Abbie!
I have the 2p and its so easy to set up/take down. help up well in 40mph winds with hail- stayed dry and no issues with it collapsing.
Looking great Abbie! I watched this with absolutely no intention of buying this tent... but now I kinda want it!

Bought the 2 person version a few months back. Looking forward to using it for great glen way.

durability of poles over time is a crucial for tents I feel...
I can't decide between this or the dragonfly 3p
Dragonfly is lighter and paks smaler.

Assume you’ve found it already but they have a few.. the Hornet Elite is the lightest at about 800g packed
👋👍🤗❤️
