@@sinisterisrandom8537 Ok, "perfect" might be exaggerated, but when you do a concert then it should be as perfect as possible, as well, and a concert is always a one take.^^ So trying to achieve the same for an audio should be a no-brainer.
There is something about the acoustics of classic churches out of stone or brick - which is of course not not random in any way. First time I visited England I walked past a village church, on my way to some shops, and heard the choir inside practicing Amazing Grace. It was on the same time just so fitting so much a cliche it just checked so many boxes, like it was just out of portrait of how a English village is supposed to be.
This is what most modern churches don't get. Strumming a guitar and singing a pop song about how great Jesus is doesn't bring anyone into the church at all. The ancient beauty of singing adoration for God does. It was the beauty of the Divine Liturgy in the Hagia Sophia that led to Russia becoming Christian
Holy balls. Just. Wow. I've heard a LOT of halo covers in my time but never anything close to this, the depth of the sound here, the accoustic fullness, just. Wow. Blown away. Dumbstruck. Where's that Patreon link I need to go sign up!

If this is not edited then this is absolutely stunning. Their voices are so locked in that the overtones and undertones they are producing sound like a choir of about 10 people. Phenomenal. And the space between their notes sounds like it’s filled with instruments, which is incredible
I don't think it's edited, if so it's very misleading since the title of it is singing in an actual church. You're not running natural church reverb through autotune and expecting anything but garbage. You do need to record in vocal boxes, or at least an isolated room, if you're going to do any pitch editing. Totally possible to do it that way and just record the video in a church, it just doesn't look like it to me. I'm just an amateur though.
Vocal music at its peak has those sounds between the voices, I don't know what it's called exactly. but if it's *RIGHT*, three voices sound like hundreds.
I seriously can not believe only 3 men with their voices produced this! If there's ever an end to the Halo story where chief dies and we get a final send off, this is definitely the soundtrack they should use.
Except Chief will never die. He'll just keep saving the world from weaker & worse enemy factions that they'll pull out of the ether. He makes too much money & they're too uncreative to let his story die & look elsewhere in the Halo Universe.
I've always said that the Halo saga has one of the richest, complex and admirable soundtracks to listen to in the gaming history. Besides, what a talent! It left me with goosebump.

@@DerLebakasGott he's clearly bitter, but probably for good reason. Like that the Halo Infinite campaign is Far Cry 3 with a halo skin + a very careful and poorly composed retelling of the first trilogy in one disjointed go. Tons of fun in the combat loop, but other than that, the game is simply not anything past a 7.5-8.6/10 realistically. The insanely positive reaction of the halo community can only be explained by the extremely low bar of AAA gaming right now. Halo Infinite should win awards in the year 2012 not 2021.
The overtones are what get me. I can hear the overtone soprano part consistently but it's joined by 1-2 alto voices in parts. It takes incredibly precise harmony to make that resonance work. My classically-trained ass needs a place like this I can just go sing, I miss this architecture.

That's why Cello sounds so beautiful, it is closest to the human voice (:
I once played in a wind orchestra and that one time all instruments matched perfectly and it sounded like a choire. Never happened a second time.
The human voice is the original and greatest of all instruments. Hearing a beautiful voice is like hearing the voice of gods and goddesses. We are moved.
That’s also some polyphonic techniques they’re using.
Couple thousand year old chapel will do that, you see those damn arches? Plus their voices were forged by the thunder of the gods I’m just saying

Imagine walking past a church or monastery and hearing this. Pure chills 🤯
Bring back Tradition!
@@bzdtemp that's incredible
This is what most modern churches don't get. Strumming a guitar and singing a pop song about how great Jesus is doesn't bring anyone into the church at all. The ancient beauty of singing adoration for God does. It was the beauty of the Divine Liturgy in the Hagia Sophia that led to Russia becoming Christian
I would actually go in for once lol
